It's so uniqe these days that you're actually feeling like you're somone's GUEST rather than simply being a guest. We've enjoyed being taken around the property and given all the 'insider' info we've needed for Venice. The room was truly one-of-a-kind, that instantly gave us that 'local' feeling. Clean, tidy, friendly, smoke free, and centrally located. What else would you need?

I know everyone will be looking for this part, regardless of the positive comments... If you want super-trendy luxurious designs and mile long breakfast buffet's look for the 200+ Euro hotels, but if your looking for a nice clean room with tidy beds, your own bathroom and decent breakfast on a budget, go ahead and book them!

The hotel is in a quite side street 50 meters from the Grand Canal and a mooring place for private boats. It is 5 minutes walk from S. Silvestro boat station. We could easily find the hotel because we followed the very detailed road description that we received from the hotel with the confirmation of our booking. Otherwise it could have been rather difficult as the hotel is located in a small side street. The reception is not 24/7, but the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. They even found a suitable socket adapter for us (we forgot that they have a different type of sockets in Italy, not like in the rest of Europe and did not pack our adapter). The room was quite and clean. The furniture was old wooden furniture, rather antique. The bathroom stood out very favourable as it was newly refurbished and very clean. The breakfast was good by Italian standards, included some sausage and cheese and was sufficient to start the day. We think this was a good budget choice in the vicinity of the church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari and Scuola Grande di San Rocco, which we wanted to visit. The hotel location is also very convenient for sights, which can easily be reached either by boat or on foot.

Our room was quite dark due to small grated windows and its location on the ground floor, the advantage being that we did not have to carry our luggage up the stairs (it's an old Venetian building with no elevator). We saw another room though that was on the first floor next to the breakfast area, and it was much brighter, with large windows and no pillars which we had in our room. But the stairs were quite steep, especially if you have luggage. The tv was old, not flat-screen, but we did not need it anyway as we were out most of the time.

Great location, nice and helpful stuff, cozy and very specious room, really no complains whatsoever.

Good quality/price ratio, rooms are very nice and "old style" (at least the one where I stayed) and the hotel is in a quite central position.

The only (minor) criticism is that some rooms are adjacent to the "brakfast room"

Having previously stayed at a 'boutique' hotel which was clearly expensively designed but without any thought for comfort, this was a wonderful surprise. Cosy but classical, as though we had been invited to stay at the home of friends. Easy to find, completely relaxing and yet only a few steps away from both the Grand Canal and excellent restaurants and patisserie/coffee shops.

A small but friendly B&B in a great location near the Rialto Bridge. We had adjoining rooms at a great price, which can be difficult to find in Venice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Including recommending a lovely restaurant nearby which was affordable, and with good food and atmosphere. The breakfast was great offering plenty of range for all the family.

We had a wonderful (though too short) visit at Ca` Arco Antico. Arriving early from the US we were welcomed and given helpful information to make our stay and departure easy and enjoyable. The location was perfect and convenient to the water and the shopping. The owner was the nicest woman we met during our entire vacation (which included four countries) and we were lucky enough that she spoke wonderful English. You will be pleasantly surprised when you arrive to see that you have selected such a good place!

Hotel was very easy to use as a base to tour the city. Price was fair for a larger room. Make certain that you have directions in your hand before going. The owners have them and can e-mail them to you.

Breakfast wasnt the best

Good location, room wasn't flash but had something charming about it.

Loved the location, quiet small hotel out of the main drag but close to everything. I stayed with my 16 year old son and we loved it. Did get horribly lost though finding our way back the first night so make sure you take note of the landmarks. The map you get given of Venice is very deceiving.

The picture in the ad wasn't of the hotel. No elevator and the stairs were very danergous, I almost fell down them twice. The air conditioner wasn't very good and the lights dimmed when it kicked on. Most of the light bulbs were burned out and not replaced.

It is a charming guesthouse with old world charm. We were greeted warmly by Lorenza. she was so helpful and made us feel instantly at ease and welcome. to our surprise the following day we had an unpleasant man at the front desk (Franko) who was not interested in helping us. I would not hold that against the hotel since the other owners are so nice. When I mentioned this about Franko I was told that they had had complaints before. please Franko ...get your act together so that you don't spoil the reputation of your nice hotel. The location is in a quiet back street and for Venice it is a good value. the breakfast was nothing special, but there is so much good food to eat in Venice that we didnt mind.

The location. The rooms were very nice as was the breakfast. The America's cup was that day, so the price was extremely high, but it was a nice, small hotel. We left a kindle and they kept it until we returned a week later, which was extremely wonderful.

We booked two rooms at Ca'Arco Antico, for our family of 6. We loved the location of the hotel, the decor/furniture, and the alcove in one of the rooms. Our room which had a balcony also had a clothes line, so we were able to hand wash some clothes and put them out to dry! The morning breakfast was lovely and plentiful, with enough diversity of food to please everyone. My children loved staying at Ca'Arco Antico, which was our first stop on our 3-city tour of Italy.

Very friendly owners. Clean rooms. Very close to realto bridge and san marco square. Nice neighborhood. Good restaurants and supermarket (coop) nearby. Relatively cheaper compared to San Marco shops. Could get a peek of Grand Canal. Would stay here again.
