The Hotel Bretagna oozed character and was in a fantastic location fronting onto the River Arno. The bedroom was quiet and in a beautiful historic room with a stunning decorated ceiling. The bathroom had been recently refurbished and was spotlessly clean. Overall, a beautiful, quirky, characterful hotel in a fantastic location. Unfortunately the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Whilst we loved the antique furniture in the room, the matresses need updating. |

The hotel is on the banks of the Arno with a lovely view (from the 2-person balcony, serious) of the Ponte Vechio. The rooms were immaculately clean. The counter staff were very kind and helpful. Very convenient for visiting Florence and its major sites. There are clearly major renovations afoot and although this did not directly interfere with our stay it was clear from the cleanliness in the hallways and the attitude of the staff, i.e., things are in transition. The lounge is dingy and dark at the moment. |

We had a room that had the best view- looking out over the Arno river. The front entrance looks very dreary and the "lobby" looks even worse- it looks like a "pensionie" which is something that is advertised in the lobby.!! |

The view from room 38 was superb, and far better than we expected. Also the little balcony at reception was a great place to relax with a fantastic view. The bar facilities left something to be desired, after three bottles of chianti the bar was empty, and they had no wine glasses! |

The public areas have a very nice atmosphere with painted ceilings and a littlte balcony looking out on the river and the hotel has the perfect sutuation near shops museums etc but still quite quiet The staff are very helpful and friendly and spoke good english. Overall good value, I will stay there again on my next visit to Florence. My room was a bit tired looking and really need redecoration but was acceptable for the money. |

Had the double room with a view to the river. The extra cost for view was worth of every penny - you can enjoy the sunset, lively Ponte Santa Trinita and the view even to Ponte Vecchio! The room was excellent. The building has a huge history which is touchable, which actually could be promoted even more. The staff at the reception could not decide about the rules/methods for possibilities not to have fine when driving with you car in the historical city center in which the hotel is. Got a feeling the reception stuff was not regular. |

The location of the hotel is excellent, and literally overlookds the Ponte Vechio and is 5-10 mins ffrom all major squares, museums and train station...perfect for those trying to do it all in a couple of days! The hotel room that I stayed in was the budget option and had a common bathroom shared amongst 2 rooms. This bathroom was immaculate, the rooms were spotless but were very basic and dated....fine if you only need it to change, siesta and sleep! |

Conveniently located near the Ponte Vechio and within walking distance of all the main sites. Not so impressive building, there are 2 wings (one nice newly renovated and one desperately in need of renovation). Free wi-fi and nice breakfest. Even staying in the old wing, still a good experience. Great value for the money. |

A recent and meticulous refurbishing of Hotel Leonardo da Vinci has enhanced its character, rendering its atmosphere even more elegant and tasteful. |
Resting between the Duomo and Uffizi Gallery, for over 120 years this hotel has offered a fantastic location for exploring Florence. |
This charming hotel, housed in a restored 18th century palace, offers comfortable accommodation in front of the Teatro Comunale and just a short stroll from the city’s main historical attractions. |
The address says it all! Overlooking the beautiful church of Santa Maria Novella, Rosso23 is a modern hotel in an ancient building, set right in the heart of Florence. |
