We had a wonderful stay. Perfect for 3 days in Venice. Very pleased with our stay.
April 26, 2015
Somewhat spartan and sombre compared with other apartments shown on the website. Ours (Veronese) had no terrace or balcony, which would have been a lovely addition. Try to get an apartment with access to the roof terraces.
Excellent location in a quiet neighbourhood, yet within easy reach of facilities and transport. Staff (Francesco and Maria) were very kind and helpful.

The bathroom was a bit small for a family of 4.
Everything in the apartment was great, but the balcony was one of the highlights of our trip to Venice as we would often hear Gondolas and boats using the canal and it was lots of fun seeing other tourists pass by and the local Venetian people in their boats going about their daily affairs.

Bed was a bit too firm for my liking.
Location and all that goes with it

The location was great, 10 minutes from bus station, with a canal below our terrace.

Just could NOT work out the washing machine, make sure get explanation before you attempt to use it.
Canal views from every window. Terrace with good sun, and view over the canal. Two canals! And neither were touristy canals, so cool to see locals casually maneuvering boats around the corners, loading workman tools, etc... Was great!

High ceilings, elegant furnishing, excellent kitchen facilities, quiet, easy walking distance to station and Rialto bridge, helpful and supportive staff.

the mattresses of the beds. Too hard and dis formed, but this is a problem in all Italian hotels and apartments, irrespective of price range.
location, spacious, central but quiet, canalview, kots if character and Great service by Francesco, helpful and very clear, perfect English, complimemti!

Everything from the wonderful staff picking me up from the bus station, to enjoying slow jams on the radio provided by the apartment and enjoying a nice glass of wine in Venice! I will stay here again. For my first time there was so much to see and not enough time. Thank you for the experience!

Great place, nice location - close to the city center but at the same time aside from the crowded streets. Interesting immersion in the life of Venice. Very welcoming owners ready to help.

this may be just a personal preference comment beds a bit too hard, we all found this, (firm is good but they need a pillow top or the like for those of us with out padding) also needed extra pillows and quilts rather than the blankets. But apartment very warm which is great, and the beds were clean
Location and the apartment was great! Staff very friendly helpful by email prior to arriving, via phone and in person. We all agreed a fantastic location and apartment.

Broken lamp, needed some more light in lounge room. Need instructions for washing machine.
Canal side location, close to train, close to San Marco, authentic Venetian accommodation, good staff attention. Modern facilities.
January 11, 2015
This authentic Venetian apartment is located "off the tourist track" near great wine bars and restaurants frequented by locals. Watching gondolas glide past the windows was magical.

The beds were a bit on the hard side and the dishwasher wasn't working.
Great location, clean apartment with lots of space and character, loved the painted ceiling.

It's an older building (as is all of Venice) but really quaint and traditional. Loads of space and close enough to everything. Hosts were great to deal with.

V. little. There is some routine maintenance required for furniture, lighting and bathrooms but nothing that would put us off staying again.
Large space for sitting and talking, in a quiet part of Venice with everything you need for the apartment close by. Quiet, we stayed on the fourth floor (top floor) with a lovely terrace which would be great in summer. Staff were helpful, met us near the station, allowed us to stay longer the day we left. All in all great. Much better than sitting around a hotel lobby.

Beds were fairly hard, but not impossibly so. Wifi was intermittent, but I believe this is a Venice-wide problem. Heating was not working when we arrived on the weekend but was fixed on the Monday. There is no-one at the property on the weekend if there are problems.
Locality was great - close enough to vaporetto stops if you don't feel like walking to some of the more distant tourist spots, but away from the very touristy areas, so it was possible to feel like a local, and high enough not to be flooded during acqua alta. Local squares (campos) were a delight. Being on the corner of 2 canals also meant an ever-changing view of Venetian life on the waterways.

