Borgo Di Pietrafitta Relais

We stayed in small apartment that was nicely furnished and in good condition. Location is very good in "the best part of Tuscany". There are lot of beautiful small villages and towns to visit nearby. View from the villa and pool is macnificant.

Borgo di Pietrafitta Relais is idyllically situated, surrounded by a beautiful landscape and with only a short drive to the beautiful little town of Castellina. The apartments are spacious and charming, and well equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay without spending all your cash in restaurants. The staff is wonderfully helpful and friendly. Be sure to try their own wine.

internet is working only close to reception and ONLY during business hours of the reception, e.g. in the evening internet wi-fi is not possible in the apartments they could offer also a bit of salt, sugar and coffee, so you do not need to bring whole bunch of these tinny things for vacation. Shop is nearby but still it takes you 30 minutes to it and back

Location on a Tuscan hill was beautiful. You're left verymuch to your own devises so nobody disturbs you.

Could have an iron in the apartment, Mosquitos were a pest and was asked to pay for wines that were charged to our room even though we hadn't bought any. In the end we weren't charged but left us embarrassed and left a slight negative in an otherwise fab holiday.

Amazing hotel, pool incredible and the complementary wine tasting held at the hotel was fabulous! As the the food, breakfast great (fruit, coffee, toast, cake, yogurt), restaurant 5 min walk from the hotel just divine. You need a car around here as lots of small towns and wineries to check out. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Borgio di Pietrafitta is a high quality, old-world, rustic yet renovated place, perfect for just chilling by the pool - sort of like a mini- village with old-style mini-townhouses - but a couple of minor drawbacks (for us and maybe not for others and this may be a minority opinion) in that our unit did not have any views from the living room (some of course do), no door opening out onto the terrace - perhaps designed that way to keep house cool in summer - the view from the table outside where we ate breakfast and some nights dinnner was fine - but then there was a privacy issue as you were in full view of neighbours dining on their terrace as well - also if you need wifi on holiday - and many would say you don't - but we had some work to do as we are travelling for 6 weeks in europe - you had to walk up to reception. In short we intentionally chose Chianti region and Castellina over Greve. But for novices, the countryside around Greve, Radda and closer to Siena is more scenic. Our view faced west and our days were 35 to 40 deg C. Borgo di Pietrafitta was very nice - the problem was more regional - having been to Provence, Chianti lacks a lot - in France and even Austria - there a musical treats in village square etc Tuscany shuts down for a few hours in middle of day. I am a cyclist so Chianti was perfect for this - Good staff, a nice social wine and cheese tasting session late on one afternoon - overall, most people would love this place - our neighbouring guests were from Bavaria and after a day increased their booking from one week to two

Sean on reception who was working when we arrived friendly. I had contact with other two staff both females, one I asked why we had no private sitting area she was not helpful and did not offer to move us even though there were empty units available. On checking out the girl on reception did not ask us if we enjoyed our stay she was very ungracious. The accommodation was fine - however it was spoiled by the fact that we had no private outside sitting area. The hotel itself needs a bit of a spruce up in reception area. The reception area is not inviting. The grounds need tidying up. The BBQ area needs weeding and some Sean on reception who was working when we arrived friendly. After our warm welcome, we were shown a lovely, immaculate 2 BR apartment with a full kitchen, sleeping spaces for 6, and a convenient clothes washer. Our unit was also handicapped accessible and overlooked a gorgeous view and the hotel's infinity pool. We traveled with 2 other adults (family). The setting was serene (we never heard or saw the other guests) and restful, the staff responsive and helpful. It was convenient to many local towns, with great restaurants and delicious wine.

Remember, this is a housekeeping apartment with the basics being a small bag of clothes washing soap and dish detergent. Remember to bring cone-shaped coffee filters if you plan to make American style coffee. (There is an espresso pot for your caffeine fix.) There is a market in the town with everything you need, however it's closed on Sundays so plan accordingly. The hotel offers you the option of having some groceries there when you arrive. It was the perfect 4-day break between Rome and Venice.

