Small hotel, vey kind staff and reasonable location. Breakfast starts to be served at 8am and I like to rise early, so would prefer breakfast to be served earlier.

Very nice and clean apartment, has a small terrace so you can meet the sunset with a romantic dinner. Has all that is needed to prepare this dinner (except the kettle, if you like tea). Easy to find, two vaporetto stations nearby. Very quiet location during summer holidays (there is the Venetian University's department of economy near). Located far from the main touristic sites of Venice, it takes more than an hour to walk to the St.Mark's square on foot.

It was a sweet hotel on the whole. We were staying on the ground floor and unfortunately almost everything was heard what was going on in this little house. Especially uncomfortable was hearing anyone taking a shower - sounds of pouring water around you... That was sad, because on the whole it was a sweet hotel, as mentioned above.

The two hotel staff were very nice and helpful and spoke a good English. And the location was great - close enough to the touristic places but also far enough so you don't have to hear the noises from the touristic places at night. So hotel staff and rate versus location are the best criteria for this b & B. The only thing is that the breakfast (which was included in the room rate) was exactly the same every day and a small choice of items and I stayed there 6 days so... But the coffee was very good.

The apartment was beautiful and large enough to give us space for preparing our own meals, doing our own laundry (by hand), and had a wonderful view. Also, the staff was helpful but not intrusive - our room was cleaned each day, but we never saw anyone unless we went to them for specific assistance. Getting emails in advance was very helpful, especially when we arrived in the middle of the night! We had asked for an extra bed, but after having seen the room I know why we didn't get one - too hard to carry up the steps! It would have been good to know that in advance since we did correspond. Also, while the site did mention that the fee needed to be paid in cash, it would have been helpful to see that more than once. The location was a little remote, but we didn't mind - being Jewish, it was nice to stay in the Jewish quarter!

Very clean rooms. Polite staff. Reasonable price. Quite location. Walls are thin, so easy to hear everything from next room.

Sweet and cosy hotel, close to the railway station and Piazzale Roma. The staff was really helpful and kind and our room spacious and very clean. Event though we stayed only for two nights, they cleaned our room the second day. Quiet area. Ideal for relaxing. A little far away from Piazza San Marco and Rialto but all the way there is really beautiful.

Ca' Fontanea is a cute little hotel located on a tranquil small square close to the train station of Venice. My room was a good size ensuite which was perfectly clean (as is the rest of the hotel) and had a bed with a wonderful mattress as well as a large desk that I could work on comfortably. WiFi is available free of charge throughout the hotel. The staff at Ca' Fontanea is wonderfully welcoming, friendly and helpful. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who looks for calm and clean basis from which to explore Venice and still wants to have some money left to spend in the city.

Very comfortable location: quiet and peaceful, not far from train and vaporetto stations, beyond the boundaries of main touristic places but not too far from them. The hotel is small, not more than 7-8 rooms, staff is friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi.

Comfortable, very clean and cosy. Quiet location. Not far from train/bus stations. Can be better: teapot in the room/kitchen to prepare the tea/coff when staff is absent. Breakfast is not big (as everywhere in Italy).

The Hotel is situated in a very calm region of venice. The house is nice renovated, even some of the installations needs again repair (wooden floor, silicone joint of the shower). The included breakfast with very good compared to "normal" Italian breakfast. The staff was very helpful and gives us useful hints. Noise from other rooms can be heared very easily. The good point is that all visitors of this hotel at the same time were very polite and calm, so that this point was not a big disadvantage

It was very quiet, nice old building. Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location is excellent - a beautiful corner of Venice, close to but not in the middle of the main tourist tracks.

Despite being far from the train station the location is very good for those who want quiet! Quiet and cozy. Bad breakfast. Only butter and jelly on the bread. Even with stove and boiled eggs the hotel refused to make scrambled eggs. Only artificial items.

Since this was my trip to Venice, I wanted to make sure that they would be comfortable and to be honest I did not know what to expect but we found our stay at the Ca Fontanea a memorable one. I believe the best part about Ca Fontanea is the staff. Beatrice was extremely helpful and very professional. Since I was traveling with my family, we stayed in one of the apartments which suited us well. It was spacious, clean and quiet. Although it is far from the more populated areas, we did not find this a major problem as we the train station and other main areas are within walking distance. In addition there are vaporetto stops nearby. If we were to visit Venice again, we would stay here again.

The receptionist, Inna, was great. Very friendly and helpful. The room was very new and clean. The bed was good. The room had a tub, which is unusual in Europe. The wireless Internet worked well. The breakfast was simple, but good - pastries, yogurt, cereal. I will definitely stay there again. This was not a negative for me, but it is a bit off the beaten path - past the last vaporetto stop. But I liked it because the place was located in a quiet neighborhood that most tourists would otherwise never see.
