Ca' Sagredo Hotel  

Loved location across from Rialto Market, quiet away from noisy San Marco square, yet within 15 minute walk from most every attraction. Next to Ca'dOro water bus stop. Staff friendly and helpful always.

Great hotel in a real Venetian Palace. A special remark for all the employees - reception, restaurant etc. They were very professional and helpful in making a memorable stay for us in Venice. Thank you Monica and Adriana!

Elegance, style, service, location.

Location and interior

Room too hot and lack of information in hotel room about hotel e.g price of breakfast, where to go for breakfast, resteraunt prices and menu. Remote for t.v not working and no pen to add comments.

We had been warned that sometimes in October, it floods during high tide. Well that's what happened. When we walked into the lobby at Ca' Sagredo, we asked for boots, and the response was "What size?" We had arrived earlier than check-in, but our bags were taken, we changed into the boots, and headed out of the soggy walk around town! It was an adventure. All the staff were very friendly and informative. The room was lovely, with a VERY NICE, LARGE bathroom. Next time we must remember to request a room overlooking the canal.

Staff, location, the building it self

We did not like this hotel at all. The advertising was pretty false- they show you the beautiful, very expensive parts, but the rest is very dreary. The lobby looks run down and management are doing all their paperwork right there. A sad plant in one corner. Our double deluxe room was one of the ugliest rooms we ever stayed in. Zero charm. The bathroom was nice, except for the dead flower. I'm totally amazed it's a five star hotel.

Not much. The location is good and our bathroom (room 408), was nice and big.

Staff was great. I appreciated the free wi-fi.

Our junior suite had a very strange layout which was inconvenient. Better just to charge normal room rate for that specific room.

Everything. Amazing middle-age palazzo saved and decorated with love and patience. The best hotel I have stayed at. Six stars without questions.

The ancient palace was amazing in it's architecture, history and paintings. It was right on the Grand Canal but not in busy San Marco area, rather in Rialto bridge area. The cocktails and diiner outside ont he canal were really nice and the water taxi pulled right up to their dock. A beautiful room and bathroom. And compared to other high end hotels a good value.

Didn;t seem to have manyother amenities...pool, spa etc or roof higher views. And for some reason, we didn;t get breakfast with our rate ...our travle companions did.

No value for money at all. Staff rude and very unfriendly. There was no turn down service. Nothing extra like water next to your bead or a chocolate, like all the other hotels have given in Italy. You are a burden more than a guest. You call for housekeeping after 9 and it does not exist. The bedding on the bed is an old sheet. I was utterly disgusted. Would have rather spent my money at a better hotel. My advice is that you find another hotel unless you want to waste your money and sleep with old sheets.

When we arrived at the hotel we were warmly greeted by the reception staff. We had informed them prior to our trip that it was to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We were shown to our room and there was a bottle of champagne on ice and fruit waiting for us. The hotel was in a great location for transport,restaurants etc.

My only critisism would be that the bed was a little too firm for us.

We loved the quiet location and yet convenience. Our dinner was excellent and so were the buffet breakfasts. the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was a good size and so was the bathroom. Our two previous hotels had small bathrooms, so we appreciated the larger version.

We wished the bar was a bit less stuffy. Also they didn't use a chapagne flute for my chapagne which I had never encountered. our overall experience was great.

Ca'Sagredo is a very sophisticated, noble and truly luxurious place, simply perfect for stay in Venice. The arts, decorations and overall style of the hotel is a very good starting point before visiting Palazzo Ducale. The staff is outstanding - very attentive and discreet matching the character of the place perfectly. If I am ever in Venice again, I will definitely stay there again.

I would expect a bit more from hotel restaurant - it offers solid cuisine based on fresh ingredients directly from Rialto market but still with some room for higher sophistication, especially in the area of desserts. Still, the restaurant's service is quite outstanding which makes diníng in Ca' Sagredo a unique experience.
