Great staff (helped with eager on our every inquiry, even called factories for us arranging tours), great views and area of the hotel; gery well-kept around which makes it a stunning place; 10 min to the station but much further to the city centre. A bit far to the centre, around 30 min in slow walk

Easy access by car, this was the main reason for selection. Pleasantly surprised by the fantastic breakfast, best we had on our 3 week travel. Great gardens, nice staff. Not so convient if walking into town, we had a car so no problem.

Great breakfast close to town center friendly, efficient staff clean, bright rooms a top floor room 100 yards from railway shunting yard. Diesel fumes through open bedroom window from trains at lunchtime. Appears to be an idyllic countryside hotel on their website -- reality: a fine hotel, but in the city, and 100 yards from an active big city railway shunting yard. Not a restful hotel.

The staff were exceptional - Happy friendly and helpful. The wine was excellent The approach road was a little off putting on arrival. But I am sure the huge Coop was built a long time after the original villa

The staff was amazing, beautiful hotel, very clean. Great breakfast even the shower products were great. Did I say how helpful and ridiculously nice the staff was? It can be a bit of a pain to get to Siena. Quite far too walk and you can't park in Siena so you have to leave it in a parking, some of them can be very pricey.

Very nice hotel with garden features. Tasty breakfast and staff was very helpful with restaurant suggestions/directions. Not a biggee, but the signs to the hotel are hard to find and the Cable TV instructions need to be revised.

Comfortable, clean, new lovely furniture, even a dishwasher. English speaking at the reception. Overall - the nicest appartment type of accomodation during our 10 day trip in Tuscany. None

We liked the location and the setting (beautiful in winter, although the setting would be stunning in summer) of the hotel/guest house. The service and cleaning of the room was seamless. The breakfast was wholesome and adequate. We particularly liked the bathroom products which are made specifically for this establishment (travellers can purchase the same) as well as the small touches such as the freshly baked cakes (madeleines) placed in your room on a daily basis. The owner/staff speak english and are very forthcoming with information on what to do in and around the area. Ample parking.

Excellent staff with good suggestions for sightseeing, great breakfast, rustic but good value hotel. Isolated location - but reasonably close to old city. A few stairs to negotiate with luggage. Room seemed to be over heated.

The apartment was spacious and well furnished. It was nice to also have a washer and dryer available. We ate most of our meals at the room as it was very convenient to walk down the road to the market to buy whatever we needed. The staff was very cordial and helpful. The bathroom was a Tad small but certainly serviceable.

It was very quiet especially considering that it was so close to the city. Breakfast is not included if you rent an apartment.

The proximity to the centre of Siena. The layout of the grounds and swimming pool. Very comfortable furniture and good facilities. It would be so much nicer if there was at least 1 table lamp in the living room. Sitting under one centre ceiling light is not the best. That is the only criticism.

The apartment was very well appointed with good facilities. The Co-op supermarket was very close, making it easy to stock up on basic supplies. Pretty location. No window in the bathroom and a limited exhaust fan meant the bathroom was moist all the time.

We found the accommodation perfect for a family of 4. The room was clean and had all the facilities we required . It was close to the train station and supermarket. This was important to us as after a full day sight-seeing we preferred to stay in and cook our own meals. This also saved on keeping the cost down. Having access to a pool and providing free car park was an attraction. The staff where friendly and answered all our questions. I would recommend Borgo Grondaie and would not hesitate to stay there again. WIFI access was only from the public area - would be a good idea to have access from the guest rooms.

I was admitedly hesitant when I saw we were driving into the train station but was pleasantly surprised how little noise was present. I wish the hotel would serve a dinner option as there is nothing extremely close.
