Easy to find, very welcoming staff, cosy rooms, the breakfast was a little poor but it was good value for money
The hotel is small and extremely friendly, good food and the level of comfort is excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.....i would thoroughly recommend this delightful treasure! Venice is just a cheap bus ride away the staff will tell you the number etc.
The location is in the heart of dual carriage way with some ladies of the night, but this should not take away from this gem...
small, well run family hotel with very obliging staff.excellent value for money. A fifteen minute bus ride from the Grand Canal but the benefits of the hotel and staff outway the slight negative of a bus journey into the centre. The hotel specialises in sea food, which was fantastic, but also produced good quality meat on request. The locals also use the resteraunt which is recommendation itself! Well done!
The staff were very accommodating. We arrived in the afternoon by bus from our cruise ship at the pier in Venice. We were tired and had a nap. We hadn't eaten since 7 am and were hungry. Around 4 pm we decided to have some lunch.(In Italy, restaurants close from 3 pm to 8 pm). The hotel chef prepared a customized lunch for us; and a bowl with fruit, pastry and yogurt for our early breakfast.
Venice is an island joined to the mainland by a causeway. The hotel is on the mainland. Taxis are very expensive. We decided to take the bus. I showed the the bus driver the address; he dropped us off 6 blocks from the hotel. The next day, at 6:15 am, we caught a bus from a bus stop 1 block away to go to the airport. airport.
The staff was super friendly and always helpfull, totally recommended!
Terrific staff...incredabily helpful...Superb seafood restaurant inhouse..Good value
Very expensive to take a cab to hotel from airport...Bus takes about 25 minutes from hotel to Venice...crowded..long wait. Need to take taxi from Hotel to cruise port.....Do not take the bus.
The whole feel was one of care for the customer, nothing was to much trouble for the very helpful friendly staff. Accommodation and Décor are first class in Traditional Elegant Italian Style. The Restaurant which specialises in daily fresh fish from the local area produces absolute first class meal at a fair price. All home made. Many local Clientele use the Restaurant. Located just on the mainland it is ideally located on a bus route, or to drive, for very easy access to Venice Island. Very helpful advice on travel in Venice. Buy a daily travel card for use on the Water Buses all over Venice Lagoon and Islands. Highly Recommended. Will return. Roy & Gabriella, Austria.
Such a warm welcome. Eva is absolutely gorgeous, inside and out. The staff are so lovely. We felt so comfortable & welcome. Ca' Nova is so nice inside, old style charm. If you'd like to eat in the in house restaurant has beautiful food. If you know what time you're arriving, pick up from the train station is offered. Drop off back to the train when you're ready to leave is also offered. Easy walk to the bus stop to travel into Venice. Short walk to local shops, restaurants etc....
Not that i didn't like it, but location is a little isolated. Although buses are easily assessable....
Eva and Mattea are amazingly welcoming and attentive! Eva stores our extra bike gear while touring Italy without question. And Mattea (chef) whipped us up a wonderful complimentary lunch while we waited for our room to be ready (early check-in). Don't miss out on this hotel & restaurant!
We stayed at Ca' Nova during our Eurotour honeymoon in August-September 2014. Hotel manager Eva prepared for our 2-day stay the perfect room with a large corner balcony-terrace overlooking the street & the parking. We traveled by car, so it's a plus. Room was not big, but very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. They serve breakfast, regular European breakfast with cereals, bread & croissants, yogurts, fruits etc. The hotel is not far from Venice, just a 10-minute drive by bus. The bus stop is a minute walk from the hotel.
The wifi was a little bit slow in some areas of our room, but overall it was good!
Staff is very kindly Free parking
A beautiful quaint hotel that is very clean and friendly. All staff but particularly Eva are very helpful and friendly that understand the importance of the guest experience. Nice continental breakfast with a variety of food offerings. We didn't have dinner in their restaurant but based on the number of people that did suggests dinner offerings would be excellent. Close to bus stop and short bus ride to main attractions. Would highly recommend this hotel. Great value!!
Stayed for 4 days. Easy to get into Venice, just a 15 min bus journey. Hotel very clean, good breakfast, very helpful staff. Would recommend the 3 day travel card.
The stay at the place was amazing specially the hostest Eva who really made a difference to the stay. The place was clean and we slept very well. it is close to Venice and we did not have any trouble getting into Venice. Do try the in house resturant you wil not be sorry.
Nothing to report
The price The staff (great people, spoke English really well, very helpful and friendly) The room The food (they were only open one evening we were there unfortunately)
It was a bit of a pain getting the bus into Venice every day, and there wasn't much around in the area itself. The bus stop was really close though and the service was decently priced and regular enough.
Splendid hotel and staff excellent could not ask for any think more
Fantastic family hotel with nice receptionist Eva,where serve spectacular fish and seafood dinners.
The staff at this place is amazing. They made our stay so very comfortable. I was travelling with my 4 year old daughter and everybody was very accommodating. Even when she got sick late one night and vomited, the staff immediately cleaned everything up and helped out as much as was possible. The breakfast is also very good.
The only issue I had with this hotel was the location. If you have a car, or are without children it might work well. Otherwise its a bit of a hassle having to take a bus into venice and then back. Esp since the buses are always very crowded and there is rarely space for a stroller which was a real pain.
Excellent service from the staff and easy access to the city.
a lovely homely hotel with a wonderful staff..Eva just couldn't do enough for us! Great food and great beds...fantastic
a little out from the buzz of the city and the busses are always crowded
Great location - very scenic, comfortable room - we wished we could have stayed longer.
Overall, good food, good location, good service and good room.
Mosquitoes in Summer which is a norm according to Eva
Eva was a really wonderful host who could not do enough for us. Food was good and home cooked. Overall very good value for money. Very quick and easy to get into Venice with bus stop almost outside hotel
Room temperature was a shade warm (but it was august)
All were perfect! We recommend this hotel for a staying when you come to Venice. Good communication with Venice, direct bus in 2 minutes from hotel and 15 minutes by the bus. Very friendly owner, his son and other personal. Thank you very much!
Staff were friendly and helpful
