Near to the main train station, walking distance to the few major attractions such as the collessum.staff also helpful. Single room way too small for the price paid.

Location is great! Double or bigger rooms are great; singles are very small. Many restaurants in walking distance, as well as gelataria shops, convenience stores, and some shopping. Very near central train station. Breakfast is good, but very repetitive. Noise from street is BAD! (Take ear plugs if you go!) No coffee or tea facilities in room. Undergoing some renovation. Small elevator. Bar was never open. No lobby space.

Great Location for all the site's of Rome & close to a metro station also Gigi at the front desk was very helpful. If you can get room 303 this comes with it own terrace which was bigger then the two rooms put together my friends were staying in & was really nice to sit in when it was hot & during the evenings! The drains sometimes smelled in the rooms & you have to pay for the wi-fi if you book with 3rd party's ie Booking.com & not directly with the hotel.

Staff were excellent. Very friendly and eager to help. Breakfast was more than enough. Overall we had a great stay in hotel Borromeo and would definately stay there again. Oh and you could'nt ask for a better location in rome. Nearly everything worth seeing was within walking distance........ Room could have been a bit cheaper. I thought it was a little expensive.

Clean, good location(near main station), friendly, good service There was over booking, so I need to stay other hotel for 3 nights. I could stay the hotel last 1 night. The alternative hotel is not bad, but this hotel is better than that in regard to shower, CATV, safety box and amenity.

Nothing much .. just the location. I didn`t like the Hotel because it was really poor about the rooms .. as well our booking through booking.com wasn`t a really good experience with this hotel because the rooms were not the same as the photos .. we felt like that we`ve been tricked with the booking.

We recently enjoyed 5 days at the Hotel Borromeo wonderful location close to major attractions convenient for buses and metro. We stayed in room 111 which was beautifully clean with a nice marble bathroom, breakfast was pleasant and taken on the rooftop.Staff were extremely helpful and were always around to ask for directions. We really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly reccomend the Hotel Borromeo

Friendliness off most staff (special mention to Igor the handyman, who was extremely helpful and cheerful with it). Very comfortable room and attractively furnished (room 111). Fantastic location in central Rome. Excellent breakfast on roof The fact I asked for a room as near as possible to my daughter but we were on different floors. The fact that it took 2 days to sort out the lock my daughter's room (she just couldn't open her door or shut it properly!)

The location is nice. A 10 minute walk from the train station. Most attractions in Rome are within walking distance. Our longest walk was to the vatican, which was an easy 40 minute walk. The collosium is 15 minutes. Everything else was somewhere in between. The hotel is quiet at night and the breakfast in the morning is pretty good for motel food. The bathroom sink would not turn off completely and there was a slow leak underneath that we just put towels under to control. The main shower head was missing, so just used the hand held shower head. It sprayed a little erratically, but figured out how to control it. These were minor issues, really.

The highlight is the elegant bathrooms, smart clean bedrooms and roof- top terrace in which to take breakfast. Its location was perfect for us as the main reason for the trip was to see the Colloseum, there is also a metro station very near which we used for the Vatican. There was plenty of variety of food for breakfast. The hotel corridors were very smart in mainly granite/marble effect, this could be further improved by extending this to the centre sections of each corridor and stairwells which in comparison were grubby. I had stated on the booking form "twin beds needed for 2 brothers" but ended up with a double bed for my sons. I did not query this at reception though as it was the day after when I checked that I had made clear my requirement.

The location of Hotel Borromeo was good for sightseeing in Rome. The decor was extremely tired with chunks of coving missing, tired furniture. I would only recommend the hotel for its location. The breakfast was fair, nothing special at all and the fruit looked a year old.

Good location close to the Metro/Tube. Very close to the Terminal main train station. Selection of restaurants outside on the road, and a small coop type shop nearby. Breakfast was fine, rooms clean, quiet, etc Hotel was booked for price and location, so there has to be a compromise, and that was clearly room size. We had a standard double room, but it was one of the smallest hotel rooms I've every stayed in UK/Worldwide. Normally I would expect a room the size of say a Travel lodge/Premier Inn room but this was 50% smaller. Room for double bed, and just space to walk round bed but nothing else. But for the price etc its was ok, being in Rome....

Staff was helpfull and friendly. We believe it is less than a 3 star hotel. This is based on room size and amenities. The price was a little more than it should have been based upon these statements. The location is great.
