friendly staff, building with character, convenient location, clean spacious room, very comfortable firm bed

trains were close - noisy in the evening but not many ran at night! no views from the room - onto courtyard - and it was rather dark.

Fantastic location, the facilities were simple but clean and the staff were helpful.

There was no one at the reception when we arrived but once someone came the staff was helpful.

Room was large in sqft terms, albeit just a big open space with a small bathroom (so ideally it could have been laid out better). Breakfast was 7-10am, which is generous, and the food was OK. Staff coverage was a bit ad hoc due to the size of the hotel but always very friendly and helpful

No views - I knew this beforehand but wasn't expecting a brick wall 2 feet from the window. In an area of outstanding natural beauty, with hindsight I'd pay a bit more for a room in another hotel with a view. Plus our room was very dark, even with lights on

The wireless Internet was available and free but not very fast.

Staff were super helpful and friendly, gave us a carpark out the front which saved us a lot of money as spoke to others that were paying $20 euro a day at theior hotel. Rooms newly and tastefully recent refunb and furnishings, bed comfy, location is 10 - 15 mins walk along the waterfront into town which wasnt a problem for us

Location was excellent. Walking distance from train station and town centre. Room was very clean and spacious. Staff very helpfull.

Very nice hotel within easy walking distance from Como train station. Its about a 15 minute walk to the ferries, or maybe 20 minutes if you are bringing your luggage, as we did.

I would have preferred to stay a little closer to the ferries and tourist shopping areas of Como, but I am sure it would have been more expensive.

It was small and quiet, only a short walk from Como S. Giovanni railway station. The en-suite bathroom was an excellent standard, cleaned every day and lovely thick clean towels renewed each day of our stay. Breakfast was good, the rolls and croissants coming from a bread shop at the end of the street and freshly baked on the premises. Facilities to make tea or coffee in the room would have been nice but were available at the bar for a small charge. The air conditioning in the room was essential at night as it was very hot during our stay, but how to switch it on and off was not pointed out until we asked. The young man at reception when we arrived late at night was extremely helpful and spoke English well.

Perhaps better signage and attention to the exterior would make it stand out from other properties in the street.

The hotel rooms were recently renovated. The room was spacious and the bathroom large, nice, comfortable and modern. The room was nice decorated. The service was very good and the hotel employees were young and engaging.

The hotel building's outer appearance is poorly maintained.

Hotel was about 20-30 minutes from main part of Como but reasonably close to railway station.Rooms were small but comfortable & breakfast was quite good.

Very limited tourist information available at hotel. Staff had very little English but tried to be helpful & polite. Outward appearance & reception area of the hotel could be improved to make it more welcoming.
