Score from 84 reviews Wonderful
In the heart of Venice, Hotel Da Bruno is halfway between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. All rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 845 reviews Very good
Hotel Lisbona is just 100 yards from Saint Mark's Square, and the closest water bus station is Vallaresso. Rooms are decorated with furniture and fabrics reminiscent of 18th-century Venetian style.
Score from 724 reviews Very good
Just a 5-minute walk from the Rialto Bridge, Centauro Hotel is in a 16th century building, 1500 ft from St. Mark's Square. All elegant rooms have satellite TV and a private bathroom.
Score from 575 reviews Very good
........if you want the best location in Venice that is quiet, with modest but very comfortable accommodation and very welcoming staff. We will definitely return.
Location very close to Rialto bridge and to St Mark square, easy to find
pillow and hard bed
Staff was friendly. Great location. Breakfast was very good . Shower had great water pressure. The room had marble floors was very clean and neat. Great fluffy towels and toiletries provided . Excellent choice for the price point. Air conditioning was good
No elevator but we were only one short flight upstairs so no problem for us. Hair dryer on the weak side for air flow.
Great location, close to all highlights, but on a quieter side street. Lovely little piazza just around the corner with a great Osteria. Breakfast was fine, the basic Italian fair. Place to store luggage after checking out.
Breakfast was great and staff was friendly. Wi-fi included in the room.
Power went out on the morning of my friend's wedding - that was a nightmare! Room was very small, shower was tiny.
last century décor style, good location close to rialto bridge, good bath facilities
The location was great ,5-7 minute walk to Grand Canal. The price was very reasonable compare to anything else we looked at... We needed just a clean, safe place to stay and we were booking all of our hotels the same day of arrival from our phones through out our whole trip in Italy. Definitely was a great choice for us!
Nothing really, considering the price...
Amazing location :) Right in the heart of venice which makes it easy to find (just follow the signs to san marco or real).. after the challenge of locating it the first time. Staff and facilities were fine, but dont expect a huge room. Perfect for our 18 hour stop in Venice.
Heaps of hotel rooms in Europe have a peculiar smell - soap or washing powder.
Man at desk very unhelpful in regards to finding transport. Very arogent mabe that's the culture I'm no sure....wouldn't go back
For Venice this hotel is great the staff were always helpful and courteous. The breakfast sufficient and topped up all the time. Rooms can be a little noisy when people showering early etc but that is fine. Easy to get to catch the ferry from the station and 4 mins and u will be at hotel disembarking at the Rialto bridge.
Bit noisy at times from other rooms but that was all. That's Venice!
Hotel Canaletto is in a very central location and is very good value for money with friendly helpful staff.
Would have liked a lift.
We loved the friendly and helpful staff and the warm reception we got. Our rooms were great, since who remains in the rooms when you've Venice to explore. Great that we could leave our luggage there before going to the harbour for our cruise. B/fast - great. Free Wi-fi - bonus Thank you for a super stay although to short.
We didn't like having to leave to soon and come back home.
Whilst initially finfing the hotel hard to find, once we had received more detailed street directions we found it easy to get out and about and more importantly find our way back. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and more than adequate and the breakfast was sufficiently filling.
right in the "heart" of Venice, Handy location between Rialto Bridge and St Marks. Very pleasant helpful and polite Staff. All spoke wonderful English and were full of useful information and advice. free Wi fi.Quiet.....away from main streets.
Bit hard to find first time. Very hard bed and only one pillow per person.
The location of the hotel is very good between Rialto and St Marcs square. Rooms have nice venetian style furnitures. Breakfast was sufficient versatile.
The hotel is not very easy to find but the instructions are good.
I thought it was a great place to spend a few days in Venice. Great location; staff very helpful; room clean and comfortable.
As most places in Venice - can be hard to find.
The location was great close to Rialto and San Marco, staff was friendly and helpful, rooms clean and great breakfast
Wasn't the easiest place to find but once you know the route it's easy to reach and close to the major locations. Pillows were hard rock
The proximity to many sights, the extra discount for meals, the lovely coffees and hot chocolate drinks any time. The friendly staff. Bathrooms were very clean.
Having to carry cases up the stairs, having to get cases over bridges to reach the hotel, not very clear instructions in how to reach the hotel . We took several wrong turns lugging our cases back and forth.
Location great but a little difficult to find at first. Good breakfast selection. Very comfortable although our pillows were very thin. Air conditioning worked well which was needed. Sky TV which was great for catching up with home news.
Our room was a superior with supposedly a courtyard view but the window opened up onto a tight alley with no views at all.
excellent location; quiet; friendly and helpful English-speaking personnel
Some eggs for breakfast would be a nice extra; but basic breakfast is quite OK
Staff were helpful and it's a good location. Breakfast was average.
Claustrophobic feeling to the room, no window but there was a door you could open onto a flat roof. Bed was uncomfortable. Felt like being under sea level on a boat. Not a pleasant stay, but from what I hear this is normal for Venice.
Once we navigated our way the first time, it became easier to get our bearings. Venice wouldn't be Venice if you don't get lost!the interior decor was amazing, not that we spent much time in the bedroom. Staff were most accommodating as we left luggage there when we went on a cruise.
The room we had on our return visit was a lot smaller and cost more.
The tiny room was adequate and quite cozy but the best deal for a clean and quiet stop to explore the area. Marco was fun and helpful, always.
It was hard to find, even with the directions, so perhaps there is a way to give more detailed directions. I did not like that the night manager was not a happy man, but I understand that night shift is difficult. The computer is not available all night & that would have been nice to have for those who are having to adjust to new hours of sleep.
- in the centre of Venice near the sights but very crowded -very 'Venetian, feel to the room - wifi was adequate strength but didn't always connect
- furniture in room, especially mattress, is old - breakfast had limited choices, quality wasn't great
