Excellent location, great and helpful staff. We were upgrated to the junior room with no additional pay. The room faced the river and we enjoyed the magnificent view from the 4th floor. Highly recommend this place!

The location was excellent. Walking distance to all landmarks and amenities. Staff were friendly too. The hotel is not run very well and is in a poor state of repair. We asked for a baby cot and despite being told One will be available, it never arrived. We had arrived on a hot day tried to switch on the aircon, which did not work. Staff were told twice before someone came to the room to examine. The staff called the owner who said, they were not allowed to have aircon on during winter or spring. Staff were not aware of this. Complete rubbish. Wifi worked for one day. The phone line to reception was always engaged. Breakfast was less then mediocre. This a very poorly run hotel and I would not stay here again.

I have worked in the international travel business for 23 years and this hotel has the hardest most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in. It was like sleeping on the floor with carpet. We were told all the rooms were the same. The hotel did not have an ironing board and you had to iron in the breakfast room on the breakfast tables after breakfast had finished. The location and old castle features of the Hotel were excellent and the rooms were large.

Nice rooms, get one looking over the river, it was wonderful view. Old place, but a well kitted out and pretty little hotel. A fairly strange arrangement with several floors, but nothing that the lift did not solve.

This hotel is wonderful! The staff are super friendly and speak English well. The hotel was once the private residence of the King of Holland, so it is very well decorated. The beds are the most comfortable of any hotel in Europe that I've styled at. The breakfast was excellent and they make delicious cappuccinos to order. They will make them for you at any hour, as the bar is open 24 hours. I had 3 in one day and was not charged. We were in Europe for 2 weeks and this was the best hotel of our trip out of 5 hotels we stayed at.

This hotel was perfectly located near, but not in the heart of the busy tourist part of town. Delicious, complete breakfast offered in the mornings, 24-hour front desk, secured building, and very helpful staff with recommendations and directions. Our triple-suite had a jet tub and an amazing view of the river and west side of Firenze. I would absolutely stay here again and have already recommended it to others.

If possible provide a centrally located computer(s) with internet access for guest, not all vacationers bring their own laptop. Provide alarm clock in the guest room.

The hotel location exceeded our expectations, all sightseeing was within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfasts were excellent. The decor of the hotel is a little tired, however, this was made up for by the attentive and friendly staff.

Service and cleaning up the standards and we were guest and advised properly. The unique thing was not properly was the heating on the rooms, it have to be regulated with "warm air" that at the end results into a cold-flu. But all was compensated for the fantastic view of the Suit and the fantastic royal room style, interesting price benefit relationship. I can say that the entrance is a bit uncomfortable because not much clear indications. The breakfast was normal and rooms nice.

The Hotel was in a beautiful place, with the Arno River right out front. It was very easy to get to the Duomo (the cathedral.) The Staff was very helpful. They helped us with directions, suggested places to go, and helped with getting a taxi to get to the train station. The rooms were not very spacious, but they were "homey". The bathroom was very clean and had a nicely sized shower. The beds were fairly comfortable. They also gave you extra pillows, blankets, and rugs to use if wanted. It was all around a very pleasent trip, and it was made that much more pleasent due to the beautiful hotel.
