Beautiful place and views. Staff was very nice and helpful. A little out of the way for getting to Il Campo, but good exercise walking. Having the Coop so close was great. I would certainly recommend Borgo Grondaie to friends and family.
The lovely buildings and gardens Tranquility away from the city centre Very friendly staff Super apartment with all the essentials which you needed. Very comfortable Wonderful buffet breakfast with lots of choice
It was at the bottom of the big hill to the city and on top of another - approx 35-40 min walk to il campo wifi was free but getting the daily code was a little bit of a hassle
Almost everything was great! Delightful location - an oasis near a busy town. typically Tuscan with good facilities, food and staff.
Room was a little cold (with stone floors), but we were staying in late October and heating provision is not until November 1st. which is acceptable.
Staff, breakfast, coffee, parking
Hard to find location
Lovely room and general ambience. Very quiet. Helpful staff. Great pool for warm weather.
Have to be prepared for a lot of walking if you do not have a car. Finally worked out the bus system but directions from staff were not complete enough to make it easy to find the bus stop (which was still a 10 minute walk).
You could not find a more perfect place to enjoy Sienna area. Highly recommend and will definitely return!
The breakfast they put out is fantastic. The pool is also really great. The location is just outside Siena but you can walk to the heart of the city in about half an hour.
a very nice apartment farm hotel, very clean and very good value for the price. near the train station -next time we will come by train from rome and rent a car in siena
Wi fi can be improved
Very helpful, English speaking, efficient staff. Lovely apartment- spotless, welcome basket of treats a nice touch, loads of towels Tuscan decor, firm comfortable bed=restful quiet sleep.countryside setting yet close enough to city wall-with garden space, pool, chirping birds and quaint charm.up the hill from train station and only 25 walk to Siena center for all the sights. Nicely tucked away from the crowds. Delicious croissants and variety of fresh baked goods, cheese, meats, breads, fresh fruit with your morning cappuccino for additional $8 Euro- well worth it. Check the helpful tips in the in room welcome guidebook - made use of free mountain bikes for surrounding hill town trail ride- great base spot for cyclists to explore Chianti and area! Grocery store/coop within 200 meters Bonus laundry room with iron setup for .50 each wash and dry.Church bells, and rooster call in the distance. Overall excellent choice for relaxed, helpful, self sufficient, country setting as base to explore Siena.
Wireless was free in room though sometimes patchy
Loved this place and would return any time. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Swimming pool a bonus. All the escalators up to Siena are just such a great idea and makes getting to this lovely city very easy.
Can't think of anything.
This was a total surprise. Oddly located adjacent to a grocery parking lot...but once on the property we were enchanted. An old farm villa that oozes charm but with modern amenities. Every detail lovely, including pretty china in the restaurant. 20 minute walk into Sienna. Launderette and a clothesline! Inviting outdoor seating and walking areas. Delightful staff. A real find.
Sorry we didn't book this as headquarters for the hill towns. Great relaxing spot after a long day.
We had a beautiful apartment. It was a beautiful setting just outside of Siena but we could walk to town. The supermarket was a close walk. The staff was friendly and accomodating.
We liked everything.
The setting, helpful staff, the location, the food served, the quality of the accommodation
Pool not heated, the walk uphill
Location was difficult to find
Great Staff. Quiet.Secluded
Awkward to find. Address doesn't register on TomTom, but will get you close.
Unit and setting awesome, Good facilities, friendly and very helpful staff.
Bit far from siena old city
setting .gardens ,pool attentive staff
access to town difficult on foot
No complaints gaia was so helpful
That we weren't there longer
THE STAFF WAS MOST HELPFUL AND ACCOMODATING. BREAKFAST EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS.
THE INTERNET SERVICE WAS SPORATIC DEPENDING ON LOCATION ON THE PROPERTY.
Awesome experience from check in to check out!!! Very pleasant and helpful staff. Great breakfast selection. We really appreciated the use of the laundry facilities. The villa was only a few minutes from Siena walking or by taxi but felt like it was in the Tuscan country side. Very beautiful grounds. Beautiful gardens and pool. I would stay here again without a doubt!!! Loved it!!!
Can not think of anything I didn't like.
Location is very quiet and peaceful, but is walking distance to the city (if you can cope with hills). Staff were very professional and helpful. Special mention for Gabriella, a very kind lady. All facilities were excellent, the outdoor pool with its scenic location was very welcome after city sight-seeing. Very atmospheric hill-side "hamlet" style accommodation.
It was chosen partly for its proximity to the station, but its not really walkable with wheeled luggage, owing to the hill and the gravelled drive. Not a big deal to take a taxi though. The approach road takes you round the back of a big supermarket, which is a bit off-putting the first time. Things improve considerably as you approach the hotel, however!
1. Great location 2. Amazing pool 3. Excellent wifi 4. Excellent facilities
Nothing I loved this place
Very clean Lovely large rooms Staff very professional, helpful and friendly Beautiful pool and grounds Large supermarket 2 mins walk away, excellent for self catering
Too far to walk into Siena with children
The room was fine and a delicious poll
