Located one mile from Poetto beach and with views of the Gulf of Cagliari, Hotel Califfo is in the Foxi area of Quartu Sant’Elena. It offers a large free-form pool with a jacuzzi. The Roman Amphitheater in Cagliari is 10 miles from the hotel. Elmas Airport is a 30-minute drive away, and Cagliari Port, where ferries depart for Naples and Palermo, is 9 miles from the Califfo. Rooms come with air conditioning, satellite TV channels and a minibar. Some have Tyrrhenian Sea views. Breakfast is buffet style, and American breakfast options are also available. Friendly staff. Everyone spoke English. Lots of nice artwork in rooms and public areas. We had a lovely sea view from our balcony. Easy to reach Cagliari by bus (bus line "PF"). The bus stops directly outside the hotel. The hotel sells bus tickets. Good parking spaces (free). We may recommend the beach in Solaras (approx. 25 km east from the hotel). The beds were uncomfortable. To reach the beaches a car is necessary. It is possible to reach the beach in Poetto with bus "PF".

The metalic room doors do not isolate sound, and there was quite a lot of noise in the corridors. Internet connection was not working for apparently several days and it did not seem anybody was trying to actually fix it. The computers offered to guests as available are archaic.

It was close to beach and quite close to town Not much info on display you had to constantly ask. All leaflets maps etc are in the office,only one. Receptionist had a clue how to do her job,the others didn't seem to care!

Breakfast was ok. Location wasn't very good, no beach within walking distance, although there was a restaurant nearby. Hotel didn't know of anything to do around the area, when I asked for suggestions. Room was smoked in when we got there and we asked for a non smoking room.

Nice view towards the sea and the Poetto beach of Cagliari, friendly staff, spacious room and lobby. Rooms were clean. The hotel does not defend its number of stars, it is in need of upgrade. There had been no checking that hairdryer/safe/sun blenders of windows/television sets were working before the room was assigned (they were not, some were fixed upon our request). The outdoor facilities were not well maintained (tennis courts, mini-golf) and the swimming pool had not been cleaned/was not available when we were guests, last week of April. Breakfast and dinner were of standard, cafeteria/mensa level, not what we expected from a 4 star hotel.

Wij hebben er als gezin geweest en is ons goed bevallen. Supermarkt zit schuin tegenover het hotel, de kamers zijn ruim, we hadden uitzicht op zee. Ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid, diner hebben we niet gehad, maar zal ongetwijfeld ook goed zijn. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en correct! Al met al hebben wij genoten in dit hotel waar je vanuit hier alle kanten op kunt gaan om het eiland te ontdekken.

Этому отелю приписаны 4 звезды которые он не заслуживает. Я бы не дал ни одной. Кондиционер не работает, интернета нет, канализация засорена, забывают поменять полотенце, даже мыло забывают докладывать. А фен похож на старый советский пылесос. Отель расположен долеко от центра и никаких развлечений нет. Ни кому бы не посоветовал остановится в этом отеле.

La struttura alberghiera che, oltre all'hotel, dispone di un residence per rendere piu' tranquillo e soddisfacente il soggiorno per le famiglie. La localita' e' vicina alla spiaggia ma raggiungibile sia con l'autobus che con la bicicletta ed inoltre con l'autobus si raggiunge cagliari da dove partono I pullman per tutta l'isola.relax in piscina. Ristorante ottimo con colazione abbondante e con tutto e di piu' per non dire dei pranzi e cene un mix con due menu' carne e pesce. Consiglio a tutti gli ospiti di soggiornare all'hotel califfo.

L'addetto alla reception aveva un viso "familiare" molto cortese! ::)) complimenti, sopratutto in un periodo come questo pieno di "serpenti"!! Sciacquone non funzionate, ci siamo aggiustati con il secchio della spazzatura, tenda della doccia con bastone (volante) rotto, fili elettrici scoperti a fianco al letto
