Elaborate, extravagant style of hotel, lovely staff in reception, restaurant and looking after rooms. Very quiet but right in the best part of Genoa with everything within walking distance. A real treat and perfect for a base on Riviera. From this gorgeous hotel in Genoa we did a day trip to Turin and also explored the coast .line.
Huge rooms, very comfortable, great breakfast.
Not enough plugs in the rooms for my devices.
very good hotel in an excellent location and with character.
Easy to get around and see sights
Daily rate was too high
Position & comfort. We loved the old-world charm particularly.
the hotel is gem of architecture of the Liberty period in Italy.Unique eliptical stairs and the breakfast room is splendid. It is close to many of the sights like palazzo Ducale,Palazzo Rosso a,Palazzo Bianco and Palazzo Spinola.Near Galleria Mazzini and Piazza corvetto with Caffe Maggini. It is areal hotel de charme!
beautiful room, great breakfast and very friendly staff.
Parking very expensive
Nice stairs inside, pretty big rooms
Poor breakfast, small and uncomfortable lobby, non Italian "hospitality"
Great location, we were there for one night on our way from Torino to Marsielles. Fast check in, upgraded to a huge room, would stay again for sure. Genoa waterfront still needs more work, aquarium was fantastic. Great dinner at Soho Fish and Wok.
location, interiors, terrace, room
The staff was friendly and helpful, wishes were taken into account immidiately. The breakfast is very good for an Italian hotel.
the breakfast the staircase
small room small bed noise from neighbouring bathroom slow lift no bath as requested (I am disabled and struggle with a shower) shower head part blocked
Beautiful oval staircase. The rooms were clean, the King suite on the top floor was Beautiful with it's own little balcony from which you can see the fountain in Piazza De Ferrari. The food and service in the restaurant were Fabulous !! The breakfast buffet Great, a variety of foods for all tastes.
Not that I disliked it , the small elevator, the reception area was small ,but was fine. the valet parking area is not at the hotel and is about a 10 minute wait to get your car.
I felt like I was staying in a luxury hotel, without the luxurious price tag. Large stately room, very nice bathroom, excellent location.
Beautiful staircase Excellent breakfast
Poor information re Genoa. Would have expected to find file in bedroom with brochures and details of places to visit, times of opening etc We had light bright room, friends had dark dim room which was disappointing
Room size good, dinner waitress very pleasant, food good - both dinner and breakfast.
There was no cold water from the bathroom sink tap. The wi fi was very difficult and several days later I cannot get rid of the website, which forces you to give your details in order to hook up. The heavy rock music in the restaurant at 7am was dreadful.
Nothing bad at all to say about this hotel. Everything was just perfect
I love it it is a nice cozy hotel in downtown
The sound of running of water every now and then from the walls
Location Interier Services except one of them (see in red) Food, especially, meat and wine Good treatment in general
You are forced to pay for Ironing service even if you fine with doing it by yourself. I was told that there is a law in Italy prohibiting to give irons to the guests. After my attempt to find out the name of the law and short tight talk I was provided with the service for free. The hotel might have been cheaper, but still not so expensive (since Genoa is cheap place) And that's it about minuses. Generally the hotel is good.
Our room was beautiful and spacious. Top quality bathroom.
Really a Palace! You are treated as a King! Incredible Experience! Excellent service!
The internal architecture and the feel, and the service
Why be critical?
Everything. Great food and service.
Quiet and comfortable room; brilliant location, wonderful staircase
