A touch of class at a budget price Full of English bus trippers - restaurant offerings were catering for the bus trippers and was fairly basic food, but good quantitites. |

Room was comfortable with beautiful views across the lake. We did not have very much time to appreciate it. |

Perfect value for money. If you want to spend half less than in belaggio, choose this one. The ferry to bellagio is every half an hour (takes 10 minutes), ferry operates till 11pm. Perfect. Nice buffet - breakfest menu @ hotel. Swimming pool - cool (but not in the hotel (see below). Room was quite alhough next to road. If you are not italian, you will find it quite odd that there are hardly few pavements in this city, so with 2 kids it was dangerous. Swimming pool is 100m from the hotel.. Other side of the road. |

Attractive, large room with a beautiful view of Lake Como. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel well located near the ferry. Very noisy tour groups made the included breakfast unpleasant. The dinner buffet looked awful, so we enjoyed a local restaurant both nights we were there. |

The view is beautiful. This hotel is located at the edge of the lake and is only separated by the lakeside road. Good value for the money. The hotel is near the ferry that travels accross the lake to Bellagio, but about a third of a mile walk to the water taxis that visits several of the cities. The road noise could bother some people. |

Wonderful view. Offer of 15 euros to upgrade to all-inclusive was good. Food was mostly good. The downstairs bar lacked atmosphere. |

Not being in the Hotel. A lovely hotel but just not for anyone under 65. It was like being in a luxury care home. Lovely hotel, but the food was mass produced and on a tight budget as they had offered a 15 euro all inclusive offer to coach loads of OAPs!! |

The view and the room - the parking , the pool , the quaint village bar up the hill were excellent the meals the meals the meals - We came to Italy to have a food experience - it was like a Butlin's camp or an army mess - I would rather pay a little bit more and have better food in a quieter dinning room - the beer was tastless, the juice and eggs were powdered and it showed |

Staying at this hotel was the best decision we made. The hotel surrounds were beautiful and the room was perfect. We had a lovely view of the lake from our room. The service was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. The food served in the restaurant was plentiful and top value for money. Thank you, Britannia Excelsior, for making our stay memorable and enjoyable. There is nothing wrong with this hotel. |

The rooms were nice, clean. Staff were helpful. The views from the hotel were stunning with easy access to the ferry port. The pool, a short walk away, was very pleasant. Pool staff friendly. The food was really bad and let the hotel down. I felt like I was no longer in Italy but in a UK retirement home. Very nice for saga holidaymakers but the quality of food is unfair to all, especially those saving hard to go on an inclusive holiday. The wine was terrible with the inability to purchase brand name wines frustrating. |

The hotel has a good location on the lake front with fantastic views of Bellagio and is right next to the ferry port, plus point was the balcony. The pool has been removed and replaced with a terrace area, although you can still use the Lido across the road, you have to wear a swimming cap at a cost of three euros and it isn't all that clean! Our room was fairly poor, plaster hanging from the ceiling mould every where, broken tiles and is obviously one awaiting renovation. The food left a lot to be desired, breakfast was good, plenty of food hot and cold however it is somewhat of a free for all and is definately mass catering. Evening meal was ok i guess nothing to write home about. Would recommend this hotel to anyone over the age of 65, definately not under as did have distinct feel of a retirement home! |

The hotel location is good and the rooms are comfortable. Chaotic breakfast with long lines in front of the coffee machines. No warm breakfast after 09:00. The hotel is very big and mainly caters for bus tours. Most guest have an "all inclusive" package, which negatively impacts food quality, service etc. |

Location is good, along Como Lake in front of Bellagio Single rooms are far too small (circa 7 sq.m. bedroom + 4 sq.m. bathroom !). Location along main road is noisy. |

Beautiful rooms. Great view and location. Nice, historic touch to the hotel. The cleaning of the rooms. We didn't get our beds properly made every day, the cleaning lady only put the duvet on the bed. That was a bit of a dissapointment for a three star hotel. |
