The location is beautiful and is perfect - only a 10 minute walk from the train station and a five minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel is situated in an old palazzo which used to belong to King Napolean III, so the decoration is beautiful. The front desk staff is very friendly and will make restaurant recommendations. I stayed in the older building, and although the room is quite beautiful, the bed was saggy and very uncomfortable. Plus, I was attacked by mosquitos all night for both nights that I stayed there - since the ceilings are at least 20 feet high, there is no way to find them all to kill them. This being said, I have always found mosquitos to be an issue in Florence, so bring bug spray! |

the hotel staff were pleasant and gave wonderful info on restaurants and how to get around florence. The blonde young lady helped the most. She was fun and new everything! im sorry i forgot her name, but she needs to be recognized as a great asset to the hotel. Thank you. The bathroom accomidations were okay, but it would be nice if the door could lock up easier and that you guys would have bath mats on the floor for hygiene. Also, not sure when you clean the bathroom, but if there were sanitation wipes the guests can use to wipe the surfaces down before and after use. |

Great location and the rooms were very unique. This building used to be an old palace. Kind of hard to find. The lobby is on the second floor. |

It was very handy for the city centre and the train station - all easily walkable for a three year old The only thing I would reccomend would be to put a pug in the sink in the bathroom. |

It's actually 2 hotels: the old part, the "Pensione", like a hostel; the new part, "Residenza d'Epoca" has had considerable improvements and is much more comfortable. Also, we had lots of mosquitos on our 1st night. I killed 16 (yes, 16) on that evening and the morning after! The cleaning lady said guests had stolen the electrical repelling device... |

The location is very good, just next to the river. Walk 5 mins to Ponte Vecchio. The staffs are helpful. The hotel provides free wi-fi but the signal is not strong enough to use inside the room. Breakfast is simple but better then I expect. |

Excellent location only a stone throw away from the famous Vecchio Bridge and neighbouring several upmarket boutiques. The reception, dinning room and corridors are reminiscence of the building's past glory. It was once occupied by the aristocrats and royals. One of the state rooms can been seen from the dinning room. Blankets and bathroom are old and require replacement. Not really an issue given its location and rate. |
