Score from 27 reviews Excellent
Very central location. Clean room. Reasonable price. Free wifi.
Not soundproof rooms. You can hear people from other rooms and those in the hallway. No elevator.
Excellent hotel near Brignole railway station. Rooms were clean and tidy and breakfast was very good.
Good price, very helpful staff, handy location
Friendly staff and good location.
Comfort of a bed.
Location close to railway station (just 3-5 mins walk) and old city Amentities Free Breakfast High Speed Wifi Courteous Staff (Old dignified gentlemen) Clean toilets
Lack of an Elevator.
Near the centrum
Nice balcony overlooking square
Marble stairs to reception and othe levels - no lift
The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming, and the breakfast buffet was good quality. Rooms are decorated to a higher standard than one might expect for the price. Great central location. Nice feeling to the hotel.
A few international TV channels would have been welcome. The rooms can be a bit dark and gloomy. If you are disturbed by banging doors and the sounds from other guests, you may find yourself awakened rather early in the morning!
We arrived by car in evening into very busy Genova. With one way streets glad there were 2 of us to find the hotel. Having seen the sign didn't know how to access it. My husband sat in car in street, I ran into hotel and the man in receeption immediately came down to car and directed us to the garage further up and around. We had room overlooking street, but double glazing cut out noise. Breakfast fresh and good. Hotel very central within walking distance of everything. Would recommend it for one/two night stay.
Location - was easy to find as soon as we came off the train there was big signs Staff - Bepe was brilliant
Very good value for money and excellent location. The room was very clean and spacious (I think we got upgraded to a larger room than booked, which was very nice!), the staff friendly and the breakfast great for a 3-star hotel. Would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Genoa on a budget.
The only thing I would suggest for improvement is to provide guests with wifi access for the whole duration of their stays, rather than making them walk to the reception every 24 hours for a new voucher. Also, people who struggle with stairs should note that there are no lifts and all rooms are on the second or third floor.
We stayed two nights. Yes, you have to carry bags upstairs (no elevator), the room is on the small side (though somewhat standard for many European hotels) and the street front is a little less than picturesque, but the this hotel was actually pretty nice. Very close to the train station, so the walk with luggage was very short. The neighborhood is bustling with shops and focaccerias, and the historic center was not a far walk. Breakfast was simple, but good.
If you are expecting American style size and amenities, then you might reconsider. If you like a nice, clean place for not a lot of cash, then look no further.
Its proximity to the city center, bus stops, and train station (walking distance)
Walls between rooms are thin. I was lucky during my stay, but I can easy imagine that a normal voice conversation next door could have kept me awake for the entire night.
Staff is very helpful. Facility and bathroom very clean, shower is excellent.
Location is very poor. Should have displayed upfront that there is no elevator.
excellent location, very close to Genoa Brignole train station and to the city centre; spacey rooms; free internet
lack of lift (elevator)
Quiet area, despite being very central and very close to a main train station. Good selection of food and beverages at breakfast time.
Internet connection code changes on a daily basis, though this appears to be a general rule in Italy.
The staff were very helpful and patient. They made very good suggestions so that we could utilise our time well and fit in visiting the Cinque Terre hamlets. The availability of a computer and printer was much appreciated as our ipad had died and we could not access important travel information.
The distance from the train and city centre was a surprise. However, the Hotel made up for it by providing a drop off and pick up service. We did not know about this when we arrived initially and had to get a taxi to the hotel from the train station. The lack of availability of a good range of eateries was an issue for us as we were looking for wheat free alternatives which was not possible especially as we arrived late on a Sunday night.
Parking Car was possible.
No Elevator, only stairs.
Access to the train station, buses and metro. Friendly and helpful staff.
Logging onto the hotel Wi-Fi was a problem as the iPad and phones did not accept the server id.
- Location was OK, near to central station and sightseeing bus stop. - A/C was working very nice, fully programmable. - Breakfast was OK, coffee/tea upon request.
- Really small room. - Black hair (not mine!) everywhere! Poor cleaning. - Guests were very loud, thin walls. - Maids were loud doing their work, they start at almost like 0800am. - Lots of stairs. - Reception staff could be more attentive.
This hotel was delightful from. The facilities to the staff to the location. It had everything I needed . My room was small but it was all I needed. It had a safe, air conditioner, double glazed windows plus a roll down shutter so it was quiet at night. My little bathroom was immaculate and even had a hair drier. A big range for breakfast and only a five minute walk to both the train station and the Main shopping street. Both gentlemen running it were polite, friendly, helpful and spoke English. The most excellent value for money I've had in Italy. I thoroughly recommend it. I am 60 year old female travelling on my own. I felt safe and happy there.
nice stuff, nice rooms, good loacation,
Clean, nice furniture, very good position in the center of the city, excellent !
Just a simple middle class hotels. Nothing impressive but nothing bad too.
