Cardinal Hotel St. Peter

Runsas aamupala pekoneineen ja munineen. Kattoterassin porealtaat palautteli mukavasti kaupungilla tepastelusta rasittuneita jalkoja.

Hieman pitkähkö matka niin nähtävyyksille kuin metroasemallekin, mutta tervejalkaiselle ja kävelystä pitävälle matkat ei liian pitkiä.

Huoneet oli moderneja ja tyylikkäitä. Allas oli tosi kiva.

Aamiainen oli hyvä, porealtaat ja uima-allas helteisen päivän jälkeen tuntuivat luxukselta, näköala oli huikaiseva. Huoneissa hyvä varustus ja ne olivat siistit.

Ainoa "haitta" oli pikkuisen syrjäinen sijainti. Samoin olisi ollut kiva, jos uima-allas olisi ollut käytössä pidempään illalla.

It was very close to the main attraction in Rome and they had a paper describing the bus system around the hotel and how to get to the various different attractions.

The staff was ok but not the "customer comes first" type. When I asked a question here and there throughout my stay they usually just said they didnt know or couldnt help me and continued with their work. The key to most successfull businesses are the employees and how they respond to the clientele needs. Even if they didnt know the simple answers, if they had shown more interest or even shown that they cared a little, it would have gone a long way to my feeling of comfort in the hotel. One example is when I asked them how I went about activating the internet in my room. The person at the desk just looked up and told me to read the pamphlet in my room, the instructions where there...

This is the second time we stay at this hotel and we are very pleased with the service and quality. Very clean. Close to the centre, still in a quiet area. Buses to the centre (916) take 10 min to reach downtown. People at reception are always available and give you information about virtually everything. If you need a shuttle to the airport, the hotel offers you the service for 65E (Fiumicino), but if you book a shuttle at the airport or any other company that offers shuttles, it will cost you 48E (they come in the nick of time with a brand new car). Otherwise, I will highly recommend the hotel and most probably stay there again.

rooms are clean, newly refurbished

far from city center and restaurants; staff not so friendly, had a room were the carpet was damp and had to wait until the next day to be offered a new one. Breakfast is unimpressive, not worthy of a 4 star hotel

It is quite far from the center of rome but with trasnsportation it is only a matter of 10 minutes. Taxi to rome is about 10 euros. Hotel was clean but far from center on foot.

the staff was helpful and kind. room was clean and spacious.

the internet did not work properly, the tub did not drain and the air conditioning was broken.

Lack of the noise usually associated with Rome

No obvious routes - E.G. Reception to lift lobby, to breakfast room, and a very obscure route to the roof-top terrace.

Quality and size of the rooms

the hotel is very nice. But a little far away from the city and not easy to find. It actually takes almost 25 minutes (even longer after a whole day trip) to walk to St. Peter

The only reason I booked this hotel was to use the swimming pool. Sacrificed location (was there for work) purely to use the facilities. When I arrive was told the pool was closed for the rest of the season. This was not mentioned on there website.Additionally the hotel staff did not know the quickest way to the airport using the trains which I thought bizarre.
