-perfectly placed hotel(10 m from the lake) -great parking possibility -lovely staff -Complimentary upgrade from Standard to De-Luxe room -beautiful hotel
It needs modernisation .Get rid of that awful furniture lying around
the warm welcome , beautiful view from room , very friendly hotel
having to leave
Hotel ideally situated. Access to the boats and buses right by the hotel. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Bar staff (especially on floating pontoon) always smiling, gave great service. Excellent room had fantastic view of the lake. Buffet breakfast offered variety of different choices. Thoroughly enjoyed the continental/cooked options. Ate at one of the hotel's additional restaurants (for the evening meal-excellent atmosphere, food + wine! Many different areas in hotel to sit, relax and appreciate the wonderful views. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Thank you.
Wonderful view over Bellagio, nice room.
Mass package tourism.
Nice view and good location. 5 minutes by walk from ferry pier.
Very expensive with old traditional furniture and too small room.
The view from the balcony and the location.
The furnishings are a little tired.
Perfect affordable destination to visit and stayover in Bellagio. Really speedy regulars ferry to and from. The Pools are best facility in this hotel 2 large with sun decks and perfect views of the lake. Staff also helpful and friendly.
Chaotic breakfast and queues it check in and check out
Paid for rooms with seawiew and balcony. Got a backroom without seawiev and balcony and a room in a annex. The balcony was the terrass for everybody! No helpful staff. Poor breakfast.
It was in great location on the opposite side of the Bellaggio and ferry was minute away.Hotel is very nice and we got room on the third floor with lake view so it was absolutely fabulous .Room was clean and decent size with small balcony.Staff was friendly.there is no parking in front of the hotel, just drop of area but there is parking nearby and cost 8 euros per day
Hotel claimed that they have some parking in site but they have not!

Lobby Hallways Front desk Service
Great lake view from our 3rd floor room which was clean and quiet; nice garden with pool on lakeside (we used the one 100 yards from the front door which was mostly empty while the one right opposite the hotel entrance was always packed)
95% of visitors are British bus tourists in their early 60s who booked "all inclusive" holidays in one of the 600 (!) rooms. Staff are very friendly and trying to be helpful but unable to cope with the masses, esp. during b'fast. Lobby crowded most times, elevators "decorated" with half-torn tour suggestion sheets, overall impression in public areas could be much improved.
Advertised parking & it was not available! Too many buses to even pull up & unload. We were in very expensive new cars and had to leave them out on the street.
Rooms, location great for the price. Pool area was beautiful and it was easy to travel by boat to Bellagio.
breakfast was bad. Check-out took 30 min
Hotel staff told us the advertisment your web site provides is wrong: not all rooms come with a balcony, parking is free (not 3 Euros) but not always available, etc. Reception staff was very unfriendly and very unresponsive, rude at some time.
We loved the room with a beautiful view to the lake. The floating swimming pool is also really nice.
I liked everything . it wasn't the first stay in Brittania Excelsior . while my first stay was catastrophic , this time it was perfect . very beautiful and decorated room with great views of the lake . clean . comfortable and nice sleep (though the matts weren't that new) . I like the location , right facing Bellagio , and very close to the ferry stop and the bus stop to other places in lake como and to Lugano. excellent wifi . all what you need is there . I would definitely come back .
I paid the balance one day before the check out as we were leaving early to Lugano . the lady receptionist told me that I can get the receipt on the same date of leave . unfortunately the system wasn't running as we left early , they promised to send the receipt by email . I called many times and sent a reminder by email but I didn't receive the receipt .
Nice location, clean hotel and rooms.
Corridors are too narrow and dim. Sometimes, it is hard to be together with all inclusive British guests
all the rest
The location. The size of the room. The swimming pool and the wet areas. The staff at the reception (very helpful)
The hotel is mainly oriented towards large organised groups of tourists. The lobby (and the common areas around it) was packed with people either trying to access the wifi or simply having a beer. We booked a room with a lake view. Unfortunately it was not in the facade of the hotel but on the side. It did offer a view of the lake but it was limited and obstructed. Quite different to what we expected and payed for (we were quite disappointed). So make sure you get a front room! The parking was always full. However, we were aloud to leave our car in front of the hotel as long as we did not obstruct the coaches that were bringing groups of tourists.
Great room - good staff - lots of holiday visitors from the UK - Shearings seem to dominate the hotel = the outside restaurants, Lido and the Cove were good - that's with an all inclusive package :) The food at the Lido was top notch
Parking is a problem - 1 Euro an hour between 0900-1900 - I managed to park in the hotel car park after 2 days for free -
The location, close to lake. breakfast good value for money. Nice view of mountains even we had a back room.
WE asked to get fridge fixed, it did not happen.during our 2 day stay. intenet was only working near reception ( this was not made clear before We paid for buffet dinner on the second night, when we checked out I was asked to show the receipt ( a tiny piece of paper which of course i did not keep. There was an all inclusive offer ( food and drinks, but nobody could explain it to us. Staff appeared to be overworked and not very interested.
Our room had two windows and balcony. Was very clean and full of light. Perfect size bathroom comparing to those small bathrooms we were used to get during our stay in Italy. Although the pool was 100m from the hotel, it was nice and the 80 y.o. bartender served pretty nice Aperol Spritzs :)
The hotel is very tired and cries for renovation. It was crowded and chaotic. Although reception personnel tried to do their best, they couldn't manage checkins and checkouts simultaneously. Also we couldn't get any wifi in the lobby which was said to be the wifi point. But the worst experience of all was the breakfast - terrible interpretation of british breakfast (sausage, beans, scrambled eggs, etc.), and lack of fresh fruits.
Free Shuttle bus 3/4 of laundry bag for 10€ Live music daily Free hot drinks during day Parking slots High tech door lock
