Only 1000 ft from the famous St Mark’s Square in Venice, 3-star Hotel Anastasia features nicely furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. La Fenice Theatre is a 5 minute walk away.
Score from 687 reviews Very good
Just 219 yards from Venice’s Bridge of Sighs, Villa Igea offers elegantly furnished rooms with air conditioning. In a 19th-century Venetian building, it is in Campo San Zaccaria.
Score from 371 reviews Excellent

The Locanda Poste Vecie is next to the open-air fish market and near Rialto Bridge and Saint Mark's Square. The rooms are furnished in an 18th-century Venetian style. Wi-Fi is free.

We liked the friendly gals who welcomed us. The hotel is extremely clean (room and bathroom) bed was comfortable enough!
Location. No lobby. No place to relax other than room. No place to have coffee or a Danish if you didn't have it included. No WIFI from the room, you have to go in the hallway to use WIFI. Very hard to spot.....unpleasant curb appeal.. we wanted to turn around and run but it was late and we were too tired to do anything about it.
The staff were very helpful and the food and the room were good.
Out of frenzy of San Marco
Good location but hard for older travellers with 4 bridges to cross from bus station
Small room and nowhere to sit in your room only on the bed.
Everything was good...
...except that the rooms with windows to the main alley were quite loud, also at night
Straff was fantastic. Explained a lot and helped us to organize our trip!
The staff at the hotel was very helpful and supported us with research in the Internet. They also made phone calls in Italian for us. They made good restaurant recommendations. Gave us a voucher for the car park. They provided the guests will all necessary information.
Rooms are rather small and dark. Entrance to the Hotel is hard to identify.
Ca' san polo is aplace we would visit again
Nice, clean room, friendly and helpful staff, good facilities, all good, very pleasant experience.
Small room, but it's completely normal in Venice.
The staff were friendly, competent, and helpful. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The signs on the buildings, plus the directions given to us by our host, made it easy to get around. The included breakfast was a great way to start our busy day exploring Venice. Holly and Steve Calgary
The staff were truly wonderful, incredibly nice and welcoming. We got an upgrade to a slightly larger room, which turned out to be very nice given how small the rooms are (it's venice, they don't have much space to work with). We did not take advantage of breakfast but I would highly reccomend doing so; the breakfast room is beautiful, the staff is great, and you're honestly going to get ripped off if you go to a sit down place anyhow so it is a much better deal than it seems. The terrace was amazing; we were only there one day but wished we could stay another. They'll also hold your bags until 8 the day you check out, and are accomodating for late check in/getting lost on your way there. The walk there is easy so long as you find the right bridge and follow the rialto signs.
You have to ring to get in and the reception is on the second floor, so it is a bit hard to get in to check in. The bathroom also was cramped and had a small door; it was well maintained, clean, and modern, but a bit small for me and I'm 5'10. The location is somewhat far from the traditional tourist areas.
The staff were excellent, the woman on the desk gave us a map on arrival and talked us through things such as where to get a gondola ride. She also printed off our bus route to Jesolo. There was an elevator to take our bags past the first floor, and the room had everything we needed.. very good bathroom, kettle, fridge, quiet air con! everything was spotless. Breakfast was good, had everything we needed and was in a very nice, light room. We only stayed one night but would have stayed longer if we could!
It wasn't exactly easy to find, but that's because Venice is like a maze rather than the hotel its self, which was signposted. I wouldn't recommend walking from the train station if you have cases, its not that far but there's lots of bridges and carrying them up and down can be a challenge! You can get a water taxi. The room was quite dark but again that's typical venetian style.
Impossible to find
The Ca' San Polo location is perfect, away from the maddening crowds but within easy access to the sites. The staff is extremely welcoming and kind and very helpful with any questions. Their recommended ristorante around the corner "MuroVenezia" was also a delicious place to eat with friendly staff. The local shops with beautiful window fronts are worth exploring. The beds at Ca' San Polo are extremely comfortable and we would definitely stay there again.
Loved Venice, Loved our Hotel & Loved the Staff. They were Superb in every way. They were always there to help with any of our inquiries. When I go back to Venice I will stay there again.
Appreciate the staff being fluent in English to assist us during our travels. They were very friendly and anxious to assist us.
Staff were really helpful giving us routes for exploration and reccomendations for attractions. Great little rooftop terrace, where we had a pleasent dinner one evening with a pleasant but not spectacular view.
WiFi in our room was pretty terrible/non existent but reasonable in the breakfast room/hallways. Pillows weren't great.
Luggage elevator was great but you still had to walk up the stairs to your room. Room was really large and bathroom was generous too. Staff we're really helpful with advise on restaurants and how to get to the airport. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Wifi in the rooms was limited, it dropped in & out. Directions of how to get there walking from Venezia Santa Lucia train station were hard to follow and took much longer than 10-15minutes when you are carrying luggage. Best to catch the waterbus to S. Toma
Very helpful staff. A pleasure to have excellent service.
Room is small but I guess that's Venice. Could be some more toiletry items in the room.
Very comfortable bed Room decor Friendly & helpful staff Close to centre
Polystyrene beakers for tea One tea bag for 2 people No milk 4th floor - no lift Very difficult to find at night - poor directions
Loved the character of the house. The location is great, being in the middle of old Venice.
Need to bleach the shower.
Location close to major sites of St. Mark's Square Comfy room, dark and quiet
Didn't include option to reserve breakfast in advance when making online reservation. Didn't give directions to hotel from car park or nearest vaporetto (water taxi) stop.
Great junior suite
The women who run the hotel are very friendly and were eager to give us tips on where to go and what to do in Venice (including information on free classical music concerts). Checking in was smooth. The very Venetian room was lovely and comfortable. The breakfast room was adorable and the options were great. The airconditioning was a blessing. There's no elevator for people at the hotel (3 floors total) but there is an elevator for luggage so don't worry about that! Location is excellent just a couple of minutes away from San Toma waterbus stop. There are restaurants and cafes and shops right near the hotel.
housekeeping staff completely ignored the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on our door. Twice we were at breakfast and our wallets, laptops, cameras, etc were in the room on the bed. We specifically chose 'do not disturb' until we returned from breakfast. To our surprise, we came back to the room to discover the housekeeping staff had been in and made the bed, etc. I found that annoying.
