We love Priania we have been there several times and it never disappoints. It’s a small town but everything you need is there the bus service to Positano and Amalfi is very handy. We were disappointed that the ferries weren’t operating yet so we didn’t get to Capri but all the more reason to come back again.

There's not a lot to do in Praiano itself but it's a great place to stay for day trips to Positano and Amalfi with frequent buses stopping in the village. It was good to be away from the crowds in the evenings and whilst small the choice and standard of restaurants was good

Buses to and from neighbouring Amalfi and positano are cheap but don't necessarily arrive on time !! Tickets must be purchased in advance at little shops. The locals are very friendly and happy to point you in the right direction and if you need help with the steep stairs take the little local
Bus for one euro that runs exactly in time and to listen to the locals is a joy. Such a community feel and a great feel good boost !!

The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite.
The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite. We walked from Praiano to Positano and had lunch in Nochelle. The walk up the to the church and the views were wonderful. The little town on the hillside was clean and bright and wonderful for anyone who does not mind walking up and down many steps. I would recommend that future travellers not spend much time in either Positano or Amalfi. Both were crowded and very touristy.

A great value to stay as "home base".
A great value to stay as "home base". We did day trips to Positano and Amalfi each day via water taxi. The bus would have been much more economical but we wanted to see each town from the water and the taxis provided a mini tour of the coast with each trip. We did want to take the city bus to the beach on a Sunday AM, but after waiting about 20 minutes it passed our stop by b/c it was packed full. We decided to do the 30 minute walk to Il Gavitella beach and discovered some nice small shops and the San Gennaro church.
The town itself has great restaurant options including Il Pirata, Franchino and La Moressa.

Praiano is beautiful and definitely has more of a residential/local vibe as compared to the more touristy towns along the Amalfi Coast. We stayed here, as it is conveniently situated between Positano and Amalfi, and you can take the bus from town to town. The accommodation options in Praiano were also slightly cheaper than some of the other towns along the coast. Although Praiano is beautiful and great for a day trip, I would not likely stay here again, as there is not much nightlife and we found ourselves commuting to Positano and Amalfi quite a lot.
The host was friendly, and did her best to answer my questions. No english was spoken, so we used Google translate, which was fine. In a quiet location with some good views once you get outside. The fan provided was quite strong which was nice. One thing to note, is that Praiano is not flat ... There are quite a few stairs to climb to reach the accommodation - this was not an issue for me. The breakfast provided consisted of pastries, and there was an espresso machine. There are two supermarkets a short walk away which was very convenient.
Beauty peaceful family run hotel that make you feel like family visiting . The property is on the main road overlooking the sea . Beautiful facilities , rooftop restaurant with amazing breakfast including cooked yummy scrambled eggs and bacon ever morning with fresh fruit pastries and yoghurt . Buses stop out front to Positano and Praiano / Amalfi ( hotel has all the bus tickets ) however Luigi will drive you into Praiano and into the first stop of Positano whenever you need ! That is a game changer and makes everything easy !
Exactly as it looks in the pictures. Amazing views and great location. Room was spotless and easy access to buses. You can use the facilities of the hotel next door which is the best on the area and the prices for using the pool etc reflect that. Best advice pay the 1.3 euros to go to Amalfi and the 5 euros for a sunbed. It's the cheapest you will find.
Praiano is great place to stay with nice restaurants and easy buses (but busy) to get everywhere
We stayed in the hotel in August, which I admit was a big mistake on our part. Piece of advice, the month of August is the WORST month to travel to ITALY. Nevertheless, even the busiest season of the year shall not be the reason for staff members to treat tourists the way we felt being commanded.
One the positive side the receptionist Mr. OMAR was very helpful, very kind and deserves 10 out of 10 points for his professionality and hospitality.
The hotel was lovely and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They provided us with beach towels and free water. The food was really good and you could even watch premiership live football, very rare for this part of Italy. We had amazing sea views and even a jacuzzi which was very useful after having walked the Path of the Gods. There was also a free shuttle service to the beach and a cheap local bus service around the town.
The couple who seem to be the owner of the hotel are very nice and helpful. I can feel they tried to help as much as they could but the facilities in the rooms are very limited. The view from our balcony is very lovely as it overlooks the sea. It is quite convenient to get to Positano on a taxi and the parking next to the hotel is quite big (compared to other places in Italy). The dinners at the hotel are quite nice
The views were to die for. Having a private tub on our terrace was an amazing way to spend our first few days in Italy. Breakfast was delicious with so many choices for all dietary preferences, with an extensive daily menu to choose from. The staff really made the experience even better! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I think this is the first hotel I've ever left where I hugged the staff upon departing!
Absolutely beautiful location with so much space to enjoy the Amalfi coast and relax. There are a few good restaurants close by if you aren’t up for a hike but if you are, there are also many others around. The best thing about this place was the space and the ability to stay in your own apartment without feeling like you’re missing out on anything. Very rare in Italy to find such facilities at this price!
The hotel is located at amazing place, with amazing views and with partial view to Positano as well. It’s professional staff takes care of everything and makes sure that your visit is unforgettable. The beach area is the best what this hotel brings, as the beaches are rarely accesible at Amalfi coast. Our double room was upgraded to delux triple room and we really enjoyed it! Thank you very much!
This is a great hotel. We were on little planned trip around Napoli and south Italy and booked just 2 nights. We enjoyed the stay so we added two more nights.
Location is great, between Positano and the town of Amilfi. We wanted to go to Sentiero degli dei (path of gods) and I recommend walking from this hotel to get most of the walk, ask for handwritten map in the lobby.
This property has the best view and location!! The service is impeccable and the breakfast is superb!.
The staff at Il Pino is one of the best in Italy!!. Rosa at reception couldn't be more helpful and kind, so accommodating!!
Guido, Assunta (spelling?) were amazing, so kind and helpful!!. Will be back for sure!!!
This is a beautiful family run hotel. Perfect accommodation for us as a family with rooms next to each other and a stunning sea view terrace. The roof top bar and restaurant is exceptional too. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. I would absolutely return to stay here in Praiano.
Aside from the astounding view of Positano,
the decoration of the lobby had a certain Italian charm with its ceramic figurines, plants and roses. The room was simple yet elegant. The hotel is within easy walking distance from the bus to Positano and Amalfi.
I absolutely loved everything about this hotel :) my first time in Italy and I chose to stay here because of the calmness and still would be able to enjoy Positano!! form
beginning to end Luigi and his family were behind excellent for us !!
Nice little hotel on the narrow roadside, very helpful, kind receptionists, spectacular view, the best swimming pool of the area. The cosy rocky beach down there is must visit, however 458 steps down and up :)
The location was perfect. Praiano is close to Positano and all of the Amalfi Coast but is a little quieter. Buses run regularly and the system is easy to use. The views from the villa are spectacular!
Absolutely my favorite hotel I have ever stayed in my entire life on Earth. Incredible views, food, service, room, ect. It was a flawless experience and I will return if I come back to Italy!
Amazing place! The best we stayed in Italy. Absolutely gorgeous view, great comfortable room with attention to all the little details. Would love to come back and stay longer.
