This peaceful Atahotel is set on the edge of Rome's Villa Pamphili park. It features a seasonal outdoor pool, a traditional restaurant, and classically furnished rooms with 5 hours of free Wi-Fi.
Score from 789 reviews Good
Just outside Rome's Villa Doria Pamphili, the NH Villa Carpegna features free Wi-Fi, free parking, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool. The hotel is in a quiet area, just over 1 mile from the Vatican....
Score from 283 reviews Good
Golden Tulip Rome Airport Isola Sacra is a large property with a garden and outdoor swimming pool. It is located a 5-minute drive from the center of Fiumicino and Leonardo Da Vinci Airport.
Score from 1527 reviews Very good
Right next to the Vatican City and a 10-minute walk from Saint Peter's Square, Starhotels Michelangelo Rome has rooms with classic decoration and air conditioning.
Score from 1600 reviews Excellent
Staff were excellent and always ready to help
Pity it's not a little closer to the metro but enjoyed the walk through the neighbourhood
Breakfast - state chambre an its equipement- state and pool equipement- advice for bus
On the outskirts of the city but this wasn't an issue as there was a good bus service a short walk from the hotel. Taxis were also quite reasonable. The pool and rooftop Jacuzzi were brilliant - the view was also excellent. Nice room - clean and spacious. Free garage parking for motorbikes.
Restaurant meal was poor and very few alternative places to eat within walking distance (unless you like MacDonald s, which was around the corner). Wi-fi only available in Reception area.
Nice food, lovely pool. Excellent family room
We were telephoned by reception at 10pm in our room for some passport details (which had not been photocopied well earlier) It woke myself, husband and two young children up!!! We had just spent an hour getting them to sleep!!!!! They were apologetic after I told them, but that didn't help me having to spend the next couple of hours trying to get a two year old to stop running around the hotel room whilst exhausted! Apart from this the stay was v good.
Location. No close access to restaurants.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Close to the Vatican and the subway. The room was clean and organised and the breakfast was acceptabel but more warm choises would be recommended, like oatmeal for example.
The staff in the restaurant seemed to be on a bad mood. That may be due to the lack of smiling and no enthusiasm.
Only one very flat and uncomfortable pillow Dreadful coffee
Everything is Perfect
Nothing .... Everything is Perfect
size of pool quiet rooms view from room
not enough sunbeds pool too cold too far from sights
The cleaness in all the facilities of the hotel in general and the room in particular
Not being close to a metro station and the breakfast could be proved although it could have been worse
Clean, spacious room and bathroom facilities. Pool was great- relief from the sun. Eat in the restaurant three nights in a row, due to the location of the hotel and not wanting to travel out again in the evening. Sarah, in reception was especially helpful and friendly.
Restaurant choices were limited, especially for main plate and desert. Food average. Pool out of main reception, and got quite busy. Also, my son reported the water very cold! A bus ride to the centre, but ok once knew what to do.
Kind staffs, comfortable room (completely air-condition, fulfilled amenities, etc), and pools on the ground and on the roof garden are perfect
Far a little bit to the center of Roma, located west of Vatican. So you need a car, or public transport (Bus 31, 33 stops near there)
the staff was helpful and friendly. they did have a good breakfast.
The hotel is very large and at first glance looks nice but it is old and worn from the lobby to the rooms. Due to large groups staying there, I think the staff if overwhelmed and can't keep up with cleanliness. We could only use wifi in the lobby which is always teaming with teenagers…makes you feel you are in a dorm or hostel. Would not recommend this hotel to a mature (anyone over 30 ) traveler. the picture on line represent a newer hotel…this one is just showing it's age.
The pool. The roof top. The connecting rooms. The cleanliness. The size of room and bathroom
The restaurant for dinner was terrible. Except for one waiter, the service was poor (forgetting to serve some of our meal) and the food was microwavable foods that were served lukewarm.
Beautiful hotel, lovely dinner on the rooftop. Enjoyed spending time in the hot tub. Staff extremely helpful, an excellent hotel overall, with outstanding value for money.
Location of the hotel was good and had good connections to the city centre. Reception staff was really friendly and helpful.
Wifi could be in rooms also, not only in lobby. Room was bit worn out and needs refreshing.
The quality of the rooms seems to vary greatly in this Hotel. The standard of our room (302) was way beyond what you could expect from the hotel description. When entering the room you are right in front of the double bed. The bathroom however is facing outside, but nonetheless without a window. The only widow is at the end of the narrow corridor to the bathroom, but there isn't much to look at anyway - exept for the concrete backbones of the building. The room is incredibly dark, the lighting system is somewhat non-intuitive. Overall this was an immensely poor room. Make sure you get one facing southeast.
Lovely rooms with great balcony with views of St Peter Basilica. Very comfortable beds, luxury bathrooms and products, reception staff were very attentive and helpful when booking airport taxi and getting directions into the city centre.
Our taxi from the airport was not there when we arrived however we easily got another taxi from the rank. The hotel is approximately 30 mins from the city centre so you have to get a bus in although they are pretty regular. Do not eat in the hotel for dinner, pizzas were frozen, steak was incredibly chewy and the vegetable soup was inedible due to the amount of salt it contained. There are plenty of lovely eating places in the city.
Rooftop jacuzzis great. Friendly staff at reception. Nice room. Great view of St Peter's basilica from roof.
Room had no view balcony - 10 yards from solid bank of trees. Wifi connection poor. Breakfast repetitive - scrambled eggs every day, no variety. Shower curtain (stained) rather outdated.
.Great room .Clean facilities .Most of the staff is helpful
.Far from the main sights. .The water in the outdoor hot tubes wasn't hot. .NO WIFI IN THE ROOMS.
Cardinal Hotel St Peter was a good place to stay while exploring Rome. It is close to to the Vatican City as well the centre of Rome. We caught public transport while there which was very regular. This hotel also has secure car parking which was good. There is a restaurant on site if you don't want to eat at the hotel the nearest restaurants are about a 15 minute walk or you can catch transport into Rome centre.
the bath of swimming pool
Nice big family rooms and good value for a hotel with pool in Rome
