The Generator Venice lies on the shores of Giudecca Island, with views of Saint Mark's Square in the distance. It is a 10-minute ride by water bus to Venice Island with lines 4.1, 4.2 and 2.

the room price is cheap
the room is very cold & bedroom's door is broken ><
This camping is very good and cheap. The breakfast was good and the waiter was kind and helpful. The camping had a laundry room, which got very useful. The room was small, but it was enough. There a bus-stop 10 minutes away and the bus stops every 20 min, so its not so far from the city.
The nightguard was disrespectful and rude. We tried to explain to him an issue and he wouldnt let us talk. One of the receptionist was unpolite too, and she showed an amazing lack of professionalism, when we were trying to solve that same issue. It turn out that the mistake was theirs, and instead of apologizing correctly, she looked disgruntled and kept making excuses out. The rest of the recepcionists were different. The supermarket was shut down.
Very close to Venice Very close to stores
No playground for kids No onsite store - it was closed
cheap, good restaurant, close enough to Venice
No shop on site from October. Cabin shakes when next door neighbours walk
The place is clean and worth every penny.. I was skeptical about the place initially and then when entered the room was happy about it. This place is best suited during Summer... For Bagpakers I guess this will heaven..
The Location of the Camp is far... There are no buses stops close to the camp.. The restaurant is average as well... This is my personal opinion..
Quite close to the train station, 30mins on foot, lovely wee place to crash and travel around or visit Venice
No dislikes, excellent wee room for the money
I had no bed linen for my daughter. We had no heating, it was October and we froze all night, but we arrived late and left early, so had no time to go back and complain again. Which was a shame because the little pods were really sweet and homely
everything...... really had a great & enjoyable vacation. Will definitely book this place again.
The good thing is that it's 10 minutes to Venice by car if you don't want to pay a lot in a hotel inside Venice...
No hot water.
10 min walk to the bus station and from there 20 min bus ride to venice (1,30€) made it good value for money. Size of the cabin was sufficient and it was good to have an own bathroom. Prices in the supermarket were reasonable compared to Venice.
When entering we found several strands of what looked like pubic hair on the mattress. The bungalows are built on stilts which makes them shake whenever the neighbour walks through the room. Still, when we were tired, it didn't bother us too much. However on two nights out of five there was loud music in the camping site bar and drunk backpackers raged outside the cabins. Quite annoying.
Food was good and very budget friendly. Positively surprised by the quality.
Heating didn't work, nights in the bungalow were cold. Also, no television. Shower pressure was good, however, it switched from cold to warm water multiple times during showering.
Nice and comfortable cabins.
Wifi didn't work. Lots of noise early in the morning. Far away of buss station to Venice.
Laundry and pool on site (pool to be use in summer days).
Too far from train station, airport and places of interest. Laundry facilities too expensive, appx 10.00 dollars ( 8 euros) for one load of clothes. (Wash and dry).
Very good staff , cheap , clean
The public transportations far from the hotel , the shuttle bus not available all the day
Great value for money - cheap and cheerful option to see Venice. Nice local pizzerias nearby. Really friendly staff and overall camping facilities. Nice vibe of young and happy people around . Great option for bigger groups.
The camping option won't guarantee you the best comfort during autumn season. It got pretty cold at night. We stayed in the mobile home close to the main street so it was pretty noisy.
There was a swimming pool however it was closed at the time of year we were there. Good wifi which actually reached the cabins!
The first cabin we were allocated just absolutely stunk of cigarettes or body odor or something so we asked to be moved. The second cabin smelt almost as bad but I think it was a result of the blocked drains which didn't allow for a very long shower. So many things were broken. There was no fly screen on this cabin, the basin didn't have hot water unless the shower was on at the same time, the shower head holder had broken from the wall so you had to hold it. Most annoying of all though was the fact that the power points had a stupid spring in them which meant that you had to hold the phone charger into the socket or it would eject itself. Absolutely impossible to use the ones by the bed which were upside down. We tried different chargers and adaptors but nothing would work. Staff pretend the problem doesn't exist and offer no solution.
Toilet could not flush.
Shuttle bus operates fews during Fri-Sun. Shuttle bus timetable should be given on the overall detail page so that the tourist can set their plans if they are able to take the shuttle bus or not because the tronchetto where the shuttle bus parks is far away from venice. Unless timetable checked, you might wait at the tronchetto a very long time especially, on Fri- Sun only late pm. operated.
- It's too cold in the night to sleep. No heating system. - Far from bus station.
Our little cabin was brilliant. Plenty of privacy, and a great shower. The food at the bar/restaurant was good, and the shuttle into Venice was very handy.
Staff were very busy and unfortunately when our key would not work it took 3 trips to reception to get it sorted.
Camping Jolly exceeded my expectation. It was very clean and easily accessible to Venice. 20mins tops if you get the bus right on time. I felt safe around there and the locals were friendly to Tourist. The room we had was comfortable and clean. Food isn't so great but hey your in venice why not get authentic food!
Room isn't cleaned till you leave, so if you plan on staying longer you may want to fact this in. The staff can be a bit grumpy at times. I wont complain too much about it but they tend to pick on the littliest thing such as the water machine! Overall Camping jolly is Fantastic.
The best value for money I ever got.
Its is very good to place to stay, clam and cool, surrounded by Tree, with good quality of swimming pool, moreover inside we have disco (kind of) plus restaurant, super market . Good for value ofcourse. There is shuttle service for venice in 5 euro, Even kitchen is also there, we stay with 4 ppl , we got independent villa , where we can enjoy peacefully , Love this place.
