The room was very clean and towels were changed daily, the staff and owner were very nice, friendly and helpful. loved the sound of the boats under our window in the morning, made me feel part of the city. It is in the centre and made it easy to pop in and out to put bags of stuff that we had bought, back in our room. Worth the money I spent and more..
I have no complaints.
1. Nice personal. 2. Big, comfort and warm room. 3. Cleaning every day. 4. Big breakfast for low price. 5 euro for table full of corn flakes, muesli, ham, bread, butter, jam, coffe, hot chocolate and baking. 5. Good location. 1 station from the Train Station, close to the San. Marco square. 6. Incredibly beautiful window view.
1. Poor sound insulation: have heard how our neighbors had sex. Not critical for us but for those who are a light sleeper can be a problem.
the location was excellent, the hotel although very basic was clean, The staff were very helpful and friendly. one of the cheapest in Venice.
The tv is only in Italian.
-Strategic position in the heart of venice -Friendly staff -very fair price being in Venice, where everything is hugely expensive even for low quality service -except for the carpet, the room was clean
-not really clean carpet. It was everywhere, even on the door -king size bed was composed by two different mattress, kind of annoying -no wifi in room
Value for money.
Very slow wifi. No connection in the room. Poor bed with rough blanket.
Nice staffs and the location was good. The room is big enough for 3 people and the bathroom also good.
So noisy outside. And need to go to the living room for the wifi.
Location is perfect - between St.Marco and Rialto. Staff was very friendly and helful. We had a double room with canan view, which was great for the money we paid. Double room #30 has Wi-Fi inside. Seems that the connection is not available in all rooms, because there were lot's of people in the corridor browsing.
The hotel is a bit shabby, but clean. The shower cabin is small, "big" people might face problems. There is no city map at the reception. Wi-Fi is not available in all rooms.
Location, the fact we got a room with a balcony and canal view. The staff were fantastic.
The room was pretty cold and the Wi-Fi situation should be improved upon.
Excellent location and very easy to find and walk to from the river bus. Allowed for great sojourns around Venice. Nice management, secure, good and cost effective breakfast
It is very well located, they clean your room every morning, the hosts are really nice, the rooms are quite big... It is all incredibly amazing for this price!
The only "negative" thing is that the wifi is officially only available in the common area, although it does reach more or less half of the rooms
Very uncomfortable bed, the mattress needs to be upgraded. No coffee making facility in the room.
We got a room with a balcony facing the river. And the traffic outside wasn't busy, very good view from our room.
Heaters were not warm enough, so was water for shower.
location excellent, very clean, nice staff, great xmas decorations, good value for money buffet breakfast (5 euros per person), friendly staff
Room was quite big Everything really clean
Noise from boats outside early in the morning (it's only bad if you're a light sleeper like me)
Rooms to noisy Wifi not working Carpet dirty
The location was great. Facilities were very clean. Staff was friendly & kind
location close to Per Rialto and Saint Marco
no kettle and beverages facility in the room.
The hotel room was spacious and had it's own balcony - also had a sink in the room ideal for washing clothes etc. The bed was really comfy and I had a good sleep in it compared to others I have stayed at. There was one of the staff at night he was always there and made my stay much better and made the effort to speak English and have a conversation with me at night and even remembered my name! All in all I enjoyed my stay here.
If there's anything I could fault and it's not the hotels fault it would be the tons of pigeons at the entrance of the hotel. Also it was a little hard to find being down a few side streets.
Why it has only one star is beyond me. Superb location close to the Rialto Bridge and San Marco Plaza. We had a good size room with doors and balcony over the canal which was soooo Venice, and a comfy large double bed. Our private bathroom with shower was not exactly spacious but more than adequate. The staff were helpful and considerate....all said, a really great deal!
If you want to be picky, the water taxis, gondolas and delivery boats that pass by under your window are not exactly silent but hey, what atmosphere!
We stayed here during our honeymoon. The staff is wonderful and the location is amazing. The place is really sweet and we had a wonderful canal view from our window. We had to ask for more pillows and blankets as both were very thin but other than that we really enjoyed our stay!
Clean easy to find
Beds, staff who seemed uninterested in helping us with directions wi fi not working,
Excellent location, fantastic price, helpful and welcoming staff: all this contributed to our wonderful stay.
There is nothing to complain about at all, Caneva is an excellent choice! We will certainly return next time we come to Venice.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are very clean and, because the hotel is away from thoroughfares, there is very little noise.
Cheap price for the location in the centre of Venice and the rooms have a nice view on a canal. Breakfast is ok for 5 euro.
The hotel is very dated. There are dead mosquitoes smashed all over the walls and the carpet is dirty. At weekend nights there is a lot of noise from the taxi-boats passing by on the canal. This made it very hard to sleep. The lady at the reception speaks only italian. Wifi is available but only at a corner of the halway..
Amazing location and an excellent price. Receptionist was nice though didn't speak English. Big room with nice view of a canal.
Needs renovation. Old, smells wet in the room. Staff doesn't speak English.
