The staff at the reception both on check in and check out were fantastic. Very helpful, polite, and acommodating. Because we had our 4 year-old boy with us she gave us a bigger room with extra bed with no extra charge. I also loved our breakfast. The coffee was really good!!
One of the staff in the restaurant (during our breakfast) was not very friendly. She would not even smile and would really want us to hand in first the meal ticket before starting to eat.
Located within a 10 min walk from the city cetnre, this BB has small but very cosy and clean rooms. Mine had a terrace overlooking the city (which was in fact almost the size of the room). So ask for a room with a terrace!
Breakfast was quite modest
good room and good location
the elevator was too small and not really suitable for the size of the hotel
Staff was very patient in helping me get a boarding pass for a Ryan Air flight. Great Breakfast buffet.
located near the city center, friendly and helpful staff
small room, walls very thin. no parking facility. bf not included
There was no arrangement for the bed tea. No coffee m/c or tea cattle in room.
Having never been to Italy I booked this Hotel believing it was "City Centre"! Walking with my luggage in the pouring rain for 45 minutes to outside City centre to this location - not a good experience!
I've had a problem with this hotel. They took from me payment for a room twice - when I booked a room (11.06.2014) and when I came to the hotel (1.09.2014). When I understood this I tried to receive a refund. But I cannot get the refund till now. Hotel management are pretending that they cannot make a bank transfer despite the fact that I gave them all bank account information.
Near the City center, balcony room.
Location to old town excellent. Staff really helpful - i made a mistake with booking and had booked for following day rather than arrival day. There was availablilty still luckily and Valeria at check in changed booking over with no hassle, same tariff and no charge.
All hotels need ironing facilities, even if you don't have an iron and board in every room, have a couple at reception for guests to use or have an ironing closet.
Good location just 20 minutes walking to the center. Good and affordable price. Clean sheets and bathroom.
Walk distance all historical building.
Bit far away from the train station.
Wifi was poor at times constantly disconnecting
I thought the staff were helpful and professional. The accommodation was good - I had a view of some of the historical sites from my window which was great. Not that far from all the sites in Florence - walking distance.
It's a little far to walk for those who want to be in very easy access of everything.
My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights August 2014. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the historic centre and also from the piazza san michaelangelo. However the location is really the main positive about it. The hotel is essentially a dormitory rather than a hotel. The room was very basic and although cleaned every day it just felt very tired and worn - we found some nail clippings that weren't ours on the floor! The shower needed a proper screen as water would spill out over the floor and onto the hall carpet. There was nowhere to sit in the room or any other conveniences such as a fridge and the wifi was patchy. The welcome we received was lacking - I don't think we actually had any contact with the hotel staff except for the nice man who worked at night. It was disappointing that we weren't offered a map or any advice about where to visit during our time in Florence. Breakfast is not included in the price which was the exception from the 4 hotels we stayed in during this trip (the other hotels were a similar price - this was actually one of the most expensive). Overall I would say the hotel lacked any service. If you are looking for a budget hotel for one night then this would maybe be suitable but not for any longer.
The location, the ambiance, the value for money all added to our comfort and repose during our stay.
Cannot say much about what we did not like. .
The room was very clean, with nice terrace where u see Florence. Bed was very very comfortable. The hotel is connected to the train station by many bus lines.
The coffee served for breakfast was bad
The room we were given, was quite small, but this was not our main problem. The room was in poor condition. there were signs on the walls of shoes and various other chores. I checked our bed, and on the cover of blankets, I saw blood stains. I explained them that I have phobia with this issue and I asked the front desk to change my room. They gave me a room on the first floor of the building which was even worse. Again there were signs on the walls and in the bathroom there was hair and a broken tile. After spending two days, I asked to give me bed sheets so I can change them, because they informed me that the change was done every three days. In one of the sheets were blood stains again. I complained about the bed sheets once more. I was told that I was the only who made complaints about such matters. This is the reason why I leave a comment at the particular hotel. It was really one of the worst experiences in a hotel and unfortunately ruined holidays.
Nothing! It should be demolished!
Dirty Bedsheets filled with blood stains and arrogant staff! The worst experience ever!
Nice, light and big room, comfy bed. Hotel is in a residential area. Walking from the hotel to the historic centre only takes you 10 minutes or so. Friendly staff at the reception. Nice breakfast for a really good price(6,90€ per person). If arriving by train easiest is to take a taxi to the hotel (€ 16).
everything was great and the receptionist very helpful
breakfast was not very rich
Nice, clean hotel, with modern bedrooms and facilities. It seems that everyone at the reception could speak english well, and they would always help when we needed information. The bathroom was bigger than the ones from different hotels where we stayed in Italy. The location was also good. There was a supermarket nearby, and many restaurants. We could get to the main attractions with a 15 to 20 minutes walk, so we didn't have to spend any money on transportation, except from going to Santa Maria Novella Station, which was only needed because we were carrying our luggage.
The air conditioning system was a bit odd, very different from what we are used to. I don't know if we couldn't work it right or if it just wouldn't cool down the air that much. It did keep the room a little cooler, but it was not nearly as effective as a regular AC. Also, we found that having only one soap disposal at the bathroom for both the shower and the sink was a little annoying, since we had to turn around and go inside the shower every time we wanted to wash our hands, leaving the bathroom wet from the water dripping from our hands. But all in all, it was a great hotel!
Location is really good, 10 minutes from the cathedral. Rooms are big and comfortable.
As per confirmation the breakfast is 6,9 eur but they told us at arrival that we haven't booked it in advance so it is 10,9 eur instead of confirmed price. We did not asked for breakfast finally at this price. Parking is very expensive also, it was 20 eur for 24 hours.
The room was big, clean and comfortable. We had great wifi coverage (for free!) and the view out of our window was really pretty. It's easy to find and they give you a map as soon as you get there- so even if you are horrible with directions, you can still find your way to the hotel. It was quiet at night- we had no problems falling asleep!
Breakfast was not included in the price. The name B&B is a little misleading because you do not actually get breakfast unless you pay for it. It was a little over 10 euro for my husband and I to eat. The woman helping in the breakfast area was not particularly pleasant or helpful, either.
The pictures available online don't reflect the condition of the hotel. Rooms are poorly furnished and stuffy.
