Cardinal Hotel St. Peter  

Bra familjevänligt hotell nära Peterskyrkan, Bra pool, trevlig personal.

Det serverades en bra buffé på hotelltaket, men det fylldes inte på någon mat. Vi var 10 pers. Och när vi och ett till sällskap tagit en gång var nästan allt slut. Vi hade 4 barnbarn med oss som bad om mer pizza, de kom med en och satte på vårt bord, övriga gäster fick inte mera. Ska ni äta där så kom när de öppnar, maten var mycket bra men.......

Det lungna läget. Pool och jacuzzi. Bra parkering under hotellet.

Frukosten var under all kritik på avstånd ser den fin ut men alla råvaror håller inte måttet: Juicerna går inte att dricka, äggröra gjord på pulver, Bllligaste mortadelan, ost oätbar smakar inget, kakor smakar inget, brödet hårt, frukter halvrutna eller inga. Mögel i badrummet och mycket smutsigt i badkaret. Alla hörn var svarta. Rummet minimalt dock fin terass. Tv för 7 euro/dag är ett skämt.

Ett mycket prisvärt hotell, fräscht, hyfsat nytt, bra läge och mycket trevlig personal. Budgetlyx...inte Grand men inte vandrarhem heller.

Gillar man inte kakor och bullar till frukost kanske man inte ska åka till Italien.

The hotel is excellently situated close to the Vatican and St Peter, a 25 minute walk. Also close to buses that will take you right in to the old town. A big plus is the pool and area around it. It makes your city trip into a relaxation as well. Wonderful to bathe in the sun and take a swim before the city tour. The room has everything you need. We had two adjacent rooms with balconies that were very well used during our stay. The door between the rooms made it easy for us to communicate without using the corridor. The roof top garden is another plus. Most of The staff are nice and helpful. A supermarket is situated at the square a short walk from the hotel.

Att kunna koppla av vid poolen på förmiddagen för att sedan ta sig in till centrum på eftermiddagen,antingen med bussen som gick strax nedanför hotellet det tog ca 15 min eller med taxi som tog ca 10min. Rummen för Oss som är en fam på 4 personer med större barn var perfekt då det var två rum. Vi gillade hotellet!

Jag tyckte det var sent att öppna severingen med mat o dryck kl 13.00 Men nedanför backen så finns det en jättefin mataffär där man kan köpa dricka mm det blir dessutom billigare än att köpa I baren hela tiden! Det finns inte många Resturanger att välja på I området. Pesonalen var trevliga men det gör ju inget om man drar lite på smilebanden!!

Det var ett utmärkt hotell för att koppla av ifrån city,när man vandrat runt i 3 dagar. Från Termini tar man buss nr 40 till Pza Pauli, byt till nr 98.Inte så långt att gå från hotellet för att ta buss in igen(nr 33 till Pza Clodio - sedan nr 23 till Trastervere,vilket vi gjorde på kvällen.Avkoppling vid poolen och en underbar utsikt från "Roof-garden" med jaccuzzi och solstolar. Rent och snyggt. Bra frukost.Bra avslutning på semestern.

Fanns ingen mat,inte ens än gång något litet till lunch. Fast på gångavstånd fanns det Supermercato.

Tyst och lugnt läge med närhet till busslinjer in till city.

Excellent jacuzzi and pool, many bus routes in to town inc 916 bus and many others. Its a great hotel if your not there for tv and breakfast. Its close enough to get the bus into the city but not much around. That said no noise and smog either. I would recommend this hotel but no tv and breakfast is terrible - that said its free and it would cost as much anywhere else for 4 star without breakfast. Yes the jacuzzi relies on the sun for heat - its hot and refreshing. Too many complaints about this hotel really by others, its basic but nice. The staff can be moany b ut they are Italian, we found that quite a lot. Good place to stay with good bus links.

Breakfast sucks - so what you know that now before you book Staff can be narky but are also helpful. Guests moan too much Need more than bbc world and ccn on tv

We are a young couple and we stayed for 7 nights. When we arrived, we were given a very large room with big windows, nice, quiet and confortable, but the air conditioner had no remote control and could be stopped only by the reception. In this room the air conditioner had a problem, could not be stoped at all, so at 1 in the morning we had to move to another room. The second room, where we stayed for the entire week was also clean and comfortable, but not so big as the first one, and it only had a window in the back of a corridor of the room, windows towards many trees and in the day there was no light in the room (we had to stay always with the light on). We didn't asked for a second move because after a holl day in the sun of Rome we were tired and only wanted relaxation when arriving to the hotel. Everyday the cleaning lady made our bed, changed our towels, put shower gels and shampoos in the toilet, but I don't think that she used the vacuum cleaner at all, and never washed our bath. In general the comfort is 4 stars, but the breakfast was 2 stars. The locations was ok (4 bus stations until vatican and san pietro square; 3 bus stations until the nearest metro station : Valle Aurelia or Cornelia station; and after that we can take the subway 4-5 stations until the major atractions). We gave 55 euro for a night during the week, and 85 euro for a night in the weekend. 55 euro is ok for the hotel, but a greater sum doesn;t justify the 4 stars of the hotel.

The hotel has a swimming pool and 3 small jacuzzi (each one for 2 persons) with cold water, they were heated only by the sun. The breakfast was always the same, poor , without vegetables, and if we went after 8.30 without fresh fruits. Their offer contained only in one type of salamy, one type of cheese, two types of ham (witch was bad), omlete which was bad, and baked ham which was burned or very fat; cereals, butter;lot of sweet chocolate croissants; lots of baskets with different kinds of bread; the cheapes milk, the worse coffe ever; juice but was worse then Coke ar fanta because had a lot of sugar and seem very very artificial and cheep. The tv offer was poor. In the evening the only free programs that you could watch were cnn and bbc. The other ones were in italian, or were extra cost (music, films etc) There was no wi fi in the lobby, nor a free computer witch would've been very helpfull. Don't forget about the city tax , 3 euro for person, for every night, tax imposed by the government from 1 january 2011. I also think that the hotel should have a map with all the buses/trams that came in that area, because at the beginng of our staying we were put in the situation where at 9 A.m the metro station was closed, we didn;t knew because nobody told us, we were in the other part of the city, and it took us almost 3 hours to arrived at the hotel asking lots of people, changeing 2 buses, walking etc.

The rooms were excellent. A very good size, with a great view of St Peters from the balcony where you could really relax. Lovely bathroom. The pool was good and the jacuzzi was a great bonus! It is a little out of town but close to the underground or bus which is easy to use. Would recommend it!
