Nice palace, typical veneziana architecture, however the space seems to be over utilized. Simple breakfast, no dilemma in choosing. :) good position, five minutes walking to boat stop cà d'oro, where you could take the water bus to san marco and somewhere else. Kind persionnels, warm greetings. I feel disappointed by "the economy room" for couple offered by this 4 stars hotel. It was on the "piano terra", slight sinking underground, it's right beside to the hall where the breakfast is offered, so it could be a bit noisy in early morning, or in late night if someone stay in the hall talking. The room was very limited, the bed for double was 1.5 of standard single bed. It should be around 10 m2 without counting the bathroom which is half of the main room. Two people staying in the room can clearly feel difficulty in breathing. Judging from the layout of the ground floor, there should be four room in this type. However, I could doubt whether it is legal or not to utilize a room under such a condition for commercial use. Furthermore, with the same costs, it's for sure that you could find a better staying in a 3 stars hotel. Hope my experience could help you to avoid an imperfect holiday in Venice.

This small boutique hotel is in a beautiful old palazzo, within easy walking distance of Piazza San Marco, restaurants and shopping. Our suite was luxurious, extremely comfortable and clean. The hotel features a very nice breakfast. The staff, very courteous, professional and knowledgeable, makes the guests feel very special. Fast and free WiFi internet access everywhere in the hotel is a great plus. The only drawback is that there is no elevator but this deficiency can be overlooked unless one has difficulty climbing stairs.

Located in a lovely old building with pleasant rooms. Upgraded to a Junior Suite from the Classic room booked originally. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast. Very easy transport links once you get your bearings. Easy walking distance to St Mark's. Overall, good value for money, especially for Venice.

Good location, excellent service, stuff is friendly Bathroom could have been bigger; bit pricey (like everything in Venice). They charge Eur 35/night for a child if (s)he doesn't sleep not in the same bed with parents, even if a different bed (sofa) the child sleeps in is already in the room -- might be useful to be aware of this.

The hotel is very beautiful. Lovely furnishings. Our room was really large and had a separate sitting area with a couch and desk. Very nice bathroom and toiletries provided. Wonderful breakfast with excellent selection and good good coffee. The staff was so nice. We were there for 'aqua alta' and the water was covering the sidewalks, the reception provided such innovative 'boots'. They went over your normal shoes and up to your knees. They were very comfortable and kept our feet dry....also made quite a fashion statement!!

Excellent location close to shopping and water buses. This is not the hotels problem. They booked a water taxi for us for our early morning departure. We were charged 80 euro for the equivalent of a 15 to 20 minute walk. I wish I had taken down his numberand we were told Venice does not have pickpocketers I beg to differ.

We chose the economic room, and it was indeed quite economical for Venice! It was not a 4-star-hotel room, but it was cosy and clean. On the other hand, the breakfast was clearly of a 4-star small hotel. It didn't had much quantity, but the variety and the attention of the service was very good. Midway between Santa Luzia station and the Rialto bridge, its localization is also very convenient. Finally, the surrounding area, though not rich in touristic attraction (apart from Ca d'Oro), has supermakets near, besides many shops, restaurants and "gelaterias". The tv set didn't always work properly, but that didn't worry us. Italian channels always worked just fine.

Our stay at the hotel was truly relaxing. The room was everything we could have hoped for for a trip to central venice. The welcome was excellent and the staff all gave us many worthwhile tips. There are very good eateries off the main street near the hotel. As usual the art and culture in Venice was a dream come true. We will stay at this hotel again. The staff, the area, the quality of accommodation. So glad that the building retains the wonderful entrance and facade.

We were travelling around Italy and Venice was our first destination. Very beautiful building overlooking the water and in a beautiful district. My husband is on a wheelchair and the room was perfectly equipped for him. Very friendly staff. The only inconvenience was that we had to cross 3 bridges on our way from vaporetto stop - it was difficult with a wheelchair. No Wi-fi in the hotel.

Excellent location. The hotel is in front of a small canal and a bridge... Very romantic view from the small balcony of the room. During the morning we were watching the gondolas passing by!!! The neighbour is very qiet just perfect to get rest after a noisy day!!! The vaporetti station is near the hotel. Everything is close enaugh to get on foot. The reception employees are polite and very helpful. They told us where to buy venetian authentic masks, where to eat and finally they proposed us to go to Burano island which was excellent... Breakfast is good and the decoration of the hotel always reminds us we were staying in an authentic Venetian Casa (=home)!!! The only thing we did not like very much was the bathroom which was a bit small and it smelled bad.

I liked the room which is a suite but it is one large room. I have 2 kids and I was charged for one, I thought kids are free. My fault. Checking out as My booking says is at up to 14:00 but I had to argue about that. Arguing about the check out and I was charged for my daughter. The hotel has no elevator. The ac was ok but we were lucky cuz it was not so hot during my stay..

We stayed at the Santa Fosca, which was walking distance from where the shuttle from the airport dropped us off. The hotel is located in the Cannaregio area and is situated in a lovely spot just over one of the canals. When we got there the lady at reception waslovely and let us check in early, gave us a map and showed us how to get to the vapporetti stop, The room was clean and decorated in a very extravagant, traditional manner . On leaving the hotel to see Venice, there was a new receptionist called Tilly ( Tilekeratne). He was a wonderful man, very knowledge able, polite and super helpful, he told us whereto go for dinner in an area behind the hotel less frequented by Tourists that gave us a wonderful experience of what locals live like in Venice and also told us we could get a Gondola for 50 cents the next day and go across to the fish market, which was also a unique experience, many thanks to him.the Rialto and San marco.

The hotel is well placed, just off a main shopping street, with restaurants and a supermarket very near. It is 5 minutes walk from Ca'd'Oro, where you catch the waterbus on the Grand Canal. The hotel has been renovated but retains classical Venetian features. The staff are friendly and helpful, and speak good English. Our classic double room was on the ground floor, which was disappointing, but it had everything we needed (including a room safe, fridge, hairdryer and airconditioning)and was spotless, and beautifully tiled; and we paid the cheapest online rate to stay in a 4 star hotel in a good area. The buffet breakfast was plentiful.

Beautifully italian palazzo style decorated room with fabric wallpaper and the door/window leading to a small balcony overlooking a nice side canal with a great view. The hotel location is very conveniently placed 7 minutes away from C'Oro which is the vaporetto-boat stop to/from piazza Roma (for airport bus) or Santa Lucia railway station (as long as your luggage has good rollers to negotiate the inevitable 3 small canal bridges steps leading to the hotel. Also great location for Venecian sight seeing on foot. Excellent international style breakfast.A number of nice restaurants very near-by. The shower takes getting used to a little, but once you learned it - its a good one. Not really being a minus point at all.

The hotel Ca'Vendramin Di Santa Fosca is small but very lovely. We stayed in the small en-suite room on the ground floor . The room was spotless with linen and towels changed every day. The contential buffet breakfast was more than sufficient. The hotel is perfectly situated just off the main strip 'Strada Nova'. The hotel staff are very friendly and more than eager to help. Its very peaceful and comfortable. We found it absoutely perfect! The only problem with the hotel, if you could call it a problem, was that they dont have wifi.

Good location. Nice decoration and good breakfast. At first they put me in a room very small that was located right behind the frontal desk. It was even dificult to move aroud the bed because the room was realy small and I coul hear every guest tha came to the froltal desk asking for their keys. I realy wondn't recomend anybody to book this room (nº101). I complained, and they said I had booked a small room. I call the booking.com service and they got in touch with the hotel and they removed to a suite the next day. It was a very nive and confortable suite, but they charged a diference of 50 euros a day.
