Ca' Fontanea  

Small hotel, vey kind staff and reasonable location.

Breakfast starts to be served at 8am and I like to rise early, so would prefer breakfast to be served earlier.

Nice and quiet location but still within walking distance (10 - 15 minutes with suitcases) from the bus and train station - and without having to cross too many canals (= bridges!). We especially enjoyed the roof terrace. Friendly and helpful reception staff.

Kitchen could be better equiped - we were missing wine glasses, cutting board etc. We stayed 3 persons: the double bed was good, but the extra bed could be of a better quality.

Bath room is big and clean. Room deco is good.

The atmosphere at Ca' Fontanea was very relaxed, rooms are relatively basic but attractive, comfortable and very clean - we stayed in a classic double (twin) room on the first floor and both room and bathroom were a good size. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived about 3 hours before check in and because our room was ready we were allowed to check in early. If our room hadn't been ready, we would have been allowed to leave our bags in reception until later. The location is ideal as it's a really pleasant walk from the centre of Venice and just on the periphery of the busy part of the city - so you get best of both worlds! It's also only a 20 minute walk from the bus station. I would definitly stay at Ca' Fontanea again.

This hotel or b&b is cosy. Breakfast is good with bread, croissant, canned meat, yoghurt, coffee and juice. Overall is clean. Staff is nice.

Location is quite far from train station and other attractions. It's in residential area. You need to take water bus and walk to the hotel and it takes up to 15 minutes. But if you have plenty of time in Venezia. It's not a problem ...

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was big and nice, very nice facilities for such a good price.

Sweet and cosy hotel, close to the railway station and Piazzale Roma. The staff was really helpful and kind and our room spacious and very clean. Event though we stayed only for two nights, they cleaned our room the second day. Quiet area. Ideal for relaxing.

A little far away from Piazza San Marco and Rialto but all the way there is really beautiful.

Really large, very clean warm and comfortable room. Free and fast Wi-Fi, fridge in the room. Friendly personnel. Hotel is very easy to find. Rather good breakfast. Would recommend this hotel.

Comfortable, very clean and cosy. Quiet location. Not far from train/bus stations. Can be better: teapot in the room/kitchen to prepare the tea/coff when staff is absent. Breakfast is not big (as everywhere in Italy).

Excelent hotel. A little costly..well accomodation in Venice is. Very friendly staff,contary to italian service mind 15 min from train stn on foot. Stick to the canals while going for the first time. A little seculate,so wont get any one to ask ur way if lost.

The receptionist, Inna, was great. Very friendly and helpful. The room was very new and clean. The bed was good. The room had a tub, which is unusual in Europe. The wireless Internet worked well. The breakfast was simple, but good - pastries, yogurt, cereal. I will definitely stay there again.

This was not a negative for me, but it is a bit off the beaten path - past the last vaporetto stop. But I liked it because the place was located in a quiet neighborhood that most tourists would otherwise never see.
