Awkward to find. Address doesn't register on TomTom, but will get you close.
Unit and setting awesome, Good facilities, friendly and very helpful staff.
Bit far from siena old city
setting .gardens ,pool attentive staff
access to town difficult on foot
THE STAFF WAS MOST HELPFUL AND ACCOMODATING. BREAKFAST EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS.
THE INTERNET SERVICE WAS SPORATIC DEPENDING ON LOCATION ON THE PROPERTY.
Awesome experience from check in to check out!!! Very pleasant and helpful staff. Great breakfast selection. We really appreciated the use of the laundry facilities. The villa was only a few minutes from Siena walking or by taxi but felt like it was in the Tuscan country side. Very beautiful grounds. Beautiful gardens and pool. I would stay here again without a doubt!!! Loved it!!!
Can not think of anything I didn't like.
1. Great location 2. Amazing pool 3. Excellent wifi 4. Excellent facilities
Nothing I loved this place
Very clean Lovely large rooms Staff very professional, helpful and friendly Beautiful pool and grounds Large supermarket 2 mins walk away, excellent for self catering
Too far to walk into Siena with children
The room was fine and a delicious poll
Great friendly staff and comfortable accommodations in Sienna.
Loved the bike ride around Siena. Once you come into the property, peace and comfort surround you. Breakfast on the terrace was specially delightful.
The venue is lovely. Quite hidden amongst beautiful greenery a fair distance outside the walled centre of town. A 9 euro cab fare from the main square. We drove and parking was private, secure and free onsite. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner only Sat/Sun was very good. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Units are spacious and clean with a well equipped kitchen. Laundry facilities onsite for a small fee and a lovely pool. Huge Supermarket is walking distance and the food selection is amazing! Quality is exceptional. Great place to stay if you have kids.
My only concern was that the bed was very hard, but this is a personal choice. It is a driving distance from centre and train station - I recommend a cab if you are not driving.
The hotel itself is a jewel, it's a traditional tuscan residence turned into a hotel with extreme attention to details and taste. The rooms and public spaces look like if they were just refurbished and they were also very clean. The gardens are huge and very good kept and they even have a small farm with chickens :) Beds are very comfortable and rooms are exceptionally equipped. Our bathroom was spacious, clean and had a shower box. The breakfast is generous but unfortunately we didn't have lunch and dinner on property. The simming pool is a big plus and they can organize even massages in the hotel. Last but not least, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful!!! They offer umbrellas also if you forgot yours.
The hotel's location, if you arrive walking, is not the best but still we did some sport walking :) We came from the train station so be careful that you take the lower exit of the station and not the one up the hill after 10 electric stairs...
Staff very friendly and available to help you whenever necessary. Very good breakfast buffet with a lot of choice. The pool and garden.
Very kind location close to town and supermarket facilities including a pool and laundry and private parking and Wi-Fi Recommended
- The receptionist spoke good English and was very helpful. - The pool looked clean with a nice view over the hills. - The apartment was very clean and in good condition - The olive oil toiletries were amazing - Parking was easy
- The location was a little far from Siena - we ended up driving and paying for parking closer to the old town
Close to Siena within walking distance, yet country setting. Great daily breakfast with large variety. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Laundry facilities onsite were a blessing. Room was very comfortable with a view toward Siena. Close to the bus and train and large co-op grocery.
Cannot think of anything we did not like.
We liked that it was walking distance from the train station, grocery store and the wall of Siena. The room was comfortable, clean and loved the grounds. Would definitely stay here again!
Borgo Grondaie is a beautiful place to look at. The gardens are amazing and the surrounding terraces and potted lemon trees are so pretty. The traditional, authentic Tuscan style accommodation is very nice and in keeping with the theme of the whole place. You have everything you need in the kitchen, a living space and nice bedroom. its feels really homely. The bathroom is brilliant! The pool is big and good to swim in (if you wait until the out of control kids have gone away!) If you don't mind using the trees for shade you will be alright if you need to avoid the heat. There is a really handy laundry service (you have to pay but it is very reasonable), a nice little bar and you can order food if you want to hang around the accommodation rather than venture into town. Parking is on site and free and there is a really good supermarket right next door. The walk to the escalators into Sienna takes about 20 minutes but to get to Il Campo takes a lot longer so be prepared!!
Not complaining here - just our personal preference and it would have helped us to know these things. Having to get a new password for wifi access every 24 hours was a pain. Could benefit from having access to a small table and chairs as part of individual apartment facilities for all not just a few. Umbrellas around the pool would be useful. The apartment booklet suggests a route to visit vineyards in the area - okay if you have a very skinny 4x4 and don't mind severe drops from high hillsides!!
Everything. Rustic and homey feeling.
The apartment was in a perfect location--it is located in a very quiet area and has the feeling of being in a relaxing country area, but it is actually only about 7 minutes (driving) from the heart of Siena. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Apartment was clean and comfortable.
Location, garden, spacious room, pool. friendly staff
Our son became was bitten by a teak. We discovered this at eleven in the evening. There was no one to help us so we could the emergency number. Te owner told us she lived 25 km away. She pretend she didn't understand us. We asked for a pincet, but there was no reaction. So finally we went to the hospital were we had to wait for hours. Very small room for four persons. Bad beds. Old towels. Etc
The hotel was central, very good breakfast, good rooms, and swinngpool, the personal was good to English and happy.
The internet was not open all time, only from morning to 22/23 clock.
