Mount Eliza
Hotel Calypso is sure to leave you with happy memories. Set just a 10 minute walk from the station and the ruins, this small hotel is renowned for its friendly, relaxed atmosphere. A little oasis of peace and quiet in Pompei's historic center, Hotel Calypso has its own orange and lemon groves. Relax with a drink here in the summer before crossing the road to go for pizza. Stop for a chat in Hotel Calypso's bar and breakfast room, where you can admire the pretty pictures and antique furniture and browse the books on show. There is also an internet point with fax and photocopy service here which you can use. Rooms here are simply decorated and comfortable, with air conditioning. Some have their own balconies. Hotel Calypso's owners, always ready to help, are typical of this welcoming town. Whether you're looking for a good local restaurant or want to go visit Vesuvius or Naples, they couldn't be more willing to help you out. Hotel Rooms: 10

Comfortable, clean and quiet hotel. Warm and friendly atmosphere and very obliging staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Central location with a 10 minute walk to the ruins of Pompeii. Good value for money.

The owners/staff were very nice and helpful. It was a small, homey kind of hotel and it had on site parking and it felt safe. It was fairly well located to the ruins, about a 10 min walk to the North entrance, 20 mins to the South main entrance. The breakfast was very nice and is in a funky little downstairs room which is kind of like a little museum of collectibles and interesting knickknacks. The room is spartan, the AC is weak to nonexistent (what is it about Italian AC they just can't cool a room down), the towels are thin little rags, and the room has no view. But, it's a typical Italian budget hotel so we should be used to that. The shower stall was smaller than usual though, very tight. It was also located a little further than I expected. But, in short, it was cheap, clean, and safe.

Wonderful staff and gave excellent info. Great position for Pompei site and amenities, especially the brilliant fruit, cheese and bakery shops nearby. Easy to find using Google directions. Very secure parking. Very good breakfast if you like sweet things, otherwise ok. Typical crazy Italian shower arrangement designed for contortionist midgets, otherwise all worked well. No complaints, but bed was on the harder side. She didn't like so much, he did very much. As happens...

The staff was very attentive to my breakfast needs! They were great about knowing the area and thus recommending restaurants. I would for future get off at the pompeii scavi station and walk keeping to the left (even thought signs say to the right at the split) its faster! I would stay again!!!

The staff were very friendly and courteous, the rooms were clean & we enjoyed ourselves Noisy overnight, someone turned TV on over both the two nights we were there and it disturbed our sleep. Noisy in the mornings as well, but otherwise all good..
