Very close to everything
The smell from the furniture
Shower could be better.
A little tricky to find
The room was very nicely decorated and clean! breakfast was delivered to the room at a time of our choice and was very tasty. the location was quiet but close to the center.
the road was difficult to find at first and the sign was unnoticeable. check the street number!
Staff very friendly & helpful.
Room very small, bathroom for small people! Not easy to find - you must know the number, nothing to show it is a hotel
Excellent location very nice staff beautiful bedroom
I loved everything in the hotel, recommend others as well. Management is awesome, great tips what to do in Venice and talked honest to where and how much is everything. Also we came a little late after check in, the management cared and told us what to do if we arrived late. So planning to return to the location once again. Love love the rooms it's in the same look as we were in the old centuries. No complaints as much. And wifi is awesome so is the temps in the room.
The mattress can be a little more upgraded, but I can tell they keeping in like a tradition old times were like.
We spent 3 lovely days in this beautiful city, and enjoyed this hotel very much. The location was perfect. We could go almost every where by foot, and the hotel was near some of the most beautiful sights. The manager of the hotel was very helpful, and gave us much information and tips. We certainly recommend for everyone!
Location, air conditioning worked well, close to center and San Marco, near shops, and owner/staff was unusually helpful, room was decorated in Venetian style
Rooms not handicapped accessible, not a major issue for us but may be for someone else
Friendly and helpful service WIFI Excellent location
Walk from St Marks Sq with luggage not easy Up one floor (but that's pretty standard)
Owner Elizabetta was really helpful. I had some problems and she assisted all the way through ie helped to make phone calls and enquiries. Location is also very convenient.
Limited air con usage from 1 to 6am.
We liked location because we didn't want to use any transportation for going around. It was clean. The people were nice, kind. Again we will go there in coming year. Location is the middle of Venice. Perfect. Thanks
The breakfast had no much choices. The room was small but this is not problem. All of the hotel rooms are small in Venice because of the structure.
This was a very olde worlde family run Venetian hotel - - in fact I think it still is the family home. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and not just your run of the mill boxes you get in one of the chains. Good location 10 minutes walk from St Marks or 5 minutes from a vaparetto stop on the Canale Grande.
Breakfast was fairly bland and was served in our room - with so much fabulous food elsewhere in the city this didn't really bother us.
Owner was very friendly and helpful. Location was great.
The restaurants outside can be a bit noisy at night.
The service was great and the traditional style room was super cute.
Very nice BB in the centre of Venice, great location (5 min from Rialto and 10 min from San Marco). Old house with history. Good breakfast. All was clean, hot water and shower without any problems
The location was great. A relatively easy walk from the vaporetto stop, and close to sights. The room was charming and the beds were comfortable and clean.
The air conditioning did not effectively cool the room and it was quite warm. Although the room overall was very clean, the bathroom shower wall tiles were mildewed.
Hotels in Venice would generally be considered expensive so I thought that the room charge for this one was pretty good. It was clean and has an excellent position. The basic breakfast (served in room) was pretty good and the bed was large and comfortable.
We paid well in advance of our visit and, although I didn't see any other rooms, I felt that, because we had paid, the room we were given was probably not the best. Our one window looked out onto a small dark courtyard and our en-suite was tiny.
Location. Free Internet with good connectivity and speed. comfortable room.
Difficult to find. No room service and restaurant. Rooms at first floor with no lift so need to carry bags yourself.
Casa Fenice's main advantage is its location: less than a 10 min walk from San Marco piazza and a lot less from the vaporetto stop. Hence, exceptionally convenient. Also, the alley was - during most of the day- very quiet. The second main advantage is its people, as both Elisabeta (the owner-manager) and Giuliana were very nice to us. We really felt like home. Our room (101) was very elegantly decorated (although slightly too rococo for my liking - for some this may be a good thing), very bright and well fitted (mini fridge, A/C,TV and even mosquito repellent - perhaps the most essential gadget for Venice). Our bathroom was large, clean and seemed recently renovated.
The room was really tiny, which meant that the bed was not quite a double one (feeled more like a semi-double bed – 1,40 cm wide). Also the table where breakfast is served is even tinier. Eventually, even though the cost per sq m. may be among the highest in the world, given that this is Venice, I don’t think one can find better value. One last thing: if you can, try to avoid room 101 during summer, as the guests of dell’assassini ristorante can be very noisy at times.
The room was so nice and clean . We like the venetian design of the room. Near to St. Mark's square and other attractions. Convinient place to stay if you are in Venezia. I would definitely recommend this to others.
