The hospitality of the restaurant staff, the pool the location.
Beautiful surroundings and good food.
The room was not cleaned every day and we had to remind the staff to change our towels several times. The water in the swimming pool was very cold and wi-fi connection was poor.
Air conditioning a life saver in chalet
Pretty good stay. Quite easy to commute into Rome Central. Supermarket right across the road. Supermarket right on campus also. Quite swell
Price for laundry.
Poor wifi connectivity
Roma was very clean and paved throughout unlike Fabulous which was gravel and dusty. The shuttle bus was good as was the washing facilities. Close proximity to Roma center and shuttle to same helpful. Supermarket across carriageway excellent. Great for couples and older families.
No fridge in Bungalow nor any notice of same when booking. The pool was small and not suited for small children. Fabulous pool far better and safer, with vinyl lining. Mattresses thin and not very comfortable. Wi if very patchy and none existent any more then 100 meters from the reception. No children's entertainment at night, which Fabulous has. Overall I would not recommend to families unless kids teenagers. Fabulous has more to offer for this group.
The location was too far
This is 3rd time staying here. I really love to having my time here. It is a bit outside of Rome but you need just a one bus. Recommended for backpackers, interrailers, young, campers in summer time!
location, facilities, friendly staff!
The bungalow we stayed at had been recently painted and it was not aired our properly! we spent the entire night smelling paint
Loved the stay there, great pool!!
The noise pollution
Great place, close to the Vatikan (shuttle bus organized by Camping).
Swimming pool to crowded for the small kinds.
Loved the accommodation, value for money, great place for an only child to meet other kids.
Could not find anything I disliked though when booking it appeared as though I would be charged on arrival when in fact I was charged immediately which was misleading.
This is a no frills budget place to stay to go and visit Rome. It is not the place to stay if you want to step out of your door and be in the centre of Rome. The Chalet has two bedrooms each with own shower/wc. There is air conditioning and a veranda. Although fairly basic we found the accommodation comfortable. There is the added advantage of a swimming pool.
Can be noisy with lots of group travellers; many coach parties such as TopDeck. The foot bridge is out of action and does not look likely to be reopened anytime soon. It would be advisable for the park operator to make this clear as it did mean walking along the edge of the equivalent of the North Circular every time we needed to catch the bus to the metro or visit the large supermarket across the road. However on the latter please note that a shuttle service was brought into action later in our stay.
Verry nice staff. Good camping , clean and comfortable.
Check-in was slowwwwwwww :)
The restaurant at dinner was good, the cabin we used was clean and the air conditioning worked well, we liked having laundry facilities
The free wifi wouldn't work for our entire stay, one night people were partying, drunk, screaming, and crying near us until 4 am, we got no sleep that night, the next it was peaceful, depends on who is near you! The shuttle to the city drops you a mile away from the Vatican and if you purchase the tours from the camping village you spend most of your time walking to get to exchange the receipts for tickets
We had a bungalow complete with beds, electricity and bedding. Private bathroom with shower are a definite plus. And pricewise, still cheaper than dragging all camping gear around. Of course...this will all depend on the campers surrounding you....a lot of graduating high school groups.
We were in a bungalow right by the bus parking area. It was nice because there were less noisy neighbors but you do get a lot of late night and early morning bus arrivals with groups...all dragging luggage with wheels across the pavement. Not a huge problem for us as we wanted to be up early for sightseeing but avoid this area if you want to sleep in and relax. The 6 am calisthenics and game of tag from the students was a little over the top on a Thursday morning tho.
Nothing to comment
Staff at Ciao Bella restaurant at the camping village had very good customer service. The atmosphere was very clean and welcoming. The prices were also good.
One female staff at the info point was rude. She did not provide with information I needed and was pushing me to hurry up stating there is cue.
Location, atmosphere poolside, food in restaurant, shop well-stocked, staff mostly very friendly.
Pool was freezing; most annoying was the 11pm quiet time was not adhered to by large groups of young travellers (chanting, running round till 2.30 am on 2 nights) & no-one seemed to do anything about it. A real minus point for this otherwise great place.
-Ambience was nice -Value for money -Not far from city
-No hot water in room despite many requests -Were not told in advance that towels and bed-sheets will be replaced every 5 days and not each day
noisy young ones in the middle of the night. there should be a curfew.
Cleanliness and facilities
Locks on our cards and no fridge
Not very expensive. Restaurant and breakfast around. Swimming pool and information desk are great.
Shared picknick tables with the neighbours. Sometimes the shower gets cold, while having a shower.
