Location was good
The hotel is very run down. Wifi is not free and costs a lot of money, and is very slow. The breakfast was very poor - not only there was not much to choose from, but it was also not fresh (bread was stale). Half of the plugs in the room were broken. The so called panoramic bar offered views of dirty walls, with just the very top of the cathedral dome. Drinks are very expensive, but not very good. The duvet and the pillows were of poor quality. In comparison to the other 3 hotels we stayed in Florence, this was the worst.
Close to the museums, Duomo, train station, The hotel was well represented by one reception girl who was very service-oriented and outstanding. Otherwise, the room was clean and well appointed and the breakfast quite acceptable..
Despite a lovely receptionist, she was let down by other staff who simply didn't care. We were a little worried about hygiene after noting the condition of the kitchen during breakfast, quite disorganized and messy... Room had considerable street noise.
seemed like a private lodging
- room was small for three - paying for WiFi
Location in the centre of historic area couldn't be beaten. The staff were friendly and very helpful, giving me great suggestions on places to eat in the evening, when I said I was only in the city one night, so informed me politely about their restaurant, without the hard sell.
Outside and entrance could be improved for looks and impression.
great location. clean, quiet hotel. friendly staff. Nice free breakfast, terrace with nice view of Florence.
Wifi was not free. It was 10 Euro per day, or discounted if you purchased for 3+ days. That's expensive Wifi when other hotels and even restaurants give it for free.
Value is not worth the money per night the wifi is not free The staff is not the most friendly
Very good location of the hotel.
Very friendly and very helpful patient young Lady at the reception when we arrived. Very welcoming. lovely house, several launch terraces to sit outside on different floors. Wonderful Roof terrace with very friendly person serving Dinner and Drinks. View from terrace to Dome cupola Enjoyed our stay in Florence very much thanks to this Hotel. Very close
The mattress is really something to complain about. the bed was really uncomfortable and calls for replacement breakfast room too crowed, stuff very slow and plates often empty, coffeemachine didn't make coffee because it wasn't refilled in the Patio they have a lot of wonderful plants which are being watered early in the morning and late at night (noisy like a waterfall). otherwise quiet
The room is very cozy and the bathroom is a huge surprise. I had to run a bath otherwise I felt I wasted the facility. Breakfast is included in the price and the buffet is fine. Staff was helpful. Location is the best, only hundred meters to the Dom and 50 meters to David the naked statue.
Wifi is not free. Why not raise the price and make wifi free. The total cost will be the same but clients will feel happier.
Service and location
Location! Walking distance to everything you would want to see or do in Florence. The rooftop restaurant/bar has a wonderful view of the Dome and the bells rang every evening. The bar staff were so friendly and welcoming.
Upon arrival there was a gentleman sitting at the desk where a lady checked our reservation. He never looked up or spoke. Rude by any standard. Check out not much better. Another gentleman was very short and not friendly. Never said thank you or ask if we enjoyed our stay. Leaving the key at the desk when we went out as this turned the air conditioning off. This was the only hotel that required this during our travels in France and Italy. The only reason for the recommend is Location!
Staff co-operation and nice ambience + the roof bar.
Room were a bit small.
Cost of wifi Shower didn't drain Shower head came off Beds were awful
Nice staff and location
I found cockroaches in my room
Excellent breakfast. Very nice rooftop bar with view of the Duomo dome
Ecxessive charge for WiFi. Very small TV screen
Location, bathroom, rooftop terrasse
18 euro wifi, weak range of wifi, uncomfortable beds and pillows, not soundproof rooms, tv barely works
Perfectly-located between the Duomo and Accademia. Staff was helpful. The lobby smelled like lavender.
Location able to walk to all attractions. the female staff was very friendly while checking in. Price resonable for loacation....
Room was a little small to accomadate four adults. Male staff wasnt as friendly as the female staff was night before. Male who checked us out seemed we were bothering him.
The different entrance after 12am. It often took 10-15 minutes for someone to answer the door.
the female receptionist on arrival was very pleasant and welcoming; the other staff were sullen at best! The location is great, the Duomo is at te end of the street. Garage Parking next door
Breakfast was poor even by Italian standards. wifi is extra charge (expensive), so the the safe in the room. Disappointing given the price and it's supposed to be 4 start. You would be able to do better
The hotel is situated in a silent street very close to the main attractions, thus it is an ideal basis for discovering Firenze. The bathroom is small but looks good. The breakfast (I mean the selection) is fine.
Frankly speaking this hotel is rather at 3 star level, not 4. Nothing is very bad, but nothing is outstanding. It is too big to be friendly, there are too many guests and not enough staff member at breakfast time. Parking is possible in the hotel's parking lot, but it is expensive and the car is moved by the staff to a distant (unknown) location.
Breakfast worst so far in Europe
The hotel was very central and the car park next door very convenient
The room was quite small for 4 people but I guess not surprising for such a great location
