-Pool & hot tubs just for looks. The hot tubs were freezing cold,
and the minute we got in the pool to swim, we were told we had to get
out because "there was no lifeguard on duty." No where does it
say there must be a lifeguard to swim, and it's a four ft pool! No
grown adults are in danger in there.
-"Nightclub" wayyyyy overpriced (selling a €6 glass of Spritz when you can get an entire liter of it from the store for €4), and they played horrible, overused pop music way too loud to even stay inside. Get a new DJ, seriously.
-AC hardly worked. Had someone come look at it, and uh, changed absolutely nothing. Very hot inside.
-Wasp nest on top of our cabin. Made opening the window, in a desperate attempt to cool down the cabin, a bit frightening when one would slip in.
-You literally can feel EVERY step your neighbor takes. It's like a constant, low earthquake. Just hope you have no one next to you, or that your neighbors are polite.
-Shower (no showerhead holder) went from hot to cold, no middle ground. Simple fix for this is to run the sink on hot at the same time you shower -- for whatever reason, doing that made it even out and we had a nice shower. :)
-Toilet seat completely broken. As in, someone bought the wrong sized toilet lid and was too lazy to buy the correct one, so they just set the mismatched lid on there and called it good. Made trying to use the toilet a balancing adventure.
-Market never open.
-In a nice, quiet neighborhood. -One mile walk from bus to Venice &
large grocery store. -Our cabin had a picnic table which was great to
use, but not many others did, so be warned! -Free Wifi worked okay, we
got it in our cabin and it wasn't too slow but did disconnect when
too many people were on it.
Overall, even though it's still overpriced by a long shot for what you get, it's a steal for the crazy prices in Venice. Just don't go there thinking you're walking into some fancy resort. It's a shady, run-down place so just use it as a place to sleep and shower.
Also, don't bother paying for the bus to Venice. No one does. Just hop on the middle section, like all the locals do, and spend that €5 on pizza from the cute little place down the road.
