Set on the bank of the River Parma in the university district, the Hotel Toscanini has elegant rooms with flat-screen TVs and city views. Parma's Cathedral is a 5-minute walk away.
Score from 779 reviews Very good
Centrally located in Parma, NH Parma is next to its train station. Rooms here are modern and the property offers a fitness centre and free WiFi throughout.
Score from 495 reviews Wonderful
Good location for town centre with parking. 10 minutes walk. Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice outdoor heated swimming pool.
Nothing. Everything was ideal for a short, 1 night stopover.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Hard to find pool in Parma - very nice to have on a hot stopover day. Reasonably good breakfast. Not far walk from town.
Location good but if returning home by foot with young family, best to take taxi to avoid ladies of the night en route.
comfortable bed, big enough,room.
normally restaurant is close at 2:30 i was told that restaurant was closed at 13:50. I have 3 years old kid there and was no other place to eat in the hotel or near places. we had to go to the center to eat.
The location of the hotel is in an industrial area out of the city and about 20 minutes walk to the centre. This is an advantage if you don't want to drive into the city but there is nothing of interest nearby and good restaurants are nearer the city. The queen sized bed was comfortable and there was a pillow menu available. The bathroom was clean and tidy andthere was a good shower but little room to put your toiletries. Complimentary toiletries were provided and there was a hairdryer. Breakfast was buffet style and there was a good choice ranging from cereal, fruit, meats and cheese, pastries and a choice of breads etc. The coffee and drinks choice was good and staff were attentive to ensuring the serving dishes were replenished and tables cleared. Reception staff were very helpful. This is a great hotel for a one or two night stay with little luggage but the room was not ideal for our needs at the end of a long holiday with a number of cases.
Our standard double room with balcony was very small and there was little room to walk around the end of the bed. The balcony had a high wall that I could only just peer over and one end of this wall had metal trelliswork that I could peer through. There was one chair and a small table with an ash tray on the balcony which is clearly more suited to use as a smoking area than a seating area. We had 3 cases and there was nowhere to store the clothes from our suitcases nor was there room to 'live out of suitcases' without leaving two on the only walking area at the side of the bed. The swimming pool was a pleasant area with ample seating and sunbeds around it providing a quiet and sunny haven but the photo of the pool on the website belies the size of it and makes it look much bigger than it is. I could swim across it in two strokes! The bar did not appear to be staffed other than in the evening but the barman was helpful and efficient and there was a good range of drinks at reasonable prices.
Modern room en good breakfast
Shower temperature was not good to set.
We stayed one night while traveling south. The hotel was very clean, felt safe once inside and our night stay was comfortable. The balcony was more like a non finished room with a high wall, which blocked the view of the road and the railway yard beyond. Not the romantic city stop over we had hoped for.
The pool was small and deep. Reached via the fire escape from the 1st floor. A drink at the pool side bar entailed a trip up to the first floor and then down through the hotel. The location felt unsafe, run down and dirty. We gave up trying to walk to the town centre in the early evening. We encounter a prostitute 100 m from the hotel entrance who approached even though we had children with us. The hotel restaurant is very expensive for the food you get. My son had a frozen burger and everything lack effort and presentation.
Good continental breakfast. Pool area nice & clean. Oversize bed, good linen and pillows. Full minibar. Fast check in and out.
Elevators seemed to need maintenance.
I wouldn't normally stay at a Best Western, but this one was ok. It had all the services one would expect of a medium grade chain hotel. It's a transit hotel with a nice pool and good breakfast, and a stopover to buy cheese and ham!
It's quite far from central Parma, but tey have bikes for use and about 20 minutes ride. Parma is tiny anyway.
Pool Modern interior of hotel
The pool, the lovely breakfast buffet, lovely comfortable beds and the very helpful staff
Location was good for us and the staff made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Restaurant front man (Marko) really excellent at his job with plenty of good natured humour to make you smile.
The cooked breakfast options were limited and once it was gone it was gone! We were however in Italy and a more continental breakfast was the norm and plentiful. The air conditioning was just about okay.
Staff, location, cleanliness.
Breakfast ( that could be better ) and WiFi ( that could be easier to be used ) .
The staff were friendly and helpful. The balcony was a super addition.
The restaurant was closed for lunch which was unfortunate as I was travelling on my own with 3 young children and needed to go out to feed the children.
very comfortable with a nice pool. We just stopped for the night on our way south to Tuscany. Very convenient just off the major highway. Breakfast was excellent.
Great and helpful staff. Swimming pool fantastic in hot weather.
Noticed some cutbacks since last stay a year ago.
Quiet area with a pool.
Not in a built up area for other restaurants etc.
The staff were amazingly accommodating and gracious. The rooms were well-equipped. I appreciated that I didn't have to leave the hotel to eat the legendary Parma prosciutto and parmesan cheese.
The location looked kind of sketchy.
The sheets were amazing. Everything was great, especially the pool.
The toilet was too high.
Despite the fact that the hotel is located away from the center of the city, it offers perks the hotels with the central location can't boast off, such as free parking, swimming pool and complimentary breakfast. It's still conveniently situated that you can safely walk to major attractions in the City. The staff is courteous. Overall, it's excellent
The breakfast was exceptional! The rooms were comfortable.
very friendly and competent employees.
Lovely pool and good room Free bike hire Good breakfast
A bit of a walk into town but taxis 7 euro
The location 20 minutes walk from the city ,quicker on bikes from the hotel
