Camping Village Roma

The chalet was more comfortable than it looked at the first sight. Because there are 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms it guarantees sufficient privacy. The building is also slightly isolated from the external noise. Very good facilities at the camping. Very good quality of transport services to and from the airport. Very good pizzas.

Distant location. Despite being only 3km from Vatican it takes ages to get there due to the heavy traffic. The last camping shuttle departs at 18.30 from Vatican which is far too early. The train station is at 1.5km from the camping, a bit too far for a walk, and no pavements, but you can park your car in front for free. Anyway train trip combined with metro takes over 1hr to the main monuments.

Location is good. Price is good. the chalet is spacious but.......

As said...chalet is spacious but if you book bunglow then be careful... because this buglow will not have kitchen... Can u imagine a bunglow w/o kitchen? Internet is very bad. You have to be lucky to get few KB connection for few minutes.

We stayed in a chalet, it was comfortable and good value for money. Equipped kitchen was helpful for us, as we travelled with our little kid. We had our car, so not sure about public transportation facilities from the hotel to places in Rome.

Cabins had everything you.

just be careful if you are trying to from the camp to the subway on a sunday, as the public transport is much less frequent.

Was exactly as described, cheap & cheerful, but really aimed at campers. Fine otherwise

Cost of shuttle to Ciampino airport. It was the same as a taxi without having to go via the other airport first!

Very near to bus stop, which takes you to Vatican and Metro. Green place inside Rome. Good restaurant. Good supermarket across the street.

WiFi coverage was poor inside the bungalow.

Very friendly staff and good facilities with supermarket, restaurant and cheap bus (3 Euro return) to the city

Lots of bus groups = noisy nights, but we might just have been unlucky to be near a particularly late/noisy cabin. If you book a "bungalow" instead of a "chalet" there is no cooking facilities and they are very small.

What you pay is what you get!

* The wodden houses with less weights andcompact *Price offerred is reasonably well within limit * Away from city life on a hill top, but with all city life aided fcilities. * Possible to reach any part of city for sight seeing in reasonably less time.

* Late comers coming during night making lot of noise and disturbing those who were already resting for the day * Rooms are too tiny with very little space to move around The cots are making lots of noise

good connection by bus, parking, nice chalet and bungalows, very friendly staff

a problem with the hot water, but they quickly find a solution.

Exactly as advertised - you get what you pay for.

Extremely poor public bus transport to the City on Sundays and holidays - but that's up to ATAC Rome, not Camping Village Roma (they provide shuttle service).

An ideal place for a family holiday. It is unfortunate that we were in Rome just two days. Far away from the center but close to the Vatican. I recommend;)

Good idea, nice place

1. On site there was an information that swimming pool is working since April. But at 01 of May it was clised. I has been explained that it's cold. Plus 20 c - is cold??? In this case it could be set a temperature since which the pool is opened - not a month! 2. A lot of stupied teenagers lauding during a night

worst hotel I have ever seen......staff is very poor.. very very small room.... not good with the family

Well, it was a bungalow in a camping site, but was clean and comfortable. Food and restaurant staff both excellent, considering it was a camping site. Easy transport into Rome from the gate, and easy to get at from the round-Rome Autostrada, so no city driving needed. Car safe at the site all day and night.

The location of the camp site was great as we were only about 10mins drive from the city centre and the site offers a shuttle bus to and from there to the city centre for only 3euros each.

Altough the prices in the restaurant were reasonable unfortunately the quality of the food was very disappointing. Due to trying to save some money on accomodation we booked for one of the low budget apartments, I would not recommend this if you are holidaying as a couple as it is single beds and also if you plan to stay mainly on site this accommodation doesn't have any kitchen facilities.

Friendly staff and the bungalows were clean and had everything you need. It is on a bus route and quite easy to get to downtown Rome.

Bungalows are smaller then the pictures portray and I can imagine if the campground was full it would be very noise.

Was given a disabled bungalow Too much Noise sometimes until 3am Too many children running around, a separate area for older people would make sense. The Vatican shuttle never turned up for return journey ,left us standing in the rain for over 1 hour, returned by metro and bus

Good location-not more than 30 minutes away from the city center(246 bus to Cornelia and then metro to everywhere in the city),excelent restaurant and good prices,money atm and tickets machine in te camping very usefull,very helpful staff, free internet avalaible,shuttle bus to Vatican(from where you can walk all the city or take metro and busses) with only 3euro including the return,hot water all day and night,good air condition in the bungallow,bus station right in front of the camping an two supermarkets(one inside the camping and one very near) perfect value for money!

There was no tv and no refrigerator as was mentioned at the bungalow we booked,it was quite small,be aware at the bus to the camping (246 or 247) beause there are thiefts who are pickpocketing

The staff was very friendly and helpful and we were pleased with how clean the bungalow and the whole site was. There is a very good supermarket on site and the restaurant was good value for money. Nice, friendly and efficient staff in the restaurant too.

Be aware that the site accommodates many tour groups, such as Topdecks, which meant it was quite noisy late at night. The local buses are very rare on Sunday!

Loved it! Very easy to get into Rome with the trains and bus station right outside the camp. Good food, staff was great! Very friendly!

Laundry was expensive, some washers and dryers didn't work.

great location and the fact that there was a return mini bus to the vatican city....we used it twice. Good cheap food in the restaurant. Clean..cheap and cheerful

very basic but you get what you pay for.

Very bad & bored staff, they care just about money. No WiFi (does not work), very small rooms (not able to open the luggage in the room), I will suggest to not book here only if you need just to sleep for a few hours.

Should arrange more bus to nearby metrol.
