The owner was one of the most funny, warm, and friendly guy we met along our Italy vacation. Very welcoming, trusting, and you can tell he loves what he does. Walked us through the entire facility, what to do in Rome, even gave us a local cell phone to dial his cell if we needed anything while we were in room. Great free breakfast in the morning, and he let us leave our bags with him all day after we checked out while we ran around the city. The neighborhood was wonderful and we will definitely be back to stay here.

the location is very close to shops (food, restaurants, laundry mat, convenient store is just downstair), bus stops, the host is very warm and friendly, gives you a detailed briefing of places of interests, transport, etc. the room is modern and spacious, the food prepared by the host himself, love everything about this place. would highly recommend this place.

Cardilli bed and breakfast was an excellent place to stay. I would highly recommend it. Close to most attractions, a bit of walking involved but worth the walk. Our host Lucia went out of his way to make us feel comfortable he was extremely helpful.

Gianluca was the perfect host and went out of his way to take care of our every need. We were three sisters who had never been to Rome and had no idea what to expect. All of Gianluca's recommendations on sightseeing and restaurants were spot on. We beat the never ending line into the Coliseum and ate at a charming restaurant in Traverse area thanks to Gianluca's guidance. The map he marked out for us was invaluable. Rooms were comfortable and modern, while the building had the "newer" old world Italian charm from the marble stairs to the heavy wooden doors and the vintage cage elevator. Breakfast was tasty and filling for a heavy day of walking and touring. You could walk to most every major attraction from the Cardilli Luxury Rooms and if not, Gianluca would tell you how much to pay for a taxi - "not one Euro more". The complimentary cell phone with his number preprogrammed allowed us to contact him no matter where we were and gave us a relieving sense of security. We are indebted to Gianluca for making our experience in Rome one we will never forget.

Excellent b&b!!! The rooms really are quite luxurious, vere beautiful furniture, very well-equiped bathroom (we stayed in the double room). The owner is very pleasant and very welcoming. He showed us all the best places to see, advised where to eat and even gave a little cell phone to call him if we needed anything. The hotel is very well situated in a beautiful buiding, close to the train station and many main attractions, but not on a very busy touristy street, which was also nice.

Location is perfect for visiting all of the ancient sites of Rome. Less than 10 walk to the colosium and less than 10 minute walk to the Pantheon.

Gianluca was so helpful, the B&B is in a convenient yet quiet location, very comfortable room, everything we read about the Cardilli was true - it really is great value & as good as a 4* hotel! we were even lent a mobile phone to use in case of emergency! Lovely breakfast too. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Clean room

Had double bed with a foam peice going down the middle of the bed which was totally uncomfortable . The bathroom had a section of the wall with clear glass bricks which had paint on and you could see peoplle moving about in breakfast area when you were using the bathroom . Not good . When booking hotel it said transfers where avalible and so I sent details of flight arrival/ depart and was told €50 for transfers . Apon arriving at hotel we were charged € 50 one way and I explained to hotel manager and he said that was cheapest he could find so for trip back we got a white taxi which has the fair of €30 on side door .ripped off for taxi fare

Very good location only 10 min walk from Coloseo. Good restaurants nearby. Confortable sofa.

We booked 1month before for bathtub room, and he replied us to confirm. But we felt DISAPPOINTED!! because there is no bathtub in our room!! Why? we asked him. HOwever, his reason is nonsense because we have e-mail confirmed by him. If we know that NO BATHTUB in our room, we will not book this hotel! No Apologize to us!

We found the Monti district a good location for exploring Rome on foot. We walked from the train station, easy walk down to the Colosseum, and up to the Spanish Steps. Easy walk to the Metro to visit the Vatican. Good breakfast with eggs to start your day and nice jetted tub after a long day exploring. Very clean and new. Friendly host.

The location was central to all main features of Rome. The breakfast was varied according to the dietary requirements of guests. The personal touch of the host was a main feature.

John Lucca was a fantastic host and it was a pleasure to stay there for the 4 days. The breakfast he cooked was fantastic, and we had the biggest TV screens in all our european trip. The location is ideal , you are walking distance to major attractions and not to far away from a metro station I would definately stay again By the way John Lucca had a baby boy why we were staying there and he still carried out the finest service on our stay.
