Place was clean and nice. Free WiFi! Deliciuos breakfast! The owner was very helpful, very nice honest man!
The staff (the owner) is extremely friendly! I appropriate that he is also very familiar with Venice so that he did gave us great recommendations. One thing about giving an advice is that there had no kettle for hot water.
Unpretentious B&B in quiet location but near the sights. An excellent place to stay. Clean, comfortable, great breakfast and incredibly nice, friendly, helpful owner. Highly recommended.
Atmosphere was good. Laid back yet professional and friendly too. Nothing was too much trouble for Davide. Inside of hotel exactly as photos on website. Continental breakfast really good, especially the American style coffee. Very pleased. Mick and Jan. Bath
Poor internet connection
the host is really nice. he is really patirnt while giving direction and had some recommendations of restaurants.
there was a dead fly on the wall in our hotel room the day we checked in we checkin but the cleaner did not bother to get rid of it -and i found a living black spider which body is as big as a 10p coin in one of my wash bags which was horrifying.
Manager was excellent. Location brilliant.
Unfortunately the wifi was only available in communal areas and not the rooms themselves.
Our room had a small issue with the toilet, which didn't really discomfort us, but as soon as Davide found out he didn't charge us for breakfast, offered to swap us to another room, and went out of his way to help. The rooms are spacious, super comfortable, well designed and the location of the hotel is ideal. It isn't in the immediate heart of Venice, but you rather stay here, as getting to Rialto bridge and other main locations is less than a 10min walk from here. For what you pay, you get an amazing place to stay, and has a wow factor as soon as you walk in.
We were a bit worried walking up to the hotel, from the outside we were thinking "what have we booked!". But as soon as you open the door and walk up, it is designed like a palace.
First of all, thank you Davide for the lovely stay. We were surprised with the great location of the hotel. It was much easier to find than we expected from all of the stories on Booking.com about Venice. And it was a perfect starting location to head out to any of the districts. The room was nice and warm (in winter) and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was nice, nothing to complain about. And last but not least, the host was really helpful and kind. He took the time to tell us about the places we needed to see and about the less touristy places to eat. Which we did and enjoyed!
Actually nothing! We would definitely come back in the future and recommend this place to friends and family.
Staff (especially Davide) very welcoming, Clean, Spacious Room, Good Breakfast, Good Value, Personal Service
Pillows (I like them extra thick, just a personal preference)
Located in a residential rather than tourist area.
The main door takes some getting used to!
Breakfast too limited
Davide is a consummate host. He provided a wonderful continental breakfast complete with freshly brewed Italian coffee and Espresso. A great way to catapult us into the day. Our accommodation was handy for us. He provided excellent info on the area, transportation, restaurants, etc. We took online advice and "just got lost".
Many steps on the staircase to get into Ca' Bauta but then again Venice has many walking bridges. To do Venice you must walk.
it is always so exciting to go through a small door in the wall and find something beautiful ... delightful bedroom, lovely breakfast in a stunning central high ceiling room. Much nearer to Rialto and St Marks than we thought when booking, and some great restaurants nearby too.
Our room was incredibly hot
Excellent location. Davide the owner was a font of local knowledge and very helpful
The location was excellent and we loved the apartment
Davide was very helpful in suggestions on where to go and when. Good restaurant recommendations. Lovely stay!
Excellent place to stay. Close to main all Venice attractions...very nice rooms with a charming atmosphere of the hotel. Very quite. All in all, very recommended. Davide makes it simple for you by explaining how to navigate between the cannels and restaurants...
We are a family of 5 with three children aged between 10 and 15. We stayed at Cabuta for 2 nights in a very well appointed room. The decor was stylish and the room very spacious . We also had a breakfast included which was limited relative to hotels in other countries where we have been staying, but still quite nice. The classical music that was playing softly in the background during breakfast was very relaxing. Our host Davide was very welcoming, highly professional in his approach and extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it came to getting around Venice. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a stopover in Venice.
The only downside that I could note is that our room opened on to the breakfast area. If my son left our door open people eating breakfast could see in. This was quite a minor issue in the scheme of things. Our room was not noisy, we slept in a peaceful environment.
Great location to water bus and central venice in general. David very helpful with regard to local sites and amenities. Was great for our family and we enjoyed out stay
Before arriving at Ca' Bauta we received an e-mail from David (concierge / manager) giving us explicit instructions about how to find the property (no matter how we were arriving) and some helpful tips (eg. buying passes for the water buses) to set us up for our stay. When we arrived, the first thing he did was sit us down with a map to point out places of interest and make some suggestions about what we might consider doing while we were there. Throughout our stay, he was always ready to help, make reservations and answer our questions. It was so nice to be hosted by someone who so obviously loves his city and his job. The accommodations were great too and the location was ideal ... close enough to main attractions but far enough away so there was some peace and quiet ... but the highlight for this property was David himself!
The only complaint we had ... and it was a small one ... is that the walk from the waterfront to the property was quite long when carrying heavy luggage. The bridges and cobblestone streets were a bit of a challenge even with luggage on wheels. Next time we will pack a bit lighter!
Fantastic location, awesome staff, comfortable
Little old, but still good
First of all, the hotel has an excellent location. Hidden, quiet and far from the touristic crowds but close enough to anything you might want to see in Venice (if you don’t want to walk everywhere, the water transports will have you covered). Following the directions we were sent by email, it was easy to find. Room was spacious, quiet and clean and exactly as Italian as we wanted it with wooden ceilings and pictures of old Venice (not to forget the two impressive Murano glass chandeliers in the reception area). If you are looking for modern and minimalistic this is not the place. Breakfast was good, maybe on the smaller side, but everything was fresh and coffee was excellent. Staff was very helpful and on our first evening directed us to a great little restaurant. Will definitely come back here.
The place is charming exactly what you are looking for when in venice David was very helpful with directions and everything we needed We stayed in the room with the jaccuzi it was perfect
Nothing everything was great
Great location, 10 mins from St Marks Square, but away from the hustle & bustle.
