Camping Village Il Poggetto offers a variety of accommodations in the Tuscan countryside, 9 miles outside Florence. It features swimming pools for adults and children, a playground and gym. You have a choice of rooms, apartments, bungalows and mobile homes. Each one has a view of the grounds and its own bathroom. Some have a kitchenette and patio with a table and chairs. Il Poggetto Camping Village has shuttles that connect guests to all areas of the property. The swimming pool is open between May and September and features sun umbrellas and lounge chairs. There are grills throughout the grounds, shops and a mini market. The restaurant serves Tuscan specialties and is open for lunch and dinner. Snacks, sandwiches and hot dishes are available from the bar which is open all day until 2 am. There is also a business room, piano bar and free parking lot. Entertainment is organized in July and August. In Troghi, the property is half a mile from Lake I Pioppi. Guests have discounts at a local horseback riding stable and Golf dell'Ugolino Club is a 20 minute drive away. It was close to Florence and gave a nice view on the Tuscan hills. The staff is nice but most of them does not speak a good Italian which is a bit wierd since this place is located in Italy. The shop has a nice variation of goods so someone can buy traditional, local food and also some other food. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was very small. The bathroom also. It was not so clean either. For one night it is ok. One thing we did like about this place that the music in the bar was very noisy even at late.

A family place about 15km from Florence. There is a bus to florence right outside which is very convenient.They have a good restaurant.

Location was good. Swimming pool was lovely especially as we joined in with the aqua-aerobics. The restaurant was also nice. The cabin was cramped and not very clean. No towels, soap or anything for the guest. We didn't realise until we arrived at the pool that it was compulsory to wear a swimming cap and without it you were not allowed in the pool but can be bought for 1.5 euros in the bar.

A nice quiet place to stay not too far from Florence as long as you have a car. A cabin was very basic but it is all we needed at the time. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The amenities are very clean, the market is reasonably well stocked. It is a little bit hard to find but well worth the effort if you don't want to stay in the city.

het restaurant, een leuk bungalowtje, ideale plek om dat deel van Toscane te verkennen en niet te vergeten een fijn zwembad het (bij)betalen van de airco; en 20,- euro moeten betalen voor een week WiFi en dan geen of nauwelijks verbinding hebben

-la piscina molto curata e ben tenuta (attenzione c'è l'obbligo della cuffia) - la tranquillità del posto e la comodità per raggiungere firenze in pullman - bene il ristorante nel campeggio (anche se poca cucina tipica) il bungalow economy è senza aria condizionata ne tavolino, non dimenticare che si è in un campeggio quindi i servizi non possono essere pari a un htl

La posizione é privilegiata, le colline toscane sono stupende e a pochi passi si raggiunge il centro di Firenze in autobus. Il campeggio é tranquillo. Forse la qualitá dei letti potrebbe essere migliorata.

Dit is geen hotel maar een trekkershut. We troffen het niet met het weer waardoor het zwembad nog was gesloten. Er waren geen handdoeken. De douche was erg klein. Geen kast in de hut om iets op te bergen, of haakjes aan de muur om iets op te hangen. Erg kleine ruimte, met één stoel.

A gentileza dos funcionários e do Sr Marcelo, gerente na recepção; a qualidade muito boa das refeiçoes do restorante, a excelente piscina e o ambiente agradavel do camping em si, que é bem cuidado, e com facilidades de infraestrutura.

Het zwembad De accommodatie. Het bleek een halve caravanunit te zijn. Klein als je liep wiebelde de hele unit, dus ook als de buren liepen wiebelde het bij ons. De airconditioning was alleen tegen betaling te gebruiken. De camping was hoger gelegen en onderlangs liep de autostrada wat toch minder rustig was.
