The view from our very comfortable and spacious room was spectacular. The staff were friendly and jovial, helping us with our very poor Italian. Great pool in the cellar too.
Everything was to our complete satisfaction. Sorry we didn't have swimming gear because they have a gorgeous pool and spa down in the vaults under the palace. You can see the original stone of a Roman pool. Live like an emperor.
hotel is run down with not enough staff
location, the staff they had was friendly
The breakfast was very limite. Not international at all. There was a very small choice. Internet was terrible. I stayed for 3 days and everyday the reception was replying the same when I asked why the internet is thst slow : "is it slow? We will take care of this problem"
Everything except breakfast and internet
The water of the swimming pool was far too hot on day 2 and 3 (over 39 degres) despite reporting the problem on day 2
The staff was very friendly and we like returning to this hotel
Room 237 was beautiful and the view unforgetable!
Much as we love this great hotel, it is perhaps a little dated in some of its facilities, and the management might consider a programme of renovation. But this is a minor criticism of an otherwise excellent hotel.
The excellent reception lady,Eva. Helpful and courteous. The ability to walk right out of the hotel into the centre of Perugia.A few minutes away from shops, restaurants and cafes and attractions such as the Cambio and the cathedral as well as the national gallery.
I have no adverse criticism of the hotel.
The Brufani Palace is perfectly placed for easy access, looks out over dramatic views (from the bar, etc.) and is a level walk to the very centre of Perugia.
The location of the hotel could not be better and the view from our room was spectacular! All members of staff were incredibly helpful which made our stay in Perugia even more pleasurable! We cannot recommend Brufani Palace highly enough!
The old world charm of the hotel, it is beautiful
- not much to improve, really. - it would be helpful if staff could turn on the steam bath and sauna in the afternoon so that it is running when you want to use it after coming back to the hotel.
- fabulous hotel in a great location with great views. - wonderful staff. - great pool downstairs with a roman bath flair. - beautiful restaurant with a fireplace and very friendly waiters. they relit the fire for me when I came for dinner. - come here if you want to spend a romantic weekend away. - loved the city and sites and all so close to hotel.
Wonderful Location, Breakfast can be improved
the spa was open only till 22h and you have to start the sauna and the hamam yourself and it didn't get warm enough rapidly. impossible to order a "coupe de champagne" without taking the whole bottle which is most unlikely in a palace.
excellent staff specially at the restaurant where the level of professionalism of the maitre d'hotel was 5*+. perfect location to visit the town and practically the whole region like Assisi or Montefalco. real five star room and good spa.
The rooms were quite hot even if you turned off the heating.
Position and view from the hotel, wellness center and breakfast.
Bath room was not as clean as some
The completely plush, luxurious hotel will treat you like a millionaire without having to be one. The room is huge with all the amenities, slippers, linen throw for your feet on the floor, marble bathroom and bidet. The location was in the middle of the chocolate festival but with the window closed not a peep of noise got through. The bed is comfortable, the people delightful. Bring your bathing suit! The -3rd floor underground pool is a site to experience. We soaked in the pool, sweated in the sauna and slurped up the chocolate at the festival. Will come back here anytime and stay again! Recommend "La Taverna" for a perfect dinner.
Rooms were quiet and very comfortable with great linens, towels and bathrobes. Loved the views and location. Would highly recommend as a base for the local area.
Bathroom shower is marble-ous...but sub-par...showering is an adventure. The decor is from the Victorian age if you like that heavy look...in fact, the Queen Mum stayed there. The breakfast buffet (eggs) was sub-par (eggs were horrible)...but lots of various types of ham and pastries...you'll be eating a lot of ham in Umbria and Perugia.
Clean. Good service. Location. Big room (the one we had as middle of the selection and town view). Views (from the patio down the hall). Best in the area (relatively speaking).
The bed was on the firm side, but still one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in an Italian hotel. One of the hydrotherapy jets in the pool was not functional. The cost of breakfast was high,€19.20, So we skipped it and enjoyed a breakfast of chocolate out on the street at the Eurochocolate fest.
From our first steps through the door we were greeted and pampered by the friendly and accommodating staff. We were given a free upgrade to a nicer room without even asking for one! The bellhop showed us to our room and gave a short tour on the way. Our room was an average size but nicely appointed with upholstered walls, marble bathroom, king sized bed and a view to kill for! We looked over the entire valley surrounding Perugia and made sure to come back to the room for a spectacular view of the sunset. We made good use of the spa under the hotel and enjoyed the sauna and steam rooms very much. Our checkout was only slightly delayed when an error was discovered by the woman at the front desk-she caught the mistake and quickly made sure I was refunded the difference. We look forward to another stay next year!
The price of the food was ridiculous. No doorman, no concierge and an inefficient front desk that was rarely friendly or helpful....not a five star property.
The location was good. The pool was quite lovely, not for swimming but for relaxing. Our room was very nice with wonderful views .
I liked it all
location is perfect! Our room had an incredible view over the valley and was a delight to stay in.
wifi is charged and one must get all the instructions from the front desk.
The hotel is gorgeous, perfect location, beautiful view, kind and friendly professional staff, the subterranean pool is AMAZING, room service breakfast was delicious and served elegantly, our young daughters were treated like princesses, parking was taken care of for us, it was a fabulous relaxing weekend get away.
