The location was excellent and we loved the apartment
Davide was very helpful in suggestions on where to go and when. Good restaurant recommendations. Lovely stay!
Excellent place to stay. Close to main all Venice attractions...very nice rooms with a charming atmosphere of the hotel. Very quite. All in all, very recommended. Davide makes it simple for you by explaining how to navigate between the cannels and restaurants...
We are a family of 5 with three children aged between 10 and 15. We stayed at Cabuta for 2 nights in a very well appointed room. The decor was stylish and the room very spacious . We also had a breakfast included which was limited relative to hotels in other countries where we have been staying, but still quite nice. The classical music that was playing softly in the background during breakfast was very relaxing. Our host Davide was very welcoming, highly professional in his approach and extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it came to getting around Venice. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a stopover in Venice.
The only downside that I could note is that our room opened on to the breakfast area. If my son left our door open people eating breakfast could see in. This was quite a minor issue in the scheme of things. Our room was not noisy, we slept in a peaceful environment.
Great location to water bus and central venice in general. David very helpful with regard to local sites and amenities. Was great for our family and we enjoyed out stay
Before arriving at Ca' Bauta we received an e-mail from David (concierge / manager) giving us explicit instructions about how to find the property (no matter how we were arriving) and some helpful tips (eg. buying passes for the water buses) to set us up for our stay. When we arrived, the first thing he did was sit us down with a map to point out places of interest and make some suggestions about what we might consider doing while we were there. Throughout our stay, he was always ready to help, make reservations and answer our questions. It was so nice to be hosted by someone who so obviously loves his city and his job. The accommodations were great too and the location was ideal ... close enough to main attractions but far enough away so there was some peace and quiet ... but the highlight for this property was David himself!
The only complaint we had ... and it was a small one ... is that the walk from the waterfront to the property was quite long when carrying heavy luggage. The bridges and cobblestone streets were a bit of a challenge even with luggage on wheels. Next time we will pack a bit lighter!
Fantastic location, awesome staff, comfortable
Little old, but still good
First of all, the hotel has an excellent location. Hidden, quiet and far from the touristic crowds but close enough to anything you might want to see in Venice (if you don’t want to walk everywhere, the water transports will have you covered). Following the directions we were sent by email, it was easy to find. Room was spacious, quiet and clean and exactly as Italian as we wanted it with wooden ceilings and pictures of old Venice (not to forget the two impressive Murano glass chandeliers in the reception area). If you are looking for modern and minimalistic this is not the place. Breakfast was good, maybe on the smaller side, but everything was fresh and coffee was excellent. Staff was very helpful and on our first evening directed us to a great little restaurant. Will definitely come back here.
The place is charming exactly what you are looking for when in venice David was very helpful with directions and everything we needed We stayed in the room with the jaccuzi it was perfect
Nothing everything was great
Great location, 10 mins from St Marks Square, but away from the hustle & bustle.
We stayed in the annex, which has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living room and a kitchen. The arrangement is great for families traveling with children. The hotel is close to major attractions in Venice. We were able to return to the hotel to rest between sightseeing.
It's difficult to locate the hotel. Remember to bring the direction they sent you.
Management wasn't real helpful. Pictures on bookings.com were deceiving. We had sewer flies in our bedroom and shower.
David-wonderful host. Very helpful, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Good location from airport water taxi and ease of getting around Venice from the hotel.
The facilities are excellent, it's decorated as an old Venetian aristocratic house. The service provided is great and very personalized. Great breakfast wit classical music :)
Staff cooperation and directions provided to find the location.
Not having additional toilets.
Great staff, Great facilities and lovely quiet place to stay. A place to avoid the crowds.
Just outside the tourist area but still close by San Marco which gives you the chance to discover Venice surroundings. Very helpfull and friendly owner of the hotel. Even Italian breakfast was surprising good:-).
Not that easy to find but great experience for our kids to find the hotel through all the narrow streets of Venice with a map in their hands
Our stay was amazing, all the staff, the location, the room, everything was perfect! We will go back soon!
advisely to 1st timer to Venice not to carry with them a suitcase more than 20 kilos cause u r going thro a lot of hardship & obstacles going in n out fr your hotel on yr 1st & last day...
Definitely Deserves 5 starts. Very friendly staff and helpful. Very beautiful, well designed hotel, looks even better than the pictures published in your site.. Located in a very quiet area. 10 min walk to san marco Loved everything about it
deserves more stars than what they got already. very luxurious and well presented. nice breakfast. very good internet connection
Large room and a nice clean bathroom. Very pleasantly surprised that the drinks in the fridge were complementary of the hotel owner. A nice pleasant accommodation where you were welcomed.
Breakfast was only served until 9.30 which is early if you want a lie in. The view from our room was the back of a building which was disappointed. Also the hooks on the curtain tie back were not secure and came off.
Fantastic room, the biggest room we have ever stayed in. The hot tub is great. The staff are very welcoming and provided us with lots of information. Excellent stay.
Friendly and very helpful staff, lovely unique surroundings only minutes walk to St.Marks square. Individual and personal service.
Good scenes outside the windows.
1. Bad location. 2. Low internet speed. 3. Small and cramped room.
