The location next to Santa Maria Maggiore and metro station is excellent if you want to explore both the northern (Vatican/Piazza Navona/Fontana di Trevi) and southern (Colosseum/Forum Romanum) parts of the city center. |

Our room was actually an apartment with a kitchenette. This was marvelous for our first few days in Italy. We lived like Italians - getting our meals at the market down the street and preparing it ourselves. It was great. It is a great location next to an historic church yet in a neighborhood. Very close to the train station and a Metro Stop. It was also a nice walk from the Colosseum. When checking in the staff was extremely helpful. |

We stayed at the Buonarroti the week before and left some of our luggage at the hotel FOC. We were delighted on our return to find the luggage already waiting for us in our room. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We found the location close to the main station suited us well. We are likely to use this hotel again. |

Great hotel, great staff who were very helpful. As it is a listed building the sign for the hotel is very small. It helps to walk up to the door and look at the tiny list of inhabitants and then you'll see the hotel name there. For those who are disabled, there is a lift but you have to walk up 6 or 7 curvy steps, so it may not be convienient for you. |

Free Internet usage. Hotel staff knowledgeable about direction to major point of interests with public transit. Free breakfast too cheap and bread too hard to swallow. |

The staff were extremely friendly and those that spoke English were helpful to us. The room covered all the basics, which was sufficient for our needs. The breakfast was disapointing because it was very small, which meant we had to spend a little more on food during our stay. |

You feel like being at home during stay. It occupies only one floor, so when you go to have a breakfast it looks like you go to your own kitchen. It's was rather hard to find it, the entrance is rather strange. |

I really appreciated the helpfulness and courteousness of the hotel manager. I had a few requests and questions, and he patiently took the time to help. Any time that I saw him, he had a smile on his face. He was a true professional. It would have been nice if wifi had been available so I could use my own computer in my hotel room. |

Centric location near Termini, clean room. Small room for a quad, shower space was ridiculously small. Breakfast is a joke. Shower drain not working, awful. |

good location, comfortable rooms, and great customer service. Nicely served breakfast and free computer in lobby with internet. The front desk help was top notch. While not directly on the busy routes it was easy to get around from here. |

We stayed 2 nights at Buonarroti Home and were very pleased with this hotel. The location was excellent with the sights of Rome accessible by walking or the Rome Metro. The hotel isn't four start, but the rooms (yes they are small) we a great value and the staff helpful and friendly. My wife, daugher, and son-in-law stayed along with my grandchild. The hotel provided a crib for free, even though the hotel information said there should be an extra charge. The neighborhood had been described as 'sketchy' by some reviewers, but we never felt unsafe. I would recommend this hotel for those wanting to be conveniently located and not looking for 'luxury'. Also, this would not be a great hotel for elderly or handicapped. The hotel up two flights of steps and the elevator is small and 'rustic'. The AC automatically turns off. If it's hot, request that the management program in longer operating times or you can get pretty warm in the summer. |