Only that we couldn't stay longer!
Francesco and his staff (Maria and Pedro?) were awesome from the time they met us at the train station until the time we left. He made himself available to us for any questions we had, gave advice for enjoying the local attractions - do's and don'ts and even a map! - and was very helpful with suggestions when we had to change our travel arrangements at the last minute - his advice about the trains was spot-on! The apartment was spotlessly clean, very big, bright, and beautifully decorated. WiFi was very consistent as well. It is right on the corner of two secondary but busy canals. We very much enjoyed the balcony where we spent much time watching all the traffic of many kinds of boats, but it was very quiet at night. We used the washing machine and the very handy drying rack to dry our clothes. We cooked many of our own meals with groceries from the market in the piazza just down the way and there were plenty of pots, pans and utensils for us to use. Even some salt, pepper, and a little coffee was there as well. The apartment was away from tourist areas, but still only about a 15 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge, and about 25 minutes or so to St. Mark's Square. We were in a local neighborhood where we enjoyed the evening gatherings of residents who mingled and visited while the children ran around and played. We felt like locals, which is EXACTLY the experience we had hoped for. This is the place to stay if you not only want to be in Venice, but want Venice to be in you. This apartment hit it out of the park for us, and we would not only recommend it to anyone who asked, but would definitely stay there again should we ever be lucky enough to go back to Venice. Thank you, Francesco and staff - you were terrific!!

The canal view was promoted but the windows were very small and we were unable to open them because the mosquitoes were so bad. No efforts to prevent mosquito infestation had been taken. The apartment was not very clean, decoratively quite run down and the furniture was worn. Not enough towels were provided for a two day stay and I had to go and buy toilet roll.
Pretty location and near to some nice local restaurants. Characterful apartment. Great living room area with fresco ceiling. The apartment manager Francisco was charming and helpful and even came to meet us at the boat and walk us to the apartment which is just as well because I suspect it is not easy to find otherwise.

The Location was excellent and the apartment was very beautiful.
November 9, 2014
Needs a coffee table in the lounge, bedside tables and lamps in the small bedroom and another mirror.
Spacious, good facilities, excellent location in a quiet backwater. Well stocked supermarket very close by. Close to vaporetto stop so easy access to all parts of the city. Good value compared to a hotel. We'll be back!

Numerous insect bites after having the windows open.
The apartment is quiet and has everything you need for a short sightseeing stay in Venice. It is a place with plenty of charm and character. It has a very authentic feel from its fresco on the ceiling to its marble halls and stairway. The apartment has two good size bedrooms, a large sitting room with kitchen area and a good sized bathroom. It is on the third level up two sets of stairs. It overlooks a small canal and is opposite a University building which is not used at night so there is no noise to stop you sleeping. We were met at the Piazzale Roma after taking the Aerobus from Marco Polo by Franceso who walked us to the apartment- I am good with directions but I would not have found this place on my own.

Beds were a bit firm for our taste, and the twin beds were very low. Climbing the stairs to the apartment. Not an issue for us, but many bridges (and thus steps) to cross between bus station and apartment (you need to haul your luggage across these). We traveled light, so it was not an issue...and we informed Francesco ahead of time that it would not be.
Location - midway between bus/train station and Rialto Bridge, and off the main path between the two - <10 min walk either way. Very roomy. Greeting by Francesco at the bus station and his advice were great! Very quiet, despite what we had read in some reviews. Very secure. Frescoes and art in the apartment. View of the canal below. Away from hustle/bustle of Venice. Nearby gelato shop: Alaska Nearby bakery: (can't recall name, but between bus stop and apt, I think on corner of Campo de la Lana and Calle Sechera - green and white striped awning) Close-by and cheap sandwich shop: Bacareto Da Lele (near Piazzale Roma). Trip to Burano - very scenic...went at 8 am...almost had the island to ourselves. Pizza 2000: cheap pizza Grocery store (Coop) at Campo San Giacomo dell Orio, north and a little west of apartment

The flights of stairs up to apt was hard work as we had 4 cases between us and we all over 60. it nearly killed us). Whilst windows were overlooking canal couldn't open them as mosquitos would fly in.
the location and the quality of apt was good.
October 28, 2014
we couldn't get the oven to work. shower pressure wasn't very good - this is understandable in an old building. shower in ensuite was uncomfortably small.
the fact there was a washing machine and somewhere to hang our clothes was very good.
