Relax on the grounds at this friendly hotel, in the popular area of San Lorenzo in the center of Rome, surrounded by typical restaurants and cafés.
Score from 991 reviews Very good

Just a 5-minute walk from Roma Termini Train Station, Palma Residence has rooms with private bathrooms in 2 residential buildings, a 5-minute walk apart.
Score from 968 reviews Good
quite cheap , valuable
The room next to me made too much noise. I need to go out by night to complain them.
Staff spoke perfect English. The hotel premises look very nice. Excellent breakfast. Not so far from the city center - a bus stop is very close to the hotel and it takes just few stops to get to the historical center.
Rooms on the ground floor does not have a good view - you'll see a wall.
All is good, no inconvenientes
Room clean and comfortable. Really nice and various breakfast. Location and price - rather good :-)
Wi-fi connection actually not available :-(
Very nice staff, not too far from central Rome (walk 5 minutes to the bus and drive for 15 minutes), very clean, very effective blinds, good breakfast and no problems at all with the WiFi. Also very close to the Via Appia Antica and three of the catacombs.
A lot of noise from the other neighbouring guests, including loud singing at 6:45! Not that the hotel could help that, of course, but it was annoying.
reception, very nice and patient
if there could be a reminder of closing time to customer who are having their breakfast, it would be perfect!
- helpfull staff - clean room - located near Via Appia and catacombs - perfect breakfast - bus stop near the hotel, direct bus lines to the center of Rome
Easy to travel to & from Rome Central . Great valve for money . A++++++ :)
Excelent hotel for the money, very good quality, couldnt find fault
Nothing it was great
Great location to go to Rome by bus. Secure parking available. The staff is really friendly and the facilities were good. Just be cautious if you are coming back to the hotel at night, because it is a 5 min walk from the bus stop and Rome can be dangerous just like any other big city. The breakfast is simple, but good considering the price of the hotel.
The staff was friendly and helpful, most of them spoke good English. Breakfast was good and plenty. The room was quiet at night so we could sleep well. Also, it didn't get hot during daytime.
The room wasn't too clean, you should use a flip-flop all the time otherwise your sole gets pretty dirty. The cleaners sometimes took away the soap from the bathroom and forgot to refill the toilet paper. Wifi was very weak or didn't work.
Nothing much to like... I guess, I liked the fact that I wasn't robbed in my room. :) .............................................................................................................................................................................................
Sheets were dirty, internet connection very poor, no view, breakfast was mediocre (hard-boiled eggs, fake juice, some cheese and some salami, stale bread), no electrical outlet by the bed, irritating location, front desk had no bus tickets for sale
The hotel was very nice, good location, you can arrive very easy from the Termini station to the hotel, very good breakfest, very nice big room, with seif and air conditioner, next time for sure will stay here
The quality of internet, the same breakfest all the time
Quiet place, very nice and helpful staff, easy to get to the center of the city and train stations
Kind of thin walls, small rooms but we did not come to Rome to spend time in the hotel so it was all ok
The rooms and bathroom were both very clean. The wifi was good, the staff were very friendly. Rooms are air conditioned and the blinds keep the room nice and dark in the evening
It is a bit far out from the city, but is only a short walk from a bus stop which takes you straight to Termini train station
private parking spacious, nicely furnished room quiet position outside the centre good breakfast
very noisy air-condition old and damaged shower bath
breakfast clean room comfortable bed friendly staff good wifi connection location - about 15 minutes from city center but very quiet, next to the catacombs and Via Appia
Our room was very comfortable and clean and it close to bus stations to city centre.
We were in the hotel 10 nights and the breakfast was same in every morning. That was nice but very boring.
Clean, tasty breakfast, excellent value for money
Slow Wifi, lack of restaurant, far away from bus stop
We traveled to Rome with by car. The hotels offers free parking, gate protected. We paid a very good price which included breakfast, which was decent. Rooms size was good with plenty of storage space. Staff we interacted with spoke good English. Location to the city is good, but depends on what you are looking for. It's about a 3 minute walk to a bus stop which takes you to the city center in around 10 minutes. In the area itself there are some restaurants and shops. Walking to the city center, which we did, takes around 40 minutes. But this is definitely not advisable for everyone. Wifi was good and free. I'd definitely stay here again.
No real complaints. We chose this hotel due to it's strategic location when travelling with a car. It offered everything we expected. Breakfast was ok but not a great variety of choice. Also the re-stocking of the food took long. The 3 mornings I attended breakfast I didn't manage to get a single piece of regular bread as it was gone every time I got there. Also a lot of people where hogging all the cheese and meat. It was a bit of a barbaric scene at times. Beds were not very comfortable.
- the room was clean - the staff was nice and helpful - it is quite close to the colosseum - the fiid was pleanty and fresh
- poor wi-fi connection
The hotel is clean and comfortable with good rich breakfast, the territory of the hotel is rather big with a parking and small garden. The location is not in the center but there are buses 500 meters from the hotel going to the city center.
Clean and tidy and friendly
Can be a bit noisey but not after 11
The staff is very competent in all services I needed. The rooms and the linen were absolutely clean, the breakfast doesn't vary but it's very good for short stays (up to 5 days). The receptionist are very welcoming and helpful in everything you ask. This is an excellent alternative for those who want to be close to Rome's historic center but don't want to be in crowded and noisy areas downtown. However, you need to walk about 500 mts to reach the bus stop. The beds were very comfortable and compensate for the lack of an armchair in the bedroom, which is spacious enough for a couple. Communicating rooms are available for families with small children. A decent price is charged for simple but very good accommodation.
If you stay more than five days and need to wash some clothes, a self-service laundry machine would be helpful. The laundry nearby was not too close and the host must take his clothes and make all arrangements, which isn't any convenient. The Wi-Fi signal was weak and inconstant in the bedroom were I've stayed.
