Hotel Caravel  

The hotel changed so much that only the name and the location is the same as 2 years ago. Now it is very nice.

no glasses in thr bathroom = hard to wash teeth.

Staffs are helpful. Hotel is really clean

It is too far away from the Metro station. Although metro system of Rome itself is inconvenient.

Recently renovated, very good spacious room with terrace, good breakfast and housekeeping services. On the way to the metro (about 10 -15 minutes walk) there are several cafes, pizzerias and groceries.

Although in general the staff was helpful, the receptionist (female) on the first day of our stay (morning shift) was very rude.

The hotel is nice and modern, nice breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. I really liked the location, as there was a few buses just across the street going towards termini station and to the centre too. If you want to walk, colosseum is only about 15-20 mins nice walk. I would definitely return and I definitely recommend.

The possibly only thing I didn't like was the paid wifi. You got half hour for free, but it was quite a problem to connect. There was a couple of computers downstairs you could use for free but they were often full. For 21st century, I think it is silly not to have a free wifi. But that was the only downfall.

We've just returned from Rome where we had a 3 night stay at Caravel Hotel. Staff is really nice and helpful, provided us all the information we requested; very polite; We found our room to be very new and modern; clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good, there's ham (prosciutto) and cheese, sweets, juice etc. We made our reservation through booking but the hotel didn't charge our credit card. We paid the rooms when we left. Even if we didn't know about this (because on Booking was written that the hotel charges your credit card before arrival) it was a good thing because we avoided inter-banking commissions; so we paid less. The hotel is pretty far from Garbatella metro station (i guess it's a 20 minutes walk) but there are bus stations right in front of the hotel that take you to the center in 10 minutes. (There's 130, 160, 715 buses). We used these buses and it was excellent. The area seems pretty safe at night. I strongly recommend this hotel. The price/quality is really good. Not much to say here. Everything was really good.

One of the hotel receptionist (male) was not courteous and was a bit rude at time.

Friendly reception and nice clean environment. Room and bathroom size was good and very clean. We had problem with the flat screen tv but they fixed it. Cappuccino at the breakfast was quite good. All in all I will remember this as a good hotel and will come back.

Breakfast had everything that was sweet, more sweet and very sweet, not sure if thats the Italian taste but I didn't like that. Other negative was the location - nearest metro more than 1 km. There is no information in the room about no. to call reception or the restaurant menu card. I felt ventilation was missing and AC was off.

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, tidy, and nice. The beds were a little firm, but I guess that is typical for european beds. The receptionist was very helpful and nice. Breakfast was good and had a different variety everyday.

The computers they have in the lobby were extremely slow when using the internet. A bit of a walk to the metro. There was no anti-slip mat in the bathtub/shower. I would suggest the hotel to provide more maps with the hotel on it, bus map, and some tourist attraction pamphlets.

I stay at the Caravel whenever I come to Rome. The hotel has changed and the renovations are excellent.

Breakfast was somewhat better the last time I visited, before the renovations. Even so, the breakfasts I had were satisfactory.

The breakfast was great and the rooms brand new recently renovated. 20 minutes walk from Colosseo. free sat tv and in room valuables safe box. Great restaurant in the same block and easy access by bus or underground. The Staff were good and willing to help. Would hope to stay there again soon.

Everthing was excellent.

The first impression was nice- the reception was clean, receptionist was kind and made us feel welcome. The room exceeded our expectations- we needed an extra beed for my 11 year old sister, but she had exactly the same bed as we did. Later we read that we had a Junior Suite and only had to pay 18€ per night for the extra bed. We had two sinks and a lovely bathroom. The room was cleaned every morning and the room was wonderful in every way. Loved-loved-loved the breakfast. It's usual to have a continental breakfast in Rome, but they had buffee. We stayed there for 7 nights and had no problems. There was very little renovation works and it didn't disturb us at all. The hotel was clean!

Room was very clean, nice and modern. Staff was friendly and there wasn’t any problem at all. Breakfast was good, especially croissants. However there could be more variety at breakfast. Renovation works at lobby and corridors caused some inconvenience. Location isn't the best if the aim is to visit city center. The metro station is about 1 km away. But there is always possible to take a longer walk to center. Bed was a little bit too hard for us. We recommend this hotel.

Had slept very well despite the ongoing refurbishment (which was made known to me at the time of booking). Could only notice works being carried out wheb at reception. Rooms were spotless & comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and hot water was constant. The only slight problem was the basin plug kept dropping to the bottom meaning that after washing, you would end up with a pool of water still left in the basin, however, this was fixed when brought to their attention. Breakfast was simple & continental but with plenty of choice in terms of food & drink. Staff were helpful & knowledgeable of the local area. Location was good also as quite a few of the tourist sites were a short bus ride away. Free 30 minute use of Internet was useful also. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Caravel hotel & would not hesitate in recommending it to family & friends.

Loved the new decore of the rooms; we went whilst it was still under construction but the new rooms were amazing and the location was superb..

Because we went when it was user construction the wifi and wired Internet was not available in the rooms...there was only a shared computer that had access to Internet. Also, the buffet breakfast did not have much variety of items to choose from so it got boring pretty quickly....

The hotel is being renovated now but this makes no discomfort for the clients. The room was excellent as well as the bathroom! The breakfast was included into the price,.

The metro is 1500 meters from the hotel around 15-20 minutes of walk

Behaviour of hotel staff are very good.

Breakfast offered was not good. Due to renovation work going on, the way to stair was not clean

Pulizia, arredamento, letto comodo. La mancanza del frigo bar è un problema in quanto è disponibile un distributore nel corridoio a prezzo ragionevole.Comodità parcheggio sia in garage che all'esterno.

Hotel nuovo con ovviamente tutto perfetto Buona posizione Gentilezze del personale Buono tutto sommato il rapporto qualità' prezzo

Problemi di spazio nella sala colazioni quando arrivano i gruppi Prima colazione decisamente da migliorare per scelta e qualità prodotti

το δωματιο του ξενοδοχειου ητανε ανακαινισμενο και πολυ καθαρο. η τιμη σε σχεση με αλλα ξενοδοχεια ειναι πολυ ελκηστικη.

το πρωινο ητανε ΑΠΑΡΑΔΕΚΤΟ! ποικιλια μηδεν, οι χυμοι σκετο νερο, ουτε καν ψωμακια δεν ειχε. το ξενοδοχειο εχει σταση λεοφωρειου σχεδον απεναντι αλλα λεωφορειο δεν ερχετε συχνα.... ο κλιματισμος ητανε αυτοματα γυρισμενος στο κρυο επειδη ητανε μαιος αλλα η θερμοκρασια ητανε στους 15, και φυσικα παγωσαμε. το μονο που μπορουσαν να κανουν ητανε να μας δωσουν εξτρα κουβερτα.

Vicino al Polo Didattico, alla Regine Lazio, abbastanza all'EUR. Camere funzionali. Buona politica dei prezzi. Cortesi.

La colazione ha bisogno di una spinta in più: prodotti per celiachi, marmellate sfuse, un'altra torta e formaggi e salumi meno "tristi". Internet a pagamento, per me dovrebbe esser sempre gratis. Le immediate vicinanze non sono fantastiche.

Неплохое соотношение цена/качество. Чисто и опрятно. Хорроший и недорогой ресторан при отеле.

Условно бесплатный WIFI, только 30 минут в день бесплатно, при этом ужасный сигнал в номерах Не очень дружелюбный персонал. Рядом с отелем совершенно нечего делать, нужно ехать на автобусе в центр .
