Franco is a wonderful host. We loved everything about Casa Cuseni - the location is amazing with a stunning view of the beach and mount etna. The house and gsrdens are beautiful. It was not a problem sharing the bathroom as it was spotless. We really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful villa of great historic interest in wonderful position over Taormina. Marvellous garden. Hosts are passionate about the heritage of the house and are willing to show guests some of the beautiful objects collected there. Nothing is too much trouble for them - they could not be more helpful and welcoming.

It was the most fabulous place to stay so unique filled with beautiful original art and sculptures that you would normally only see in a museum. Felt like you were transported back in time to 100 years ago as they've kept the house and garden exactly as it was when Robert Kitson lived there. Very very special very friendly staff and the breakfast was fantastic too.

The only very slight complaint is the bed was rather hard.

We loved the accommodation and would have loved to stay longer?

Everything. This is an incredibly beautiful house and the gardens are simply breathtaking. Our room, the Daphne Phelps, was huge with a lovely shared terrace. Breakfast is very good, you can have it outside, which is great. We could see Etna erupting (at a safe distance) from our room. One of the most unusual, fabulous places I have ever stayed in. The hosts, Mimma and Francesco, are exceptionally warm, friendly and attentive. Very close to the hiking trail to Castelmola, which is a must do. Also, read a House in Sicily before you go. I was able to find it on Amazon. One caution, a lot of steps, but then there are a lot of steps in Taormina....

The views from the rooms and their balconies are about the best that Taormina has to offer. The historical interiors and decoration are lovely. The staff were really helpful and greeted us with a glass of prosecco. Breakfast was huge and very nice. This place seems like *the* spot to stay in for a night or two in Taormina.

Due to the age and originality of the building, bathrooms tend to be shared, but this turned out to be fine. The owners aren't onsite at night or later in the evening, so if you have any questions (like what's the Wifi password), make sure you sort them all out when you arrive.

The owners and staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming! We were just absolutely amazed at the beautiful casa! The room was spacious, clean, designed with eclectic antique furniture...and the view from the room was just beautiful! Overlooking the sea and Mount Etna, what more can you ask for! I would absolutely come back to stay at Casa Cuseni, looking forward to bringing the extended family for our next holiday (we were my wife, 4 month baby boy and myself). And you if you do visit.. be sure to ask the owner to tell you a bit about this magical place with its rich history, famous guests (including Oscar Wild) and beautiful wall paintings.

Casa Cuseni was very atmospheric with beautiful grounds. All staff were friendly and helpful. The freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juices from the garden were delicious. Tips were readily given on restaurants, sites to see and transport.. A trip to historic Siracusa is a must as is a couple hour visit to Gardina Naxos to walk along the seaside promenade and have lunch. In winter there are more restaurants open in Gardina than in Taormina. The view of Mt Etna and the bay from our balcony was outstanding. The b & b was old, but the owners were making repairs. The breakfast room was pleasant with an excellent breakfast which included fresh rolls, cake, meat, cheese, yogurt, jam, local citrus and even eggs upon request. Nothing beats starting the day with fresh capuccino while watching Mt. Etna smoke. .

The hotel was not in the luxury category yet, and some furnishings were shabby but we think this will improve.. A slight inconvenience was we had to use a bathroom across the hall and the water was not always hot. The hotel had only a few guests and we had hopped to be transferred to an empty room that had a private bath since we had booked for 7 nights. There is no English language tv. The town is very hilly which requires walking steep inclines and steps to go anywhere . Transit to and from the train station and nearby Gardina Naxos is not convenient. A winter tip is that most restaurants are closed in Janurary and February, there are no winter tours and regional transit has been reduced.

What a stunning place! Magnificent building in superb location to capture beautiful views of the sea and Mt Etna. Very comfortable large, spacious room decorated in wonderful antiques. The Casa is like a living museum and offers so much to one staying there. The breakfast up on the terrace was good and with freshly squeezed fruits from the garden, freshly made coffee, muesli, yoghurt, rolls, etc. All very sufficient and nicely presented. And it's just an easy walk down to the main road with all the restaurants, and to visit the Greek amphitheatre. The owners were so hospitable and interesting, too. It's diferent, it's luxury, and I highly recommend it and I would definitely stay there again in the comfort of this very grand villa.

Casa Cuseni was a delight. The house is beautiful and the art, artifacts and garden likewise. Our host was truly wonderful - friendly, wonderfully informative and passionate in sharing his love of Sicily and Casa Cuseni. Our breakfasts were an absolute treat. The whole experience was enriching.

Casa Cuseni is for the discerning visitor who loves art and likes to stay in a place that is both a home and really a wonderful living museum. The owners are so friendly and share with you their love for the historic Casa Cuseni. Concettina, who works at the B&B will make sure you have the most perfect breakfast and will help you learn Italian. Casa Cuseni is an extraordinary place, the view from the room is of Mt. Etna and the crescent shaped Giardini Naxos below. Casa Cuseni contains all the wonderful things to teach you about Sicily's history, including, battles, puppet teatro, artists, such as the first owner of Casa Cuseni, Robert Kitson, and the many visitors through the years, including the other extraordinary artists, such as Pablo Picasso, and writers, such as Tennessee Williams, and great philosophers, such as Bertrand Russell. A salon and art house for the ages.

Casa Cuseni is an enchanting place to stay, a B&B in a 100 year old villa/museum steeped in atmosphere with an intriguing history. It is situated in an elevated position in Taormina with an extraordinary view over the township, the sea and the magnificent Mt Etna. It has also a beautiful terraced garden. The owner/managers and staff of Casa Cuseni couldn't have been more welcoming and gracious. My husband and I felt privileged to stay here and so lucky to be able to extend our stay here by one night. We didn't want to leave. By the way, you will also enjoy a delicious breakfast here.

Everything is sooo perfect! I especially shold mention their warmful hospitality and the stunning view from the terrace. It was quite hard to find as our first time in Taormina. Definitly recommendable for everyone. You can stay there as if you are living.

Casa Cuseni is a very special place, nothing to share with an ordinary B&B. Founded by the British engineer and painter Robert H. Kitson, built and decorated under the supervision of sir Frank Brangwin, president of the Royal Society, Casa Cuseni is a renown artistic site, reviewed in many important books and publications. The rooms are extraordinarily comfortable, elegant and clean. The present owners of the house are very kind in welcoming their guests and competent in introducing them to the amazing history of the house and to the wealthy collection of paintings, ancient furniture and art crafts from all over the world. The long gallery of famous artists, writers, philosophers and actors who sojourned in the house, the refined symbolism of its decorations and architecture, the vivid colors and the everchanging scents of its british-style garden, the breath taking landscapes offered by its balconies and its roof-garden, make the visit to Casa Cuseni an overwhelming experience for anybody who wants to know Sicily and dive the inner streams of its soul.

This is one of the best B&B's I have stayed in, and certainly the best of our accommodation in Sicily. The house is a beautiful haven, with an amazing literary heritage apparent in every room and fragrant gardens. We stayed in the Picasso Suite and had great views of the town, and Mount Etna, from our balconies. The owners were fantastic every day- fresh flowers at breakfast, helping with wine tasting bookings, tea and biscuits to your room in the afternoon, bottle of prosecco on the balcony one evening. The town was a couple of minutes walk, with a large choice of restaurants even in November. Thoroughly recommended.
