breakfast, location, decoration
A special design, very colorfull. The staff were very helpfull and enthusiastic. The restaurants they recommended were very good
Excellent location, walking distance to everywhere. Comfortable clean rooms, helpful staff, good breakfast in a very pleasant breakfast room.
Bedrooms facing the road suffer some early morning traffic noise. ( ask for a room at the back - no view, but no noise either)
It all you needed for a holiday staff always on hand when you wanted them
- No coffee maker - Very small the size of TV its computer TV - there are no Many choices for breakfast - This hotel deserve 3 star
Customer service was the best, without question. Room decor very nice. (I particularly like the hallways!) Comfortable bed and a dark and quiet room for SUPERIOR sleeping. AC worked great, too. Classy hotel. For a hotel in this class, a great value. Breakfast was a good selection with lots of options to include hot eggs, fresh fruit, yogurts, breads, etc.. Be sure to ask wait staff for a freshly made coffee of your choice.
Location not perfect, a city block or so away from most sights, but well worth the extra steps. Not a problem for us, but a consideration for those who are not as mobile.
I liked everything. The desighn is great! It is very comfortable and near duomo.
TV and no food in the hotel
Location was good, breakfeast every day the same,
We booked the room for two days with fixed rate as a surprise we were charged more, when we told them to extend another day they raised the price 60 dollars more ,this is not acceptable we paid ,and they said to complain!
Room Mate Luca is a great place to stay. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the accommodates wonderful. Its location is so close to the duomo and the daily market. It is definitely worth staying there!
The location was about a 10 min walk to train station. However sidewalk are narrow. Buses run regularly to/ from train so it is easy to take the bus. Hotel staff was excellent. Breakfast was good. Had a nice selection. Close to the center near centro market and only 20 min walk to river. Our room was a corner which allowed for fantastic light and breeze.
Bathroom shower had fantastic pressure and hot water but was small which is typical for Italian hotels.
Staff was very friendly and helpful location is good
room as way to small tiny shower wasnt very clean beds where uncomfortable and 2 small bed pushed together that separated easily
Very helpful reception staff Excellent breakfast choice and time Comfy bed in quiet room Quirky decor
My pink room
We stayed at this hotel when it was the Carolus and were apprehensive about whether or not it would have changed. It has changed, and for the better. We LOVE it and hope to stay there again. It is clean, comfortable, and the staff are so friendly and efficient. It may have four stars, but to us, it rates five!
Great location and value for money hotel. Nice decoration and supportive and friendly staff.
Towels are clean but doesn't smell fresh, probably storage issue... Breakfast is good but no cheese varieties.
Location - quiet street just outside the busy historic core. Best breakfast on our 2 week trip thru Italy -and- it lasts till midday! Funky design throughout. Friendly and welcoming staff. Faultless
Within walking distance of train station, and most attractions. Places to eat nearby. Helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Were happy to make bookings & recommend places to eat. Buffet breakfast was good, could be a bit of a scramble if a tour was staying at the same time.
First night airconditioning was not working but soon rectified when we told the staff. Standard rooms are quite small although bathroom is adequate. Street noise may bother some people if you have the window open.
The location is great, 15 min walk from Santa Maria Novella station and a 10 min walk to the center where shopping is and the Duomo. The room was very unique and decorated nicely and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel
The breakfast is pretty weak and does not have many options.
Everything about this hotel is perfect. I went there with low expectations but I was surprised how good it was. Everything was clean and nice, the staff were polite responsive and helpful. The location is perfect very close to il duomo and the train station and they offer great tours as well.
the staff were so friendly and helpful. Helping us with tourist information was much appreciated.
Nothing to complain about
Hotel was pleasant with nice geometric designs throughout. The room was not large but the very high ceilings made it feel spacious.
What sets this hotel apart from other hotels is definitely the staff !! Their welcome makes your holiday special and carries on until you unfortunately have to leave. Nothing is too much trouble and all the day to day experiences leave you smiling. Would we stay again ? Absolutely for certain. I am very fortunate to have travelled the world staying in many hotels from Budget to 5 Star and very few of them give you this experience. I would also like to pay tribute to the designers who chose the colour schemes, very bold but also very tastefully combined.
