The hotel has very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff and a central location. No Grand Hotel, but discreet and personal. Very beautiful!
Great location, minutes walk to ferry San Toma where you can take water buses to almost everywhere; Excellent staff, really warm welcome for us and being really helpful
Rooms are a bit small, but what can you expect in the city of Venice where land is limited and housings are expensive. Not a big issue for us as we only needed a place to sleep.
No matter what question we asked them they were always willing to help
Helpful staff, good location in the middle between train station and san marco
We loved how clean it was..... Seriously, for such an old place thats hard to accomplish. You feel like you can sit on the floor of the bathroom. There is nothing not to love about this place... Only regret is not signing up for the breakfast!!!! It was all booked up when we arrived so make sure you sign up when you make your room booking! Oh and we should add that afterward we spent one night in another hostel that was slightly cheaper and included breakfast but we regretted changing locations.... Ca' San Polo is worth the money.. trust us!
Perfect location! Walking distance to everything fun, great restaurants, and the train station. Nice clean cozy room with character.
Breakfast was 10 extra euros! Too pricey. We would have liked to eat there but there are cheaper places not too far. WiFi was scarce.
staff was fantastic, extremely helpful. location for us was excellent
kept bumping my head going into the bathroom. ceilings a bit low.
Very close to all the sites in Venice, which is really what we wanted. The staff were very friendly.
There was some noise from outside at night, so you have to keep the windows shut. The room was very dark. There was a kettle in the room but the cups were plastic, tea supplied but no coffee.
Staff are extremely helpful and breakfast was very good.
In this day and age there's no excuse for no wi- if in rooms. You can access the Internet in the breakfast room however it was so slow as to be practically useless. For a modest investment they can easily provide wireless routers in each room.
The most warm and friendly welcome on arrival. All staff members were extremely helpful from first thing in the morning to last thing at night. I would highly recommend Ca' San Polo.
The only think was that parking is very limited around the hotel. It was a 15 minute walk to the carpark.
Very comfortable room. Very helpful staff who spoke excellent English. Wide choices for continental breakfast - can recommend the pain au chocolat. Well positioned for access to places of interest.
Room size. No directions on getting a water taxi. We walked to hotel and carried out bags over bridges and were exhausted when we got there.
Friendly helpful staff and great location.
The staff could not do enough to make our stay wonderful. The room was near a busy byway and when the windows were closed we heard nothing. Great stay and would stay again.
The TV was very small and only had two stations in English. Yes were not there to watch TV. The location is very hard to find. Have the hotel get a porter to bring you from the train station worth the price.
From reservation to checkout the staff was nothing short of spectacular. Alessia (sp) could not have been more helpful if she had been out own personal tour guide. Directions, assistance with airline checkin, recommending and making dinner reservations, to mailing a postcard home. In addition, the hotel was a real gem. Tucked away in a cute neighborhood, but close to so many churches, shops and museums. The rooms
Third floor location was not an issue for us but other travelers should be aware that there are stairs to be negotiated.
Had great restaurants and shopping with no crowds right around the corner.
Why does Italy have 2 beds pushed together to make a queen bed? The hair dryers were very weak.
Location, was very hard to find.
Once you get your bearings this hotel is very well located. Staff was very helpful and we loved our room.
Somewhat noisy at night but if you want to be centrally located that comes with it. We shut the windows once we went to bed and had no problems sleeping.
The centrality of the location so walking to all the sights was easy. The quaint character with the sloping floor.
No hot breakfast options and no lift for guests
Friendly staff, breakfast with great choice, away from the worst crowds but easy access to most things, great ambience
Too many stairs for old legs
Spent 5 nights here and was sad to leave. Location away from the throng but with Rialto and St Marks (and everywhere else) easy to each on foot or by water bus. Staff are fantastic giving individual service to everyone . Will come back for sure.
Everything met my expectations and more.
We liked the friendly gals who welcomed us. The hotel is extremely clean (room and bathroom) bed was comfortable enough!
Location. No lobby. No place to relax other than room. No place to have coffee or a Danish if you didn't have it included. No WIFI from the room, you have to go in the hallway to use WIFI. Very hard to spot.....unpleasant curb appeal.. we wanted to turn around and run but it was late and we were too tired to do anything about it.
The staff were very helpful and the food and the room were good.
