Hotel Capo d'Africa    

a decent size room for an Italian hotel but we had the deluxe room and am glad we upgraded. The staff were helpful and friendly. I have stayed in many Italian hotels and this is definitely one of the best for a country that just does not do hotels as well as some others. We will return to Rome soon and we will stay at this hotel again. There are some good restaurants within 2 minutes walk and I would especially recommend "3".

The pictures make it appear that there is a nice view from the terrace..... there isn't . the hotel is in a residential street and although very close to the colosseum you cant see it . They don't have a restaurant although you would think they do from the pictures.

Very friendly efficient staff. Rooms were very comfortable and maintained daily. Breakfast was very good with adequate variation. We would stay there again

The staff were wonderful. Allesandro gave us a warm welcome on our arrival and was exceedingly helpful. The breakfast on the terrace was delightful and the staff were very friendly. The room was modern and well appointed

No ramp for luggage , had to pull it up step by step at front not hotel

Tasteful and peaceful hotel in a quiet location close to Colosseum, with good transport links into town. Delightful and quiet room, good staff, roof terrace where you can eat breakfast and take drinks. Plenty of good, small eateries nearby, but you'd have to go a bit further for a top class meal.

Our bar bill was more than we would have expected.

Staff were very helpful. Giving good information, showing interest in us.beds were goods. Close to Colosseum and some interesting churches.

Air con had not been turned on. As days had not been continuously hot (this seems to be common thing in Europe).

Close to colesseum and other historic sites. Staff responded respectfully and helpfully to my questions and to my request for ice. Breakfast was a great feature.

Light switches did not work well. Wasted a lot of time trying to find out what switch turned off what light.Also needed to plug in a breathing device for all night operation and had a problem with the plug in the wall -it didn,t want to work or stay on.

Location - perfect for the colosseum - 5 minutes walk away. Some lovely restaurants and pubs close by. Room (219 - twin) clean, minibar standard overpriced drinks ok room size for Italian hotel. Breakfast standard buffet - if you want a full English breakfast you wont get this here. The reception staff very very friendly and incredibly helpful, would like that service in all the hotels I have stayed in. We came to Rome to do the marathon, brilliant for that as 5 minutes away from the start and finish. Good situation if you dont mind the 10 minute walk to other attractions e.g Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain. Would stay here again bu

Rooms (219) good - we were 'upgraded' but think we were changed from double to twin as not married. Not that happy with being in a twin room but we pushed beds together.

We staued in a Deluxe room which we paid extra 40 euros for, it was a standard in my eyes & extremely over priced, very average room. No views from rooms. Pictures on Internet of roof terrace not a true reflection. Adequate accommodation.

Very friendly and generally efficient. Room clean and reasonably presented and decorated Breakfast very good Complimentary prosecco on arrival was great idea. Water in room excellent.

Room a little sparse and not very homely, high ceilings not helping, one leather chair and little else to relax away from the bed area. Basin blocked but dealt with as requested. Shower cold on second day and slight odour coming from shower when door left open? Overall room three to four stars, with this proviso we would recommend to others

Reception staff were all friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Perfect location for the colosseum, approx 200metres! Easy to arrange transport to and from the airport for a reasonable fee.

Clean and modern hotel with a good location near to the Colloseum. A few restaurants and wine bars close-by.

Hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, gave us a map right away and highlighted all of the places to see and go, they recommended good places to eat and called taxis for us whenever we needed them. Is a stone's throw away from the Colloseum and the Forum, beautiful location.

The Capo d'Africa is a really excellent hotel. The staff are brilliant, especially thebreakfast team, located only 600m from the Colosseo metro station, the rooms are clean, quiet with excellent beds. The breakfast was one of the best we had ever experienced and passed the 'freshly squeezed orange juice, test. Highly recommended, as is the Da Mancha restaurant around the corner.
