Set between the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia, the Romano is a boutique hotel overlooking the Roman Fora. The rooms are uniquely decorated and set over 4 floors of a historic building.
Score from 539 reviews Excellent
Privacy, very friendly staff, hospitality, breakfast in room for free, reasonable distance to visit dowtown by foot...
nothing serious but if you have bad wheather the distance to the tourist attractions and restaurants is probably just a little too long....
Oksana - staff person who spoke russian and was very helpful. She makes this place feel like home. Oksana has been working there for over 9 years and it felt like she was a very warm host. She knew about the history of the hotel and the little nuances about the furnishings which added to the character. Rossana - who directed us to the best pizza place. Breakfast was served in bed!!
Minor things : No hair conditioner, no slippers, no cotton pads.
- Friendly and helpful staff - Nice rooms - Very good location, next to the colosseum.
The breakfast. If the colosseum was built with the bread from the breakfast, it would still be here today.
The location, helpful and friendly staff, wonderful cozy atmosphere and overall great character of this little hotel was wonderful. We stayed for two weeks and never regretted choosing this hotel. Excellent for first-time travelers to Rome as well, as the staff are happy to help plan your excursions and provide extra information on many activities. Would go there again and again and recommend it to anyone looking for a more personal stay than a large hotel.
Location, quietness, staff, cleanliness.
Same (limited) selection range of food every day at breakfast.
location, staff friendly and helpful, lovely breakfast in bed,
no English speaking tv channels advertised as satellite
Location! A hundred yards from the Forum and 2 hundred yards from the Colosseum. Clean and quiet.
Quite hard to find (we walked from the station) as the entrance is shared with other business and its not clear that a hotel is housed within!
Very helpful staff, great location
Everything was great, great room, great breakfast ,great location ,great Staff,a little pricie ,,,but would stay there again,,,,it's our home away from home,,,Thanks Roseanna,,,,
Nice sizeable room Good wifi Located 5 mins walk from colosseum Friendly staff Clean Decent breakfast Small present on arrival makes you feel welcome
Poor shower Noisy within the premises - can conversations in the hallway from room Some items on breakfast were forgotten sometimes and some items in the breakfast were sub-par (e.g. orange juice) Would be nice to have an info sheet within each room - e.g. how to order breakfast, etc.
- in-room breakfast included - clean and spacious - the coliseum and the forum are around the corner - nice staff - comfy bed
Just a note to my fellow travellers: you'd better take a taxi from the train station if you have a big luggage; otherwise, good luck with dragging it for over 20 minutes on the cobbled street
The staff were amazing. Roseanna and Sumi made dinner reservations for us, taxi, and helped in every way. They were cheerful, helpful, and helped to make our experience wonderful. The Caesar House hotel is the most convenient hotel ever for visiting Colosseum and Roman Forum and most other must see destinations. Our room was spacious and very clean. I would definitely rebook if we come to Rome again. The morning breakfast was nice too and Sumi made sure we had exactly what was needed.
We liked everything--absolutely no complaints.
It is located next to most sightseeing sites. Actually, sites are at walking distances.
Our window was facing street opposite restaurants. Some nights it was noisy until early hours of the morningg
Walking distance to historic Rome. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place
They provide only 1 set of keys to the guest. Thus, guests would have to be together to access the building door or their room
We had a very pleasant stay at Caesar House Residenze. It is very well located in central and very close to colosseo. Receiption was very friendly with their friendly behaviour and help in planning visiting attraction around. Rooms were very neat and clean. Bathroom has a cool bathtub and jaccuzi to relax after long walks on street of rome. There are a lot of eating points and super market on same street. Indian guy at reception (sumir) was more than helpful with breakfast and other advises. We highly recommend this place for a cool stay in rome. If we go to rome again we would love to stay here again.
Lovely large quite rooms & double glazed with AC Fantastically helpful staff-nothing was ever a problem & great recommendations for local restaurants We received help with planning our tours via email even before we arrived in Rome from the staff They also arrange private car pick up from airport and drop off to cruise terminal at the great price Brilliant location If only all hotel staff could be this good, travelling would be so much easier!!!
Super friendly staff, couldn't believe how good the location was, very clean and nice room. We were on our honeymoon from Ireland and were very pleased with this place. Prob the best place we stayed at during our week in Italy. Would def go back.
The only negative is it doesn't have the feel of the hotel, more like staying at a friends place, but that was kind of nice about it too.
Everything is just great, esp the location. Staff (we met 3, 1 female and 2 male) are extremely helpful. We had a pleasant stay.
We loved it there, very close to the city centrum, everything near by... Staff was very nice too :)
The staff was very accommodating and extremely helpful. If there was anything we needed, we just had to ask! The location was excellent - so close to the Forum and the Colosseum.
The wi-fi connection was not the best, but we didn't go to Rome for the wi-fi.
Perfect location nearby all the major sights. Walking distance to all around old Rome. The most helpfull and friendly staff we have met. Breakfast served at the room was nice Clean and comfortable room and bathroom
Great location close to the Roman Forum, the Colloseum and Colloseo metro station. Very clean and wonderful, friendly and helpful staff
Absolutely great location combined with very lovely staff.
The breakfast menu could do with a minor facelift.