Camera normale, onesta, arredata in stile consono al luogo, ma molto triste, spoglia , piccola e buia frigo bar in comune!!? 140 euro a notte per la camera standard pretendono che gli ospiti a luglio e agosto possano avere un frigorifero in camera anche per mettersi in fresco la finocchiona comprata al mercatino!(si fa per dire ma il senso è quello) Colazione inadatta: ottimo il prosciutto crudo e il salame ma la frutta offerta in agosto si limitava mele e arance????? Suvvia si può fare di più con frutta di stagione:pesche,albicocche,melone e anguria. Pane in cassetta tipo mulino bianco!!???? Solamente un giorno ho visto un po' di pane toscano tipico!questo proprio non va bene. Personalmente, visto un bel pollaio pieno di galline all'interno del Borgo, mi aspettavo delle belle uova fresche rimestate o quantomeno sode, mai visto un'uovo!!!! Qualche dolcetto a ciambella, onestamente non male,biscotti secchi discutibili, marmellata e miele qualche corn flakes,succo ananas,succo arancia e latte Certo potrebbe bastare per una colazione ma il luogo e il livello del relalis impongono maggiore scelta e migliore qualità. Orario delle colazioni 9.00-10.00 ? mettiamo alle 7.00-7.30 e siamo in caserma!! Onestamente troppo restrittivo per prezzi camera/appartamento che non sono altissimi in assoluto ma nemmeno popolari, le colazioni dovrebbero partire alle 8.30 e finire alle 10.30. Nell'insieme è un Relais di ottimo livello, bellissimo e regalerà una stupenda vacanza a chi lo frequenta, ma la Direzione dovrebbe porre un po' di maggior sensibilità nella colazione e un po' di creatività per le camere, vista la qualità generale del servizio è un peccato "incappare" in errori importanti come la prima colazione.

De locatie en de appartementen zijn prachtig en zeer gunstig gelegen voor een bezoek aan oa Florence en Siena. De appartementen zijn goed uitgerust en zeer ruim.

Ons appartement (Pera 4) was gelegen op de 1e verdieping en heeft geen eigen gelegenheid om buiten te zitten. Dat betekent dat je binnen moet ontbijten omdat het tafeltje wat buiten stond voor 4 appartementen steeds bezet was. Aan de omgeving is niets gedaan om de sfeer te verhogen, het oogt wat kaal en slordig. Airco in de appartementen ontbreekt en het was er met 38gr bloedheet.

Cadre exceptionnel à 600m d'altitude. Calme absolu, charme fou de ce tout petit hameau. Magnifique piscine. Personnel discret.

Petit bémol en ce qui concerne le petit déjeuner-buffet : pas de pain frais, ni de croissants ou de viennoiseries. Le pain de mie censé faire l'affaire n'est pas inoubliable !

Uitmuntende ligging en kader. Echt een uniek mooie plaats centraal in de Chiantistreek.

Enkel WiFi in het hoofdgebouw en niet in de individuele huizen op het terrein.

Logement très agréable situé en pleine campagne toscane.L'endroit est rêvé pour les personnes qui souhaitent être au calme. Situé idéalement entre Florence et Sienne, l'établissement permet d'être dans un cadre authentique. Notre logement était très propre et bien équipé. La piscine à débordement est idéalement située sur la propriété (très belle vue sur la campagne toscane).

Je pense que cet établissement est moins calme en pleine saison car nous avons remarqué que les murs étaient mal isolés au niveau phonique. Les tarifs pour la location d'équipements complémentaires nous ont semblé un peu élevés (15 euros par jour pour un vélo par exemple). La piscine n'est pas chauffée et n'était pas en service lors de notre séjour (avril).

Fantastica ristrutturazione, ottimo gusto nell'arredo, posizione e contesto meravigliosi. La camera doppia standard è molto spaziosa e, come il bagno, pulitissima. Lo staff è stato molto accogliente e disponibile a darci utili informazioni sulla zona.

Colazione migliorabile dato il livello della struttura, non tanto per la quantità quanto per la qualità.

Przepiękne miejsce, w sercu Chianti, chyba najpiękniejszego rejonu w całej Toskanii. Doskonale odnowione stare budynki, na uboczu a jednocześnie blisko Castellina in Chianti, Sieny i Florencji. Pokoje na dole mają własny kawałek zieleni ze stolikami do biesiadowania itp.

Hay mucha tranquilidad.El personal (Simon) muy agradable.

Es raro que de noche no quede personal en el hotel y te den una clave para entrar si sales a comer.No quiero ni pensar que sucede si la llegas a perder.
