Very clean room.friendly staff, abundant breakfast. Lovely location.
We had to change the number so as to enter the internet frequently. Why couldn't we have a number and use that number only?
easy access to shuttle bus to transfer to Fiumicino Roof terrace Lovely breakfast range Fridge in room Safe and secure
Dog mess outside in street
Location was very convenient. Generous breakfast buffet. Pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely roof type garden.
Rooms a bit spartan but very clean.
It was so serene and blocked away from the hustle and bustle of Rome. It had the spiritual feel and staff were fantastic. The accommodation was clean and had its own kiosk in the reception with lovely food. The venue had its own car park within the monastery and it was secure. An excellent location to Vatican and other areas. Best keep secret!!
staff was exceptionally helpful breakfast was excellent as was the service
can't say anything extremely pleasant atmosphere
The rooms are comfortable though simple, clean, with toiletries in the bathrooms. There is a tranquility about the place. Reception staff were accommodating. Breakfast was excellent - included meats and cheeses, and delicious breads set in a lovely arched dining hall. We ended our hectic days of touring with a drink from the bar while sitting on the rooftop patio garden with views of St. Peter's dome. Easy walk across the river to Piazza Navona and other sites. Would like to stay there again when in Rome.
The location was easy walking distance to most of the religious and historic venues in Rome being close to the Vatican and the river. in a quiet area of the city. Most of the staff were very helpful, but not all.
This is a religious hotel, used mainly by "pilgrim groups" and was thus a little basic rather like being back at school. The dining area/breakfast room, was set out in rows as in a works canteen. This was probably reflected in the price, which was moderate, compared to other hotels in the area.
I was in Vatican City for the Canonisation of Blesseds John Paul II and John XXIII and I could not have picked better accommodation. Everything about the Domus Camelitana was perfect, I would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend it to everyone.
We have just returned after a most enjoyable stay, our 5th since 2000.Great to see the familiar faces of Mario & Max at the Reception & being so helpful as always. It was very busy due to the Canonizations ,but Daniella always found time to make delicious cappuccinos for my wife & I at breakfast.D C is our home in Roma. Michael & Diane ,Randolph,M.A.
Great to have wi-fi access, but we had to constantly log in,sometimes after 4 or 5 minutes. This may have been due to heavy usage . We look forward to our next visit & continue to recommend Domus Carmelitana to anyone visiting The Eternal City.
Nice personel, parking!!! Overall I can recommend it to my friends.
They can improve cleaning in the bathroom - inner side of glass cover and rubber of bath. Difficult to access WiFi - but signal is good.
Location, breakfast, helpful staff, comfortable room.
Towels in bathroom were too thin.
excellent location, excellent breakfast, very clean, wonderful roofgarden.
Wi-fi is unnecessarily complicated
The reception area, the bar and the breakfast room were just elegant, worthy of a first class hotel. I was welcomed warmly when I arrived: this was a relief after the noise ande bustle of Roman traffic. What struck me most strongly when I got to my room was the peace and tranquillity of Domus Carmelitana. Breakfast was very, very good, plenty of choice of juices, breads, cereals and cooked eggs, bacon and sausages. It was just lovely to come back to this quiet oasis after a day of sight-seeing in the city. The bar, by the way, was well-stocked and much cheaper than bars near Via della Conciliazione. The young woman who cleaned my room daily did an excellent job
Though I said the staff were excellent and most welcoming and friendly, one person at Reception was rather dour, as was one person in the dining room
Location and breakfast
Inability to get refund when flight canceled first night and had to leave for emergency on last night. Paid for two nights that I didn't use!!
The peace and cleanliness of the hotel and your staff were most helpful at all times. All the party enjoyed the establishment. Thank you for a most enjoyable few days.
After a great deal of effort my your staff and myself we failed to connect with your Wi-Fi.
My third time staying here. Each experience has been great. People at the front desk are very helpful.
Nothing, I will stay here again
The location and the proximity to the Vatican. the helpful staff and the easy access to the Rome bus services
It would have been nice to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room
Location; friendly personel.
Breakfast: coffee and warm dishes could be better standard
Superb location for visiting Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Basilica, Piazza Navona, Castle de St. Angelo, Bridge of the Angels, Trastevere, etc. Staff were very helpful, other guests very friendly, peaceful atmosphere.
We are elderly and the beds weren't the most cushy; could use some updating there. Younger people wouldn't mind that so much.
Believe it or not, the breakfast was THE best I had in Rome! That was a nice touch, providing the free breakfast! This was a quaint and charming place to stay in Rome! Will highly recommend to friends!
My sleeping accommodations were different than expected, a twin bedded room. I would have preferred a king or queen sized bed but was too jet-lagged to change. Otherwise, it was THE perfect accommodation! The windows were an absolute plus!!!!
Very good location: Castle S'Angelo - 3 min by walk, St. Peter Basilica - 5 min, entrance in Vatican museums - 10 min, Piazza Navona - 10 min, Shuttle Bus stop from/to Fumichino airport - 3 min, bus stop #40 express to Termini station - 3 min, emergency (hospital) - 5 min, bar with excellent live music (Jazz, Soul, Rock) - 5 min, many reasonable Italian trattories & restaurants nearby. Very calm, quiet & safe place; good contry yard, beautiful roof terrace, reasonable Rome map and espresso on reception. Room, bed and others - all very good. Very friendly homemade & front desk staff.
Don't try to eat fried bacon (hot breakfast) if you have no iron maden stomach.
No wifi, bed breakfast
