This property, was very friendly, good service, excellent breakfast.
Quiet location out of the busyness of Stresa. Best for travelors with a car. Parking on site. Small friendly family run hotel. Beautiful views from our room, the garden areas and the Breakfast Room. Lovely fresh breakfast with delicious figs from the hotel garden in late September. Quiet sitting areas outside in garden overlooking the lake. The evening meal at the hotel was very nice and most appreciated on the day of our arrival.
Great location , hard to motivate to leave hotel to tour countryside, very relaxing.
No tea or coffee facilities in room
The hotel is perfectly located in the hills of Stressa with wonderful views of the Lago Maggiore. Very clean and very calm atmosphere and a good breakfast too. We only stay one day but if we had more days I would like to stay at least for the whole week.
Amazing view, very close to Stresa.
Rooms are not at all soundproof, you can hear absolutely everything that happens nextdoor.
We loved our 3 nights at Hotel Brisino, it was clean, comfortable and the staff lovely. The view is outstanding with plenty of places to sit outside and take it all in. The food is sensational. Would definately stay again.
Location and views tremendous' family running it were very hard working and great hosts
Noisy upstairs rooms and thin towels!
Had a wonderful time! Wonderful views, great staff! Great breakfast on the terrace overlooking lake Lago Maggiore. Were going to stay one night and ended up staying four!! Will definately come back!!
The view to the lake from the hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was quite good. There were free parking places next to the hotel and when those were full there was another parking lot at the church next to the hotel. The room was clean and had a balcony from which there was a view to the lake.
We didn't find the location very convenient but it is okay if you travel by car. The hotel is about 4 km from Stresa and it was ok to walk there as it was easy going downhill but it wasn't that pleasant to walk back uphill in the dark in the evening on the narrow roads. There are no restaurants nearby (but if you order beforehand you can have dinner at the hotel). We did not get the warm welcome other guests who have rated the hotel apparently got, the staff wasn't quite rude but not especially helpful or friendly either. WIFI only worked in one cell phone or laptop at a time.
The view The breakfast The bar The garden
The view from the garden is amazing . The rooms have balconies and the breakfast is exceptional
It is a way out of town
Great location Parking available Feriendly staff Nice garden
WI-FI out of service( reportedly temporary ) Bathrooms are a bit obsolete ( no curtains on the shower, shower handle unable to fix water stream direction )
Beautiful view. Very nice accomodation.
The view and the silence. People were special
Wonderful hosts, beautiful view, simple but delicious food, excellent value. I would book this place again!
Wi-fi was so-so. It's an uphill climb from the train station (views make up for it). If you aren't driving, take a cab, or be prepared for an excellent cardio workout:)
Lovely hotel with breathtaking lakeside views owned and run by a charming couple. Quiet village location (church bells notwithstanding). Ideal base for visiting the western lakes. Tasty, well prepared regional dishes and excellent selection for breakfast. Would make a romantic honeymoon location. Guests come back year after year which says a lot. Highly recommended.
Small shower cubicle.
We enjoyed the location with a grand view. The walk into Stresa leads through leafy greens and by old villas. The hotel is run like in the "good old days": Lots of attention from the staff. During mealtime they waited on you hand and foot and went out of their way to be helpful. Highly recommended for a restful sleep, even the church is quiet at night!
This was my last night in Italy, and it was so lovely stayed 2. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. I eat there in the evening, and the food was delicious. I was given a 'room with a view' of Lake Maggorie. The hotel is quite high up the mountain, so the view was sensational... Need a car, but don't let that stop you from going if you havn't one. Was told there was a bus service, outside the door. The evenings were too cold to sit outside, but go when the weather is hot and to sit outside, in the evening, and watching the sun go down, must be 'heaven'. I thought it was excellent value.
Very nice Lake-view from the balcony of our room. Very good restaurant. Comfortable parking
The view from our balcony over Lake Maggiore was stunning. Onsite parking is good. Staff were friendly.
No proper shower in the bathroom.
Great views from the balcony. Breakfast lady was always really polite and very helpful/accommodating. Good breakfast spread with lots if variety. Thoroughly enjoyed the walk from the hotel to Stresa and back. Despite what I've written in the red box I would definitely still go back to this hotel.
Hotel owners kids running around the place both inside and outside like in a school yard. Because of the layout the kids outside space was right beside the rooms and it would echo. Church right beside the hotel with bells ringing every 30min starting at 7am but adds to the charm of the village in my opinion but others could find as a nuisance especially adding this to the mix of the kids running around. You can see it's a family run hotel which is charming but I would still expect more professional attire from the hotel managers. Needs stronger wifi throughout but maybe that's not a bad thing it's weak...you are on holiday!!
You need a car or bike to reach the hotel from Stresa, but then you really need a car for the area in any case. The location is stunning, about 2/3 miles outside Stresa, up on the hill so that the views over the lake were breathtaking from our balcony and hotel terrace. The hotel offers everything you could wish for in a family-run hotel. Good-size rooms and breakfast room. Plentiful breakfast. Super-efficient and helpful. Delightful from start to finish.
We prefer a shower to a bathtub, and, although there was a shower-head, there was no shower screen or curtain - which made it awkward. But a small point, and other rooms may be different.
Lovely view over Lake Maggiore.
Smiles were extra.
