Bosone Palace  

The location was very good, downtwon with easy access to the main attractions. The parking was located quite close so this was also conveniente. But the hotel does not look like a 4 start hotel: the room was old, I found a spider and a roach in the bed. The bathroom was also old. So it was not at all on a 4 star level. Neverthless the staff was very gentle.

Could be cleaner

Though it was cheaper than others listed in Gubbio, it was a lovely hotel, well decorated and the staff were very friendly.

The only thing I didn\t like was the lock on our door - it was very hard to open.

Very friendly, efficient staff - receptionists, waiters, housekeeperrs. A truly excellent choice at breakfast - including lots of fresh fruit, cereals, low fat yoghurt as well as the usual ham and cheese and brioche, and hard-boiled eggs, and a toaster. Our room was at the top and had a large terrace with a splendid view overlooking the town and the valley opposite. Excellent location - just below the duomo and just above the main shops and restaurants. Easy walking - if a bit hilly of course! Make sure you get the hotel's directions for access by car - not easy if you are not primed.

The Bosone Palace Garden Restaurant is a separate business, though run by the same family company. The food was pretty good, but the service was poor considering the pretensions of the place. For example, there were long waits after ordering and between courses, though it was by no means busy as we were early. The final straw was when we asked for fresh pineapple for desert, which we had seen being served at another table - there was the usual long wait - eventually the waitress came back to say it was unavailable(!). We had a 10% discount from the hotel, but the service was so slow we didn't leave a tip.

It is a very nice hotel, in the centre of gubbio, very friendly personal, great breakfast, great room, quadruple room, and a very nice bathroom. Excellent price.

The reception staff was very nice.Very well located. Is an old building very well preserved. The breakfast is good. There is good restaurants with good prices nearby like "Picchio Verde" in Via Savelli.

There was no English tv channel.

I liked the frescos in the suite, and also the central location. The furniture was also quirky and individual which is a style I like.

We were disappointed because: our suite was actually an adjoining room to another and so the double doors, though locked, allow all the noise from the neighbours to pass through...there was a family with 4 children staying next door. They were very noisy and completely spoiled our wish for a pleasent and tranquil stay from the moment they arrived, to late at night, and early in the morning. The receptionist offered us another room, far smaller and very ordinary. After unpacking and the tiredness of the day, we had no wish to pack up and move for just one night. We booked the suite because of the frescos experience etc We were then told that even if the noise continued, there would be no refund offered as they had offered an alternative. The suite is indiviual and impressive, but on a closer look, the net curtains are all stained, the walls grubby, light bulbs blown on the bedisde lights, dirt and dust on the sink surround under the toilettires and sanitary bags which had been 'cleaned around'..towels that had seen better days, and completely threadbare robes. No privacy in the bathroom at night from the window. The size and decor of a suite, with attention to detail and comfort missing though still cahrged a premium.

Staff cordiale e sorridente. La posizione a pochi passi da Piazza Grande è ideale per una visita della graziosa cittadina umbra. L'ambiente ricavato da un palazzo signorile è davvero incantevole, e le camere risultano eleganti e accoglienti. Buona la colazione.

Non ha un proprio parcheggio, e l'hotel consiglia un parcheggio a pagamento non certo vicino alla struttura. Io ho parcheggiato in una strada nella parte bassa della città, in una zona non a pagamento. Comunque è consentito arrivare con la macchina in prossimità dell'hotel per il carico e scarico dei bagagli

Hotel di fascino ,elegante , accogliente . problema in generale per il parcheggio . assurdo il passaggio delle auto in una cittadina storica che dovrebbe essere solo isola pedonale . perche' non pensare a delle navette con motore elettrico ? riccardo cerruti , biella

l'albergo è molto bello, in un palazzo storico in pieno centro a Gubbio. Molto curato e pulito. l'offerta della matrimoniale a 55 euro era molto vantaggiosa! veramente economico, anche perchè si tratta di un 4 stelle

ottima posizione, parcheggio non troppo distante gratuito, cordialità e disponibilità per ogni esigenza, ottima colazione abbondante e varia.

peccato per l'ascensore che non arriva al piano adibito per la colazione
