Nothing. It is one of the best places to stay,
I loved the Iesolana. It is probably one of the nicest and prettiest places I have ever stayed and I travel a lot.
The surroundings are beautiful, Iesolana itself is lovely and there is every attention to detail. Louise, who does the bookings and welcomes guests is wonderful. She is friendly, helpful and efficient as is all the staff. Francesco and his brother, Giovanni, are the owners and they are great.
There is a lovely dining room where Rosetta cooks dinners which are simple but wonderful. I wish Iesolana had a cookbook. I suppose they think there are so many Italian cookbooks but Rosetta makes wonderful, tasty, dishes which are simple but yet have a touch I wish I had. The dinners are very reasonably priced.
The gardens, pools, apts.etc. are lovely. Wonderful! This was our second trip to Iesolana and we are going back.
The Iesolana is within easy driving distance of Siena and the hill towns and not far from Montevarchi where one can take the train to Florence. Avoid driving to Florence if possible as parking is a nightmare as is the traffic.
