Free Wi-Fi and flat-screen satellite TV are standard in all iQ rooms. This modern hotel offers a free gym, sauna and rooftop terrace, a 5 minute walk from Termini Train Station.
Score from 944 reviews Wonderful
The rooftop terrace, bar and restaurant were wonderful and the service excellent. The lobby bar seemed to be understaffed and operated haphazardly.
The bathrooms are exceptionally small and the air conditioning didn't operate properly.
Very good location and staff is helpful
Food is a little bit basic
Fairly good location not far from Colosseum, Wifi around the hotel and in the rooms, clean decent size rooms.
Disappointing restaurant. Food was OK but for the price and the overall presentation of a modern twist Italian food which actually turned out to be very average fair you could dine elsewhere.
We love the location of the hotel. The terrace bar and restaurant are amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and the beds very comfortable. This is our second time staying at this hotel. I will always recommend Capo d Africa.
Hotel and Staff were excellent and could not do enough excellent food as well couldn't ask for more
Can't think of a negative for this city break or where we stayed
Location and the hotel itself-- room was very comfortable
Staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered too much. Didn't go out of their way to be helpful. Exception: Marco
I stayed here at the recommendation of a friend which I found the place to be in a great location. The staff was friendly and excellent. I would definitely stay there again.
We stayed here recently for our honeymoon- the hotel is in a great location- right by the colosseum. The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful- the rooms are very comfortable and clean and tidy. The hotel has a lovely roof top terrace- perfect for sundowners!! Would definitely stay here again!
Perfect location and the roof top terrace was excellent as meeting point for afternoon drinks. I had taxi and restaurant reservations arranged by the hotel in advance and everything worked out perfectly.
The concierge adviced us to not use taxis as they were way to expensive. We used them anyway and found most trips to cost 10-13 euros which we considered cheap.
Location, Staff, Facilities
From staff at front desk helping with dinner reservations, transportation, tours and many details to the staff that pampered us as they served breakfast and to the staff that took great care of us for cocktails - everyone truly cared about making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Highly professional, helpful staff, and beautiful building with large rooms.
The hotel is slightly removed from the center of the city.
The perfect choice for our first visit to Rome, just 400m up a quiet side street from the Colloseum, all of our required criteria was fulfilled; a quiet room, effective air conditioning, a great breakfast on the terrace and the friendliest of staff. Housekeeping twice each day and assistance with airport transfers and trips. Chiara, Marco and Luigi were the pick of the staff, but everyone we dealt with, from breakfast staff to housekeeping showed the same friendly efficiency.
We travel a lot and are relatively fussy, but there is nothing I can fault the Hotel d'Africa on. When we return to Rome, we will stay there again.
bigger room. big comfy bed. service-oriented staff that spoke great english. decent gym. great breakfast. rooftop lounge. location. gay-friendly and near some gay places.
Clean modern hotel, breakfast included. Rooms are nice as is bathroom but the highlight is the terrace on the top floor where there is a bar a restaurant at night (not Sunday when everything is dead) and it is a great place to sit and enjoy the free wifi, read a book or just relax in one of the many seating nooks - a real treat in busy Rome.
Reception staff not welcoming or friendly to us or other guests either. We almost felt we were intruding on them at times. When there was a line of 4 couples that needed help and when one guy helped one couple he then went into the back room and ignored the rest of us! There are lots of steps up into the property and we had to ask for help with baggage.
Location Breakfast on roof terrace
+ Very helpful staff + Various and good quality breakfast + Good location + Excellent cleanliness During my short stay my room was serviced and cleaned a number of times, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and the hotel in general has unique character. I can only recommend it.
Compare to the advantages, these are only very minor points: - Sound isolation is not perfect; noise can be heard from people moving outside - Internet speed is not very high
service location staff were very friendly lovely breakfast on the terrace free business computer - v useful
As all other reviews about this hotel, it is definately a great location if you are starting your sight seeing from Ancient Rome. Located on a quiet street and the hotel is well maintained and clean.
Wifi is brutally slow so do not expect to get any emails answered while in the room.
The lack of a coffee maker in the room.
Location near to Colosseum, but in a quiet neighborhood.
Loved the location, the breakfast and the rooftop bar. Staff very helpful
Excellent friendly staff in a quiet n convenient location surrounded by Ancient Rome. Juliana made it a memorable stay
location, staff, terrace, breakfast
no complimentary tea/coffee in the room/ and no ironing facility in the room which was rather a big disadvantage.
Location in order to see the Coliseum and the Forum
Noise of fan in the bathroom which was so loud we couldn't sleep! Inadequate no of tables at breakfast, therefore long queues. Unable to use the terrace in the daytime.
