We were very pleased with everything about Albergo Ca'Alvise. The decor and cleanliness of the room was great. The staff were wonderful and the location was perfect. We chose the hotel over the internet and were very happy to say that once we arrived, it more than met our expectations. |

It was a great location. Very easy to get around the city of Venice. It was quiet. The room was very large and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The food was ok. |

The location is perfekt, calm and close to San Marco. Comfortable and clean. Good standard. The staff were a little cold. The breakfast was poor, like most italian hotels. |

Good location, roomy. But the bathroom was very musty smelly. Breakfast was very poor and the area was very small. No lift, many stairs. It was hard to find for the first time. The sign has " no Albergo". The cost of Internet was expensive. The staffs of reception were very rude, hot temper and agressive except one young woman. They did't change bed sheets everyday before I asked. This hotel made very bad memory of Venice for me. I don't want to go back again for the entire of my life. It was the second time of visit for me, though. This hotel made my credit card copies both side, though I gave them my credit card information when I booked. And they blocked the cost for three nights as soon as I booked from my credit card. I've never seen these kinds of hotel policy before in the world. Even though in Italy, I've travelled round trip of Europe for the past three month, I stayed over 30 hotels. I don,t know, what are they afraid of? Do they think all the guests of hotel don't pay the bills, take something and break something and run away? I wondered and asked them, the staffs were very agressive and rude. The maneger promised giving me the copies back when I check-out, but when I asked it, they were very rude. Even though the manager of hotel yelled and threathened me |

the central position of the hotel made it easy to get about Venice. It was also close to some very good resturaunts. The staff in the hotel were also very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was not as good as some other hotels of the same standard. |

The location is excellent, halfway between San Marco and the Rialto. We arrived using the vaparetto (not the expensive water taxis), exited at the San Angelo stop, and threaded our way a few blocks to Ca' Alvise. Rooms were quite comfortable, and the breakfasts were good. |

Nice hotel. Very friendly and helpful stuff. We enjoied our stay. Nice design of the rooms. You feel the atmosphere of the old times not only when you are walking along the city but also in your room :) but at the same time there is modern tv and bathroom. to improve breakfast buffet assortiment. there were no fresh juices and fruits,no deserts. |

Location is very good; jaccuzzi in the barthroom is an excellent idea - very useful to relax after a long day in the town; tea facilities provided (a rarity in Italian hotels in my experience); staff is English-speaking, polite and helpful. Ovearll, the stay was a positive experience There was an electric kettle in the room but it had European plug that did not fit into Italian socket - a problem that took more then half an hour to be solved, a bit surprising for a 4 stars hotel.....Also the blanket does not look like a one form a decent hotel, rather like a one borrowed from some student hostel... |

The hotel is in a very central location, just a few hundred metres to St Mark's Square or the Rialto Bridge. The room was clean, spacious by Venice standards, and comfortable. The staff often sullen and unhelpful. (For example, when I asked for an iron I was informed it was too dangerous to allow guests to operate one in their rooms!) No free wi-fi -- the hotel has wi-fi in the lobby, but charges a prohibitive amount to use it. Check-out time was 11h00 and strictly enforced. |

We stayed in the Gold Room, the bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi was a must have after a long day walking around Venice. The a/c was a blessing with the vicious heat of August. The location couldn't have been better. It was a 5-10 minute walk to the main city attractions, yet off the beaten path when it comes to crowds and noise. Great place to stay. Going back in October! The breakfast was okay. Get there early or just skip it and go to the market. |

Nice room, spacious enough for two adults and two children A minor comment, but the breakfast room is too small for the number of guests during holiday season |

Hotel very central to everything but in a nice quiet street. The room was lovely and the Jacuzzi fabulous after walking the streets of Venice. Staff were more than helpful and made us very welcome. Breakfast was plentiful and very nice. My family and I will definitely return to Albergo Ca Alvise Not really, it would have been nice to have a balcony to sit out on or maybe a nice garden to relax in but I don't think any of the hotels in Venice have these things |

Not too much, maybe the location, it is in a quieter area of Venice. Not found on any internet map. Hotel should explain that you must take a private taxi to the hotel not to have to walk 1km with luggage in the heat. Airconditioner did not function, left windows open just to get eaten alive by mosquitos. Breakfast was terrible, too many people cramped into the breakfast area. The breakfast ladies were the friendliest of all. Front desk staff were sometimes very rude and in no way concerned about it. How were four stars awarded to this hotel?? |
